The Bible Speaks - Words of Inspiration - First Who then What

Send a text God's love for us is immeasurable and deeply personal, reflected in His desire for us to live an abundant life—a life full of purpose, joy, and fulfillment that aligns with His divine will. This abundance, however, is intrinsically linked to knowing and understanding who He is. God's love is not just a distant, abstract concept but a transformative force that seeks to enrich our lives through a relationship with Him.

God's love for us is immeasurable and deeply personal, reflected in His desire for us to live an abundant life—a life full of purpose, joy, and fulfillment that aligns with His divine will. This abundance, however, is intrinsically linked to knowing and understanding who He is. God's love is not just a distant, abstract concept but a transformative force that seeks to enrich our lives through a relationship with Him.

[00:00:00] We're the spray friends together on our knees, let us pray friends together on our knees And I fall on my knees with my face to the rise in sun, all over the earth, you see on the knees

[00:00:27] Welcome to the Bible Speaks with Elgin Carelock. The Bible Speaks is a weekly ministry of harvest international. Our prayer is that the Bible Speaks will encourage you in your study of God's Word,

[00:00:38] You will be able to contact Elgin at the address given at the end of this broadcast. And now here's Elgin Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit To another edition of Words of Inspiration

[00:00:56] And today our discussion is on the topic of First Who, Then What? Our Squirtual Inspiration comes from Psalm 139 verses 7 through 10, and reading from the new international version it reads

[00:01:18] Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens you are there If I make my bed in the depths you are there, if I rise on the wings of the dawn

[00:01:34] If I settle on the far side of the sea even there your hand will guide me Your right hand will hold me fast From the time we are old enough to make decisions ourselves, the world wants to tell us what we should be

[00:01:53] We should drive this kind of car living this kind of neighborhood and have this kind of job If we are not careful we can become filled with anxiety and stress because we do not have those things that the world says we should

[00:02:09] Some even resort to a life of crime and still from others in order to gain what they believe they are supposed to have I'm here today to tell you that we should not be worried about what we should have but rather who we receive those things from

[00:02:28] James chapter 1 verse 17, reading from the new international version tells us that every good and perfect gift is from above Coming down from the father of the heavenly lights who does not change like shifting shadows

[00:02:47] By understanding who God is we are able to study the word in a way that brings understanding and wisdom It is through this wisdom that we understand what God desires for us and has already predestined for us if we are in a right relationship

[00:03:06] Our understanding begins with the Trinity, God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit The Father is the Creator and sustainer of all things the Son Jesus Christ is the word made flesh Who redeemed humanity through his death, burial and resurrection

[00:03:29] And the Holy Spirit as the presence of God in us to bring God glory and to change the world through sharing the good news of Jesus Christ In 2 Corinthians 13 verse 14 Paul says,

[00:03:45] May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all Knowing who God is, his holiness, sovereignty, love, wisdom and faithfulness helps us as believers approach him with the reverence trust and humility he deserves

[00:04:08] It ensures that our requests align with his will, acknowledge him that his plan and purposes are ultimately for our good and his glory When we comprehend God's character, when we comprehend God's character, we're more likely to seek his guidance and desires rather than our own

[00:04:29] Fostering a spirit of submission and gratitude. This understanding transform our prayers from mere wishes into meaningful dialogues that cultivate a deeper reliance on God's provision and timing And reinforces our faith that he knows what is best for us

[00:04:49] Consequently, our petitions become more thoughtful and aligned with God's greater purposes leading to spiritual growth and a more profound experience of his presence and peace in our lives Psalm 37 verse 4 reads, Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

[00:05:12] The key word in this verse is give, meaning because he is in us in the form of the Holy Spirit, He will give us the desires to what things that are consistent with who he is and who we are in him.

[00:05:28] When we rest at level of understanding, Jesus tells us in John 14 and 13, and whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Brothers and sisters, God's love for us is immeasurable and deeply personal.

[00:05:51] Reflected in his desire for us to live in a abundant life, a life of purpose, joy, fulfillment that aligns with his divine will. This abundance, however, is intrinsically linked to knowing and understanding who he is.

[00:06:11] God's love is not just a distant abstract concept, but a transforming force that seeks to enrich our lives through a relationship with him. As we grow in our knowledge of God's character, his holiness, goodness, wisdom and faithfulness,

[00:06:28] we began to trust him more fully and align our desires with his. I thank you for spending time with us on today, and I look forward to our conversation on tomorrow, until then, God bless. I've wandered awake from the world.
