Today we are going to discuss hearing from God.

[00:00:32] And now let's hear from Elgin And so they asked me, they said, Brother, teacher, how do I hear from God? Why is it that I can't hear from God? If I do something wrong? So today we're going to have a discussion about hearing from God
[00:01:12] And one thing that I want to tell you is that in our human existence, we do have intuition And our intuition gives us a feeling urging or as some of us refer to it as a gut feeling That we should or should not do something
[00:01:33] And that's very valid And that is part of your human psyche But in the spiritual realm, the way that you know that you're hearing from God
[00:01:46] First, I will tell you that it won't be like the burning bush where you're getting some visual manifestation right in front of you Or Lisa hasn't been the experience of anyone I've known in the last couple of thousand years
[00:02:02] But it will be a voice that sounds like yours But the way that you know that it is the Holy Spirit is because it's talking to you So it's in the third person I'll give it to you, I'll give you an example
[00:02:21] I was walking out of the house the other day and just as I went to the kitchen and threw the door out into the garage The Holy Spirit said to me, Hey, weren't you supposed to carry so-and-so So there's no information and I was like, Oh yeah, thanks
[00:02:40] And so I went back in the house and I got it So as I said, it is always talking to you So you've had times where someone says something to you And you were going to respond
[00:02:55] And the Holy Spirit said to you, I'm not really sure that that is something that you should say I think we should come out without that little bit better And then you take the time to think it through Hopefully take a few deep breaths And you respond appropriately
[00:03:15] So hearing from God isn't always a earth-shattering thing It's a voice that sounds very similar to yours But it is talking to you Instead of coming from the inside like your intuition does or a gut feeling does
[00:03:35] And my advice to you is that when you have those times Listen Because God is interested in everything that you do And he promises that if we seek him first In other words, if we seek his counsel He will not only direct our paths or our steps
[00:03:59] But he will give us the desires of our heart So brothers and sisters, I wish you well I wish you to take time and tune in to that voice And recognize when God is speaking to you And the more you recognize, the more you're here
