[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Elgin.

[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Brothers and sisters, I welcome you, the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit

[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_01]: to another edition of Words of Inspiration.

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_01]: And today we're going to have a conversation on an aspect of your walk that is crucial

[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_01]: if you're seeking to live a meaningful and successful life.

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Our topic today is the importance of wisdom and the fear of the Lord.

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Our spiritual inspiration comes from Proverbs chapter 1 verse 7, reading from the new

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_01]: international version it reads, The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_01]: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_01]: This verse highlights two essential truths.

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_01]: First, it tells us that wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Second, it warns us that rejecting wisdom leads to ultimate destruction.

[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_01]: So what does it mean if you're the Lord?

[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_01]: It's important to understand that this fear is not about being terrified of God.

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Rather, it's about having a deep reverence and respect for him.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_01]: It recognizes his majesty, authority, and holiness, and responding with awe and obedience.

[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_01]: The fear of the Lord is about acknowledging that God is the source of all wisdom,

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_01]: and that our lives are best lived aligned with His will.

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_01]: This reverence is the starting point of wisdom because it places God at the center of our decision

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_01]: making and life choices.

[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_01]: When we fear the Lord, we are more likely to seek His guidance, follow His commands,

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_01]: and live in a way to honors Him.

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_01]: This is the foundation of Pine Witch, all other wisdom is built.

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Proverbs 1 also emphasizes the importance of actively seeking and embracing wisdom.

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_01]: In verses 20 through 21, wisdom is personified as a woman, calling out in the streets,

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_01]: raising her voice in public squares, and urging people to listen to her counsel.

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_01]: This imagery shows that wisdom is not hidden or reserved for a select few.

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_01]: It is available to everyone and anyone who is willing to seek it.

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_01]: However, the chapter also issues a stark warning, those who ignore wisdom, who reject

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_01]: instruction, and discipline are on a path to calamity.

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_01]: verses 32 through 33 state, for the waywardness of the simple will kill them,

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_01]: and the complacency of fools will destroy them.

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_01]: But whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease without fear of harm.

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_01]: These verses remind us that the choices we make have consequences.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Embracing wisdom leads to life, security and peace while rejecting it leads to ruin.

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_01]: The importance of wisdom cannot be overstated. It is a matter of life and death,

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_01]: both spiritually and practically.

[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_01]: So how do we cultivate wisdom and the fear of deloed in our daily lives?

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_01]: You are a few practical steps.

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Study Gods Word

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_01]: The Bible is the ultimate source of wisdom. Regularly reading and meditating on scripture allows us

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_01]: to understand God's character, His commands, and His will for our lives.

[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Proverbs itself is a treasure trove of practical wisdom for everyday living.

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_01]: See God in prayer. Ask God for wisdom in your decisions on a daily basis.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_01]: James 1 chapter 5 encourages us that if we lack wisdom, we should ask God, who gives generously

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_01]: to all without finding fault, surround yourself with wise counsel.

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Proverbs 1320 reminds us, walk with the wise and become wise,

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_01]: for a companion of fools suffer harm. Surround yourself with people who fear the Lord

[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_01]: and live according to His principles. Bear in size and examples can help you grow in wisdom,

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_01]: and in confidence. Practice obedience. The fear of deloed is demonstrated through obedience to His commands.

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_01]: As you align your life with God's Word, you'll find that wisdom becomes more evident in your

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_01]: choices and actions. And finally, reflect on God's majesty. Take time to contemplate the greatness

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_01]: of God. Whether through nature, worship or choir reflection, remind yourself of His power,
