[00:00:56] And today I'm joined by two of my favorite Bible scholars Dr. Ovidia Rulak and Dr. Brooks, who are just so amazing and on the day where I could use a little manifesting on myself You know, we're going to spend the next few minutes just rightly dividing the Word

[00:01:18] And the topic for today is a simple question What is going on? Our scriptural inspiration is coming from Habacca, Chapter 1, verses 2-4, which reads, How long, Lord, must I call for help?

[00:01:41] But you do not listen or cry out to you, violence, but you do not save. Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are before me, they're strife and conflict abound.

[00:02:02] Therefore, the law is paralyzed and justice never prevails. The wicked him in the righteous so that justice is perverted. You ever feel like that? You ever have times where even though you believe in God and you're giving your life to Jesus

[00:02:23] That this world has just absolutely lost his mind That you are seeing people who don't even try to love their neighbor, who don't even try to act if they understand who God is and what he's about But they are flourishing

[00:02:41] And you who are a believer in doing everything you can to treat your neighbor as yourselves and love God with all your heart, soul, and mind are struggling

[00:02:53] So today we want to talk about it. Is it okay that you feel that way? Are you a sinner because you feel that way? Who are you the question God? God asks, so where were you when I created to put it back into perspective

[00:03:12] And even with Hobacca he had to give him a sampling of what happens and what he does for him to fully understand who he is So with that I'm going to invite Dr. Row and Dr. Brooks to this lean in and let's talk about what he's going on

[00:03:37] Wow, you know brother Elgina just believed that most of us who have a relationship with the Lord has felt that way Is feeling that way or just come out of a situation

[00:03:57] And the question is, what is going on when I look back over the last eight months of my life and the test that came and I do understand that Testing come to God is either working something out in us for us or through us

[00:04:22] And the purpose of the test is to see what is really in our hearts Will you trust me no matter what you're feeling? Will you trust me even when you can't see what I'm doing And one of the things that I have learned in this season is to

[00:04:47] To purposely look forward the hand of God moving Because oftentimes what the enemy wants us to do is be so focused on our situation and our circumstance That we really missed the fact that number one God is with us He promised he'll never leave us not forsaken

[00:05:14] Number two, he said all things Even the situation I don't understand it don't feel good It don't look good. I can't even think good about it But that's where my faith comes in believing that What his words said that he's working it out for my good

[00:05:32] So whatever the enemy has meant for evil I have to trust God in his word that he's turning around for my good Yes So in going through this I had to take my eyes off the situation

[00:05:52] And really begin to see that God almost daily I'll begin to see God hand moving In a situation but when I was so focused on that situation and this particular situation Little he put me in bed for four days. I've never ever been that low

[00:06:13] But it put me in bed for four days But then when I released it how long lower do I have to cry for your help Yes, and I don't see you. I can't even feel you right now

[00:06:34] Then I begin to he took me to Kings when he began to speak There has a kayak and has a kayak beginning to remind him of his faithfulness Yes Begin to remind him God I've walked in obedience

[00:06:55] And so in that I was able to pull up my bootstraps You know, check it off and say, do you know what? I'm coming about these ashes And what I saw God do let me tell you let me tell you He moved on the situation just last month

[00:07:22] Yes, what are you doing? Won't he do it? And the process breaks with you feel on that Man I'll tell you I'm actually right there in it You may not have no but sister she's a doctor

[00:07:36] I've been with me in my wife for a lot of the songs I went through One of the major ones when we lost up to a boy Two years ago and I was at that place Why God? You know why?

