God's promises as reliable, truthful, and unchanging. Believers can have complete confidence that what God has promised will come to pass because of His inherent nature of truthfulness and faithfulness.

[00:00:00] We welcome to the Bible Speaks with Elgin Carelock, the Bible Speaks is a weekly ministry of harvest international. Our prayer is that the Bible Speaks will encourage you in your study of God's Word.

[00:00:38] You will be able to contact Elgin at the address given at the end of this broadcast. And now here's Elgin. Have a discussion on the promises of God. Our spiritual inspiration comes from Numbers, Chapter 23, Verse 19, and reading from

[00:01:12] the new Living Translation, it reads, God is not a man so he doesn't lie. He is not a human so he doesn't change his mind. Has he ever spoken and fell to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?

[00:01:33] As we move through life, there are undoubtedly times when we experience situations that seem impossible. How do we have faith enough to get through? The one thing I can tell you is that if you're able to hear my voice, then God has brushed you through thus far.

[00:01:52] You're having times in the past where you are not sure how things would work out and God worked it out. The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34 and 19, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of the wall.

[00:02:11] But Sister Julian and I are here today to tell you that that deliverance is the product of God's promises to us. Hello everyone. God's promises are based on truth, unlike humans who might lie or deceive, God's nature is truth itself, ensuring that his promises are trustworthy.

[00:02:38] God's promises are unchanging. Humans may change their minds or go back on their Word, but God's purposes and promises are steadfast. He does not alter his promises based on changing circumstances. Whatever God speaks, you will act upon and whatever he promises he will fulfill.

[00:03:01] This is sure believers that God's promises are not empty words but will be accomplished. One of the toughest things we have to realize while waiting on the promises of God is that he is eternal.

[00:03:17] In fact, the Word tells us in 2 Peter 3 verse 8, but you must not forget this one thing dear friends. A day is like a thousand years to the Lord and a thousand years like a day. Since we operate in Chronos' time, we have deadlines and our guilty sometimes of

[00:03:40] one in God to work within our window. But as a eternal guide, he moves at the right time for the accomplishment to have his best result. Scripture also tells us in Psalm 14513, in the new Living Translation, for your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations.

[00:04:06] The Lord always keeps his promises. He is gracious and all he does. And Isaiah 5511, also in the new Living Translation, God says it is the same with my word. I send it out and it always produces fruit.

[00:04:27] It will accomplish all I want it to and it will prosper everywhere I send it. So when God promises to never leave you or forsake you, you can bank on it. But it does not mean there won't be seasons where it takes longer than we like.

[00:04:48] The way we keep our sanity is to understand that God loves us and only once was best for us. This love can include periods of allowing some of the things kept away by grace and mercy to get to you.

[00:05:03] In most cases, this is a value of growth and not punishment. Abraham shows us an example of believing in the promises of God in Romans 4, 20 and 21, new Living Translation reads, Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise.

[00:05:23] In fact, his faith grew stronger and in this he brought glory to God. He will fully convince that God is able to do whatever he promises. Can you imagine being told to leave everyone and everything you know to go somewhere

[00:05:41] you have no idea of what is waiting for you or the life you will have, not to mention being told to sacrifice your only son? Brothers and sisters, fully trusting in the promises of God involves knowing God's character.

[00:05:59] By studying the Bible and reflecting on his faithfulness, cultivating a personal relationship with God through prayer and worship. Applying faith in our daily life by acting on his promises, live his dog's promises are true and surrendering control of your own plans and timelines to him.

[00:06:22] And remembering God's past faithfulness in your life and the lives of other believers. Let's promises are reliable, truthful and unchanging. We can have complete confidence that what God's promise will come to pass because of his inherent nature of truthfulness and faithfulness.

[00:06:46] We want to thank you for spending time with us on today and we look forward to our conversation on tomorrow. Until then, God bless. God bless. I've worked hard. This program is cared for by listeners who care.

[00:07:10] Your prayers and financial investment in this ministry helps to keep the good news on the air. We look forward to hearing from you and invite you to write us at harvest international, post office box 66690 Ocalaflora 3478. Come in.
