By embodying these fruits of the Spirit, we not only grow spiritually but also create an environment that reflects God’s love and character. This helps us and others navigate periods of waiting with hope and strength, knowing that our actions align with God’s will and purpose for our lives. Through this, we become beacons of God’s light, providing support and inspiration to one another as we collectively seek His guidance for our futures.
[00:00:00] We're the spray friends together on our knees Let us pray friends together on our knees And I fall on my knees with my face to the rise in sun Oh no, we're here with mercy on the knees Welcome to the Bible Speaks with Elgin Carelock

[00:00:46] I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord Brothers and sisters I welcome you in the name of the Father The Son and the Holy Spirit to another edition of Words of Inspiration
[00:01:03] And today we are going to have a discussion on the topic of While You Wait, our spiritual inspiration comes from collage in three verses 23 through 24 And reading from the English standard version it reads But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
[00:01:34] gentleness, self-control Against such things there is no love When we find ourselves in seasons of searching for what's next in our lives It's essential to continue exemplifying the fruits of the Spirit towards one another These virtues should guide our interactions and behaviors
[00:01:58] Even as we wait for God's direction Jesus said the second greatest commandment is to love our neighbors as ourselves But is that possible when we are distracted by problems or worries of this life? The ability to be present in every interaction we have with one another
[00:02:20] Is essential for us being able to use our gifts to bless others First John 3 and 18 reading from the new international version reads Dear Children Let us not love with words or speech But with actions and in truth
[00:02:41] When we are distracted it's easy to give lip service to use the words of God like a bandage But not address the person's needs based on our spiritual gift For example, if your gift is encouragement instead of just telling the person that you will pray for them
[00:03:02] Give them an occasion when God came through for you and how you endured until it arrived But if you are currently in a season of waiting share that And let them know what you are doing to maintain your focus on what God told you to do
[00:03:20] Themestrating love means actively caring for and supporting others Finding joy in our relationship with God and His promises and promoting peace by resolving conflicts and fostering harm harmony We throw the word love around so much that it tends to lose its meaning
[00:03:41] We love a song or we love a particular food But as believers the kind of love we should strive to have is a goth-be love Which is unconditional Sacrificial love that seeks the best for others Patients this particularly crucial as waiting on God often requires
[00:04:04] Enduring periods of uncertainty with a calm and trusting heart This is something I struggled with for many years because I have always been a get it done type of person I didn't wait
[00:04:19] I just jumped into whatever solution I thought was best and usually ended up with scraped knees and elbows As I was learning more about God, he used the Holy Spirit to prompt me to be patient And when I didn't there was usually a price to pay
[00:04:37] For example once I was driving home on a road that ran through the southern part of town Doing a trip I was coming up to the inner state where I could cut at least 20 minutes off the trip
[00:04:50] The Holy Spirit told me to stay on the road. I was on But I thought that didn't make sense so I took the freely exit I didn't even get to the end of the ramp before traffic stopped and I sat in the same spot
[00:05:05] For two and a half hours before being able to proceed home Kindness and goodness involved looking out for the well-being of those around us Offering help encourage men and compassion whenever possible John 15 and 13 reads
[00:05:26] Greater love had no man than this that a man laid down his life for his friends Don't think of this as laying down your life as Jesus did But putting what you are going through aside to pour into the life of someone else
[00:05:43] Remember no matter what you're going through there's someone who would gladly trade places with you Your life is a dream for someone else So take the time to listen and be compassionate Maintaining faithfulness, gentleness and self-control Further strengthens our witness and bills a supportive community
[00:06:06] Faithfulness involves staying true to our commitments and trusting God's timing even when the future is unclear Back you five and sixteen reading from the new international version reads
[00:06:21] In the same way let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven gentleness requires us to approach others with a humble and considerate spirit acknowledging their struggles and offering comfort
[00:06:42] Self-control helps us manage our emotions and actions ensuring that we respond to challenges and delays with grace and integrity Second Peter one versus five through six reading from the new international version reads
[00:07:02] For this very reason make every effort to add to your faith goodness and to goodness knowledge and to knowledge self-control And to self-control perseverance and to perseverance godliness Self-control leads to consistency and the ability for others to look to you for guidance or
[00:07:27] To be blessed by watching the life you live When you live a life of self-control you may be a great influencer and not even know it Brothers and sisters by inviting these fruits of the spirit we not only grow spiritually
[00:07:45] But also create an environment that reflects God's love and character This helps us and others navigate periods of waiting with hope and strength Knowing that our actions align with God's will and purpose for our lives
[00:08:02] Through this we become beacons of God's light providing support and inspiration to one another as we collectively seek his guidance for our futures I want to thank you for joining us for this discussion on today and I look forward to our conversation on tomorrow Until then God bless