[00:07:49] You know, I was at the place at the point of my death And my statement to God was I love you I'm upset with you though I'm mad, I'm hurt You know what I was my state continuum I was I've prayed for many people I did

[00:08:04] Which you told me to do it Striving as best as I can I've seen many miracles and I've seen your hand Move around and I said, I see you can be just this one You could just do this one thing for me

[00:08:17] I want to put up a set I want to hear from many preachers I want to hear from many pastors I'm prompted I don't want anyone to talk to me And I had to say them from me Because at that time I was so built up with anger

[00:08:30] And when I told God is this, and the midst of that Dr. Gail's and I said this I'm mad with you but I won't leave you I'm upset with you But I won't walk away Because you're the only one that can respond to me

[00:08:44] Now you're the only one that can help me through this I said, I would leave But who else am I going to turn to? It was like David, where can I go from your presence? If I make my bed and you're still there

[00:08:56] So I need you to deal with me with this Because I don't know why And I need you to help and I ask the Lord That says show me the blessing in the lungs Here's Albert, show me the blessing Show me the meaning of the loss

[00:09:10] If you can show me the meaning and why And God began to show me The blessings and even the miracles Even when we had the twin boys The process that it took and I was had He showed me that even though we were going through that trouble

[00:09:27] He was still there He showed me that he was still there And he began to answer And the statement that Dr. O made is something I've always said when you don't see God Here God and feel God It doesn't mean he's not there

[00:09:41] It simply means he's either working it out In you for you or through you or working it Around you, meaning those around you in And I had to walk that walk This time and talk that talk You know the different scriptures come in

[00:09:54] That there are my greatest sufficient But what really touched me is something that we all know For me scripture when he says Jeremiah, you know, in Jeremiah he says You know my thoughts towards your good and not evil You know, I'm not thinking evil about you

[00:10:09] I didn't do this to harm you I didn't allow this to destroy you And I said, you know, but it's going to work out for you It's going to bring you two better place And I didn't understand it then Man, I didn't understand it then

[00:10:24] I didn't want to understand it then But when God began to move again And I began to see his hand in every aspect of the storm And how he kept me and my wife still And how he allowed even different people to come together

[00:10:38] That would never come together How we saw different strings of the miracle That even then the process When they should have died long before that But he still kept them And how even non-believers that were in But we literally stayed in the hospital Like almost three months

[00:10:54] You know, during the process One note, not three about two months We were there living in the hospital During the process Why they were trying to preserve their life And keep them And I was watching even the doctors that didn't believe During the process

[00:11:11] Begin to find hope that hey, hey, if you don't make it Just two more weeks if you If we can do this and things with better The ones who were just non-believers that were so negative You have a zero-plot sent chance of these babies surviving

[00:11:24] And they survived longer Then they were actually given to survive Even until they did not make it And we could see that hand of God moving in the midst Of that time I didn't want to see that I don't want to hear You know, but God showed up

[00:11:38] And he proved himself And he has, you know He said, I don't want to know Those are, I think, 20 juices And also peace and I will give you to bring you to it Thank you then, I will give you a call Hope for your future

[00:11:50] And in the midst of that We found hope You found it And you know, that is That is an amazing story And I didn't know that And you know It is amazing When you're a logical mind And you're spiritual mind Meet When you say That Father, your sovereignty

[00:12:21] Is above all And he can take a situation As heart-wrenching As you in your wife And change the lives of many And for us to understand that part of Our giving God glory Is too, as you said I'm mad But I'm not leaving I'm mad

[00:12:46] But I'm not turning my back And not waiting Like I've seen people do When they've experienced a loss And believe me, I have had this conversation with my wife Because I asked her When your parents both are parents die from cancer And when you were praying to God

[00:13:07] And he didn't spare them Tell me how you felt And How you feel now And she realized that Their passing Was also an answer And that she But the journey from that point To now, which has been probably ten or twelve years Her understanding at this level

[00:13:35] Will allow her to do a level of ministry for other people That wouldn't have been possible Had she not gone through that Hard for us to see that sometimes Or even get our head around that But I said to Dr. O'Low earlier

[00:13:51] I said, you know, it's just like that spiritual soms And you'll understand it better Bye and bye I'm on with your living You're living the storm It's your experience It's your truth That pain is real And that's why we don't reject the pain Understanding it is the situation

