Trusting in His promises allows us to live without anxiety, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares for us and will provide for our material and spiritual needs. This divine order not only enriches our personal lives but also enables us to be a blessing to others. Simply stated, if we “Prioritize what God wants us to do, He will take care of all of our needs.”

[00:00:56] And today we are going to have a discussion on the topic of Seek Ye First. Our scripture inspiration is found in Matthew chapter 6 verse 33, and reading from the English Standard Version it reads, but Seek Ye First, the kingdom of God, and His
[00:01:22] righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. This is a very familiar text from most of us, but I wanted to take a deeper dive into what it means from the standpoint of our everyday lives.
[00:01:39] Too many times we accept what we are told regarding the Word, but I believe our Heavenly Father wants us to not only listen to the Word, but understand what He's saying. In fact, Proverbs 4 verse 7 tells us, wisdom is the principal thing.
[00:01:59] Therefore get wisdom and with all that getting, get understanding. So let's start our discussion with what it means to Seek. In the natural world, Seeking is about looking for something. Whether it's something that was lost or something you need, Seeking requires effort, diligence and persistence.
[00:02:25] The same is true in the spiritual, but there was nothing lost. Spiritual Seeking is about prioritizing God's Word, His will and purpose for your life. During this process we are constantly in the Word, studying and leading on the Holy Spirit for Revelation.
[00:02:48] Spiritual Seeking is about making the will and Word of God a priority. Therefore when you say, Seek He first, you are putting yourself in an optimal position to hear from God and to receive the love of guidance necessary to accomplish that which you are praying for.
[00:03:09] One of the greatest things about Seeking God first is found in Hebrews 11 verse 6. Which reads, but without faith it is impossible to please him. For He that come with the God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
[00:03:34] Next let's look at the words His kingdom. What is the kingdom of God? The kingdom of God refers to God's sovereign rule over all creation. It highlights His authority, dominion and power. Psalm 103 verse 19 reading from the English Standard Version reads, The Lord has established
[00:03:59] His throne in the heavens and His kingdom rules overall. The kingdom of God is fulfilled by His will being dominant on earth as it is in heaven as we read in Psalm 23. This is His righteousness. The righteousness of God encompasses His moral perfection, justice, faithfulness and redemptive work.
[00:04:28] It assures believers of His consistent and just character, His commitment to truth and fairness and His merciful and saving actions through Jesus Christ. According to Corinthians 5 verse 21 reading from the new and national version reads, God
[00:04:49] made Him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. Jesus died for our sins that we may have the authority over sin and through the guidance
[00:05:05] of the Holy Spirit, live a life that exemplifies our Father's righteousness. A more definitive explanation is found in Micah chapter 6 verse 8. Again reading from the new and national version, it reads, He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
[00:05:28] And what does the Lord require of you to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God? Finally our scripture text ends with with Jesus saying, and all these things will be added to you. So what things is He referring to?
[00:05:50] To better understand what Jesus is saying, we only need to look at the verse just before. After you six verse 31 reads, so do not worry saying what shall we eat or what shall we drink or what shall we wear?
[00:06:08] For the pagans run after all these things and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them. Not only will God supply your basic needs but when we are in His righteousness as it says
[00:06:22] in Psalm 37 verse 4 which reads, delight myself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of theinar. Brothers and sisters by focusing on God's kingdom and His righteousness, we cultivate a deeper spiritual maturity, wisdom and discernment which guides us in making decisions that honor Him.
[00:06:49] Additionally trusting in His promises allows us to live without anxiety, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares for us and will provide for our material and spiritual needs. This divine order not only enriches our personal lives but also enables us to be a blessing to others.
[00:07:10] Simply stated, if we prioritize what God wants us to do, He will take care of all of our needs. Because this is, I thank you for spending time with us on today and I look forward to our conversation on tomorrow. Until then God bless.
