[00:00:46] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit To another episode of Words of Inspiration As we strive to live the lives that bring God glory, there are times when it feels like our efforts are not being appreciated
[00:01:08] We are constantly pouring into others and some seem inappreciative or even entitled I wanted to have a discussion with you today to encourage you to keep going Your reward is on the way Our topic for today is Almost There
[00:01:30] And our spiritual inspiration comes from the Book of Galatians, Chapter 6, Verses 9-10 And reading from the English Standard Version, it reads And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up
[00:01:52] So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone and especially to those who are of the household of faith
[00:02:02] During the time of this epistle, the church in Galatia was in a state of chaos because of those who believed Gentiles should change to the Jewish belief system Including circumcision in order to be followers of the law and those who believed that a Romans 10-9 experience was enough
[00:02:23] In today's time, this can be represented by those who are trying to advise you on matters you didn't ask for their opinion
[00:02:33] They look at your life and ministry and always have a word for how things should be done, even though they do not know what God told you to do
[00:02:44] This type of influence, if not guarded, can cause you to question your mission and purpose and begin to look at the challenges associated with doing God's will as a chore, and every facet brings you anxiety
[00:03:00] In our scriptural texts, Paul tells the church not to grow weary in doing good This phrase addresses the human tendency to become discouraged when we do not see immediate results from our efforts
[00:03:16] Paul is urging the believers to trust God's timing and divine economy, reinforcing that guide notices every effort made in faith and will honor it in his own perfect time
[00:03:31] Just as Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 3, it may be our purpose to plant or water, but it is God who gives the increase
[00:03:43] We may not ever see the fruit born from our efforts, but knowing God will use our effort to fulfill his promises should be enough to keep us moving forward during our tough emotional seasons
[00:03:57] We must always recognize frustration and confusion as tools of the devil in getting you to give up and to stop doing your good works
[00:04:10] What I wanted to point out to you is we bring God glory by serving others, and even though there are times we endeavor to help those who are not our assignment, God sees your heart
[00:04:25] Many times the breakthrough you are seeking from God is tied to your willingness to deny self and keep doing what God told you to do In other words, you are looking for God to open a door when you're supposed to be the door
[00:04:42] So don't let thoughts or frustrations keep you from a breakthrough that is just around the corner Brothers and sisters, stay strong and steadfast in your faith, for the Lord's timing is impeccable and his promises are true