[00:14:15] Understanding the process You understand that even Jesus himself You know, if you're possible to take this company But not nevertheless Namah will live That will be done Understanding your why Understanding the reason And I understood that Even though I'm upset Now I'm hurting you

[00:14:31] They're only one that can do this And in the process You know, speed up to now God remember us He remembered us And I tell my wife I don't want to go through this again Until I know that you He emotionally and spiritually healed already

[00:14:45] And God did it So now we have a beautiful three month old baby girl You know, and he remembered us You know, he was faithful And so in our name is His means God has been faithful It's on at least God has been faithful He remembered us

[00:15:00] And so the thing is that God God is faithful to his word He's a faithful and just God But we don't understand that process While we're walking through that storm Through that valley And through that struggle And just like you said with your wife Now we can answer

[00:15:16] Because, you know, everything I believe that every message that we preach We end up living That message we live with we preach And so that storm Now I can share even the more You know about a struggle That we went through And sometimes our storms

[00:15:33] Or our pain is the answer Or solution to someone else's pain or storm I was going to say there's purpose for my pain That's right It was the Lord You know, and I want Excuse me, I want people to understand that It is okay

[00:15:51] To feel the way you're feeling Because oftentimes as Christian people who love the Lord We want to put on super Christian in the midst of I test in the midst of our trials And so many people want to tell us Always lack of faith You're not trusting God

[00:16:10] I believe that God allows us to go through these tests Because the pain has a purpose And what I've heard even today Is even the things that have been suffered The pain that had been endured The greater glory is going to come out of this

[00:16:27] Because God is going to get the glory Because of the testimonies That's coming forth And not only are the testimonies coming forth What we all have gone through We have gained a testimony That we can share with someone else Who may be going through a situational circumstance

[00:16:47] And they're asking the question What's going on? This ain't Lord I don't understand My question to him is, are you on vacation? Have you forgotten about me? You know, that And I'm like, okay, well if you're not on vacation You haven't forgotten about me How long Lord

[00:17:06] But I've learned in the process of waiting again You know, my faith has been strengthened My ability to trust in him more As I tell you, it's amazing Where using an eye statement Where I thought I was in God And a situation such as this come along

[00:17:33] It really has pushed me into a deeper relationship We got than even what I had before And I'm grateful for that Because again, his glory The glory of the Lord, I test and trials Listen, he said a book for a moment They're light afflictions Really? Huh? It really?

[00:17:59] Light afflictions If you're not too light to me But you told me A greater glory is coming out of this And it is going to come out of this It's the process And as we go through the process We got a look for the progress

[00:18:20] Because God has purpose, fine pain Yes, and also The true realization of who he is And what he's capable of Comes from a blind level of faith Right? Where we either can't see what's going to happen next Or we can't see the light rationale behind

[00:18:46] What's going on now? A time where we've got wars And rumors of wars And we have people I watch video recently Of the epidemic of heroinatics in Philadelphia And it has become so normalized That there are people lying on the sidewalk Completely unconscious

[00:19:07] And people walking about as if they were a piece of paper No concern whatsoever Because it has become normalized And so for believers We're watching these things And we're saying father What is going on And I also believe that it's a Claring in call

[00:19:28] Through the body of Christ That you have responsibilities Here on earth Okay? You know, I put the Holy Spirit in you To give you the power To change these things And what's going on is a symptom of you not doing that You don't say so You keep quiet

[00:19:52] Instead of telling your child a turn That TV off at 9 o'clock You rather be non-confrontational Because you want to be a friend And then at 16 When you look out the window And your car is not there You wonder when was going on Instead of stepping up

[00:20:08] And I think that that's being called And it's not the cause of everything that we go through Because we don't have to mind the guy But what we understand is that if all things work for the good Of us who love him

[00:20:21] Then there is something that's behind it It also, you know There is, I believe that goes There is a caring call back to prayer My confoundation Where you're right We have sat back the church to sat back And allow these things to go Or this is the thing

