As believers, it is our responsibility to make waves in the world by living out our faith boldly and sharing the transformative message of the gospel. Our actions, words, and lifestyles should draw attention not to ourselves, but to our Father in Heaven, bringing Him glory.

[00:00:00] Welcome to the Bible Speaks with your host, Elgin Carelock. The Bible Speaks is a daily podcast dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, rightly dividing the Word of Truth and learning how to apply it to our daily lives.

[00:00:55] You may contact Elgin at the address given at the end of the broadcast, and now here's Elgin. Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit to another episode of Words of Inspiration.

[00:01:13] And I have this to do with me on today, so I'm very happy. And today our topic will be on Making Waves. Our scripture rule is racing comes from 1 Peter, 2, 1. And reading from the new living translation, it reads, But you are not like that.

[00:01:42] For you are a chosen people. You are a royal priest, a holy nation. God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

[00:02:01] We live in a world that has become so politically correct that we not only want to keep people from saying things that are offensive, but we also don't want them to say anything that we disagree with either.

[00:02:16] As a result, we have people who can declare a sexuality different from what God created. Movies and television shows that were intended to be funny have been censored for the potential of being offensive. And where's the end? It is totally taboo to ever mention God outside of church.

[00:02:39] Psalm 107 verse 2 through 8, reading from the English-standard version reads, Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He redeemed from trouble and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.

[00:03:01] Some wondered in desert ways, finding no way into a city to dwell in. Three and thirty, their souls faint within them. Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and He delirited from their distress.

[00:03:18] He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in. Let them thank the Lord for His steadfast love, for His wondrous works to the children of man. What do I mean by making ways?

[00:03:35] God did not create us to sit quiet and go with the flow. In the King James version, verse 9 says, we are a peculiar people, which means as peculiar people we are to reflect God's holiness, proclaim His praises, and demonstrate His love

[00:03:57] and truth in the world that often operates by different standards. Hello everyone, Romans 12 and 2, new living translation reads, don't copy the behavior and customs of this world. But let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.

[00:04:23] Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Matthew 5, verses 14 through 16 in the new international version tells us, you are the light of the world like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.

[00:04:46] No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket, instead a lamp is placed on a stand where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see so that everyone will praise

[00:05:05] your heavenly Father. As I've mentioned, I'm a registered nurse and was working as a telephonic case manager. This includes speaking with patients or their families on the phone to help them manage their medical condition and assist them in any of the follow-up care or needs.

[00:05:26] While on the phone with a patient one day, they said to me, you're a believer aren't you. I replied, yes I am. They responded, I thought so. To this day, I don't know what I said but I believe it was the way I made them feel.

[00:05:45] We weren't supposed to talk about our religious beliefs but when someone brought it up, I always responded with a good word. So be different. Show people that you care, smile, speak to people you don't know. Show the love of God and everything you do.

[00:06:05] I allow them to see the goodness of God and that he can bring them out of darkness. Don't be afraid to make waves. As the believer, it is our responsibility to make waves in the world by living out our

[00:06:22] faith, boldly and sharing the transformational message of the gospel. Our actions, words and lifestyle should draw attention not to ourselves but to our father and heaven bringing him glory. Brothers and sisters, by embodying Christ's love, grace and truth in our daily interactions,

[00:06:48] we become beacons of hope and light in the world often shrouded by darkness. This means actively seeking opportunities to serve others, standing out for righteousness and speaking the truth of God's word. When we live in a way that reflects God's character and share the good news of Jesus'

[00:07:10] Christ, we not only fulfill our calling as His ambassadors but we also lead others to the joy and salvation found in Him. Thus magnifying His glory and extending His kingdom on earth. I thank you for spending time with us on today and I look forward to our conversation

[00:07:31] on tomorrow. Until then, God bless. God bless. The Bible speaks is sponsored by C squared, realty and new gen construction group to help spread the gospel to the corners of the earth. If anything you've heard, put into your life, please share it with someone.
