[00:00:00] Welcome to the Bible Speaks with your host, Elgin Carelock. The Bible Speaks is a daily podcast dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, rightly dividing the Word of truth and learning how to apply it to our daily lives.
[00:00:55] You may contact Elgin at the address given at the end of the broadcast, and now here's Elgin. President Sistza's I welcome you in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus to Christ, to another episode of Words of Inspiration.
[00:01:13] As we look at the world around us, we see a world that appears to be more violent and ever before with more deaths, crazy weather phenomena, wars and ruins of wars, homelessness and suffering. We've had a discussion previously where our backache was accent God, how long will leave
[00:01:38] or prevail. But I'm here today to talk about the bigger picture. What we are seeing is an all-out attempt by Satan to create a world that is discouraging to believers that we become so despondent about what we see today
[00:01:58] that we lose our ability to press our way to tomorrow. I want to speak on the subject of the battle for tomorrow. Our spiritual inspiration is second Corinthians four versus 17 through 18, which reads, where our light of friction and momentary troubles are achieving for us in the
[00:02:24] eternal glory that far outweighs the mall. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. Since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Psalm 30 verse five reads, for his anger lasts only a moment,
[00:02:50] but his favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping may stay for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Even when what we are seeing in the world was permitted by God, we have to understand that it came to pass.
[00:03:09] It will not be permanent even though it may last years. As we study the word of God, we have to realize that Satan knows it too. He is as well-read as any Bible scholar or teacher and though he does not have the ability to
[00:03:30] see the future, he knows enough to recognize those who are following the word of God. He doesn't know your purpose, but as you move further into his accomplishment, he can put obstacles in your way or use other people, or worse,
[00:03:50] use your own pride against you. So what do I mean by that? Sometimes Satan attacks things in your life that you would be ashamed of losing to get you to forego your mission. He can get you to stop pressing by the threat of you
[00:04:07] losing your home or your car. He can have you worrying about what people will say when your house has been for closed-down. So much so that you take matters in your own hands
[00:04:19] to solve the problem, even if it's outside the will of God. As one who has been through and in all honesty is going through now, it is hard to be Paul calling my anguish a light of
[00:04:34] friction. But when I compare it to what Jesus endured or somebody apostles, it doesn't compare. But that doesn't change how it makes me feel. What I try to do is focus on my purpose
[00:04:50] and lean on the very thing I discuss with you. It can be so exhausting pouring into others when you feel empty. But the emptiness is usually caused by something we see and not the truth. Paul encourages us believers to focus on the unseen and eternal,
[00:05:12] which means prioritizing spiritual growth, faith and the promises of God over temporary worldly concerns. But how do you do that when it seems like your whole world is crashing around you?
[00:05:25] The plain truth is you might be right. It might be what God requires, and we have to be willing to accept that, knowing that His purpose may call for a greater sacrifice on your part
[00:05:42] and no matter how bad the fall He will get the glory when we rise again. Brothers and sisters to prevent Satan from stealing your purpose and the blessing of tomorrow remains steadfast in your faith. Trusting that God is working through your trials to bring about
[00:06:03] His greater plan for your life. Keep your focus on God's promises and maintain a spirit of perseverance, knowing that today's challenges are shaping you for a future filled with His abundant blessings. I thank you for joining me on today, and I look forward to our discussion on tomorrow