[00:20:39] That's not my thing That's not my neighborhood of this Well, we're not called to a neighborhood Or that we're called to the people We're called to the edges of the house To compil them to come in And so to often we have the story of the good Samaritan

[00:20:55] Being displayed But we're now here as the Samaritan You know Where the church is walking by It's just, oh that's not a thing And that's not a people And that's the thing They're all his people And we are His children And if we are The kingdom of God

[00:21:10] If we are the righteous of God Then we ought to display that kingdom You know, I believe that Isaiah said rise just shine For the light is coming The glory of the Lord's risen upon the And why? Because ghost darkness is falling upon the earth And so

[00:21:24] Where the light goes shine We have the shine That we have to be those examples What to often I believe that we just so caught up In the things that we're going through Or the things that we're designed It's like everybody's just out for themselves Right now

[00:21:36] I believe that God is calling us Back to a place of prayer To the foundation of intercession Interceding on the behalf of those who are in need And then doing something about Not just praying and walking away But actually praying and living And you know

[00:21:50] When Peter and John Is out the gate called beautiful When they said, we're going to up to the man And we're going to lay from birth They didn't say, oh we're just going to pray For you know, this is Syrinkle Have I not but such as I have

[00:22:01] Whatever I possess I'm going to give it to you Because what you need is what I have You know, I see your need What you need is what I have And to often We want to offer a word of prayers I'm going to pray for you

[00:22:14] But you walk away Did you stand right there And pray at that moment Maybe they need to hear your voice Maybe they need to feel your heart Maybe someone just needs you to know Hey, I'm there Huggo You know what can you do

[00:22:26] And so a lot of times I see that In those situations We will tend to try to Because we feel like either It's not about us But then there's a deeper thing there And my tells us And I tell you what that Do you believe that you have

[00:22:44] What they need in you That is a great question And you know You know, it almost Feels as though God is actually not the same question And then how long will you let this go on? How long will you ignore the word

[00:23:07] That you say you have in your heart How long Will you not obey And I tell you I'm almost afraid of his response If we don't You know what Where this is really leading Okay, is And obviously we can't forecast The end of time

[00:23:28] Sometimes when they walk like a duck And quack like a duck Yeah You gotta just wonder But I'm going to let Dr. Oh have the Last start here Because we do have to wrap up And I just can't Explain to you

[00:23:46] What a joy is been having this conversation I'm just grateful to be a part of it today Brother Elgin and I think I've got my brother I'm just going to ask him If he's going to pass the doctor Brooks You know, in conclusion I know that

[00:24:04] No matter what we go through It is not a surprise God He said I know you're ending before you're Begending So he already know what we're getting ready to face And if we can stand on the assurance That he's with us That he's not never ever ever leave

[00:24:22] He's with us And if we could just keep Focusing on him Taking our eyes off the situation Off our circumstances Much difficulty I understand But no without a shadow of a doubt And that's what he wanted to know That this is just a light of reflection

[00:24:41] It's just for a moment Although it's seeing for how long How long He's saying greater is coming out of this Yes sure The other Lord is going to reveal Everything that we're going through And somebody else Will be able to benefit from it as well Yes

[00:25:00] Normally I have a way that I end this show But today we're going to ask Dr. O to give us a prayer Father, we thank you We praise you, we honor you We worship and adore you We magnify you, glorify your exalt The Olam of God

[00:25:17] We thank him, praise your father We praise you, thank you God for every listener We pray right now for those who are going through situations and circumstances in their lives And God they are asking the question How long I pray today that you Dispatre your ministering angels

[00:25:33] To be in camp to bottom Lord, that they will hear and feel your presence Let them know that they are not alone And God let them be strengthen Knowing that this too Shell pass and that all things To good the bad The things they bring us

[00:25:47] The things that make us laugh The things that make us cry God you have a divine plan And that divine plan Is to work it out in our favor For our good And we'll keff it to give you praise Lord and honor in Jesus' name We do pray
