[00:00:00] Let us pray, Grant together on our knees. Let us pray, Grant together on our knees.

[00:00:13] When I fall on my knees with my face to the rising sun, O Lord, ever see on me.

[00:00:26] Welcome to Words of Inspiration with your host and teacher, Elgin Carelock.

[00:00:31] Now let us hear from Elgin.

[00:00:33] For the Lord give it wisdom out of His mouth, come knowledge and understanding.

[00:00:39] You layeth up a sound wisdom for the righteous. He is a buckler to them that walk up rightly.

[00:00:46] He keepeth the path of judgment and preserveeth the way of His saints.

[00:00:52] Then shall thy understand righteousness and judgment and equity.

[00:00:57] Yay, every good path. Proverbs 2 verses 6 through 9.

[00:01:04] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of Yeshua Hamashiyah

[00:01:09] and I am excited to spend this time exploring God's Word together.

[00:01:14] In Luke chapter 22 verse 42, Jesus is praying in the Garden of Gethsemane

[00:01:21] and he says, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me.

[00:01:28] Nevertheless, not my will but thine be done.

[00:01:33] So I wanted to speak to you on the subject of nevertheless faith.

[00:01:37] Nevertheless is a term used to introduce a contrast or qualification

[00:01:43] to a previous statement or situation.

[00:01:47] In the context of Jesus' teachings and conversation, nevertheless often serves to emphasize a shift

[00:01:54] in focus or to underscore the important point.

[00:02:00] Similarly in Matthew 26 and 39, Jesus pray, my Father, if it is possible, may this cup be

[00:02:09] taken from me, yet not as I will but as you will.

[00:02:14] So here nevertheless translated as yet, emphasizes Jesus' commitment to fulfilling God's

[00:02:22] plan even in the face of personal anguish.

[00:02:27] In other instances, nevertheless may be used by Jesus to challenge or correct a misconception

[00:02:34] as he does in Luke chapter 5 verse 5 when he tells Simon and Peter, Master, we've worked

[00:02:41] hard all night and haven't caught anything.

[00:02:45] But because you say so, I will let down the net.

[00:02:49] Despite Peter's initial skepticism, he obeys Jesus' instructions leading to a miraculous

[00:02:57] catch of fish.

[00:02:59] So even though Jesus was a carpenter and Peter was a fisherman, nevertheless is why he

[00:03:09] cast his net on the right side of the boat.

[00:03:12] And by casting his net on the right side of the boat, meaning right as instructed by the

[00:03:18] word of God and not the opposite of left, his nevertheless faith caused that bountiful

[00:03:26] catch of fish.

[00:03:27] So bountiful that it was almost sinking his ship, he had to call a second ship over

[00:03:32] to help bring all of that fish to the shore.

[00:03:36] So what does nevertheless mean to you?

[00:03:39] When you are faced with challenges whether it's physical or financial or even spiritual,

[00:03:45] are you willing to allow God to take the lead?

[00:03:49] Are you willing to let Jesus be Lord of your life?

[00:03:54] Not just as a parachute when you feel like you're in a free fall in life.

[00:03:59] Nevertheless, in the case that you understand that God has the best answer, that we may

[00:04:08] not understand the method that is used to bring about whatever God's will is for our lives.

[00:04:16] But our faithfulness and our diligence and our obedience is how it comes to fruition.

[00:04:23] We have to be willing to look at every scenario in our lives.

[00:04:28] Good and bad and acts is this God's will.

[00:04:31] And nevertheless what I see, what I feel is overridden by our trust in God and our faith

[00:04:40] in God.

[00:04:41] So brothers and sisters, be encouraged because nevertheless God loves you.

[00:04:46] And so do I.

[00:04:47] God bless.

[00:04:48] I have wandered far away from God.

[00:04:58] Now I'm coming home.
