"Amen" serves as a spiritual anchor, solidifying the believer's trust in God and reinforcing their steadfast commitment to Him, despite any visible evidence to the contrary. In this way, saying "Amen" is both a testament to the believer’s faith and a spiritual declaration that God's will is paramount and ultimately good.
[00:00:00] Let us pray, bread together on our knees
[00:00:07] Let us pray, bread together on our knees
[00:00:14] When I fall on my knees with my face to the rising sun
[00:00:21] Oh Lord, never see all the need
[00:00:27] Welcome to the Bible Speaks with Elgin Carelock

[00:00:38] You will be able to contact Elgin at the address given at the end of this broadcast
[00:00:44] And now, here's Elgin
[00:00:47] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you, whoever you are, wherever you are
[00:00:52] And whenever you're listening to words of inspiration
[00:00:56] Today we are wrapping up our discussion on the benefits that we received when Jesus got up
[00:01:04] And it's only fitting that we talk about when you say Amen
[00:01:12] Our inspirational scripture is coming from 2 Corinthians 1 verse 20
[00:01:20] And I'd like to read it to you from the Amplified Version
[00:01:25] And it reads, For as many as are the promises of God in Christ they are all answered yes
[00:01:35] So through him we say our Amen to the glory of God
[00:01:42] Saying Amen at the end of the prayer or a declaration effectively means so be it
[00:01:49] Or it is so
[00:01:51] Affirming that what has been said is true and asserting one's faith in the spoken word
[00:01:58] It acts as a verbal stamp of assurance and acceptance
[00:02:02] Inviting the believers' trust that God will act according to the truths and requests that have been articulated
[00:02:10] In many instances, Amen can be seen as a way of returning glory to God
[00:02:16] Ending a prayer or declaration with an acknowledgement of his eternal nature and sovereignty
[00:02:23] This usage is a way of wrapping up the spoken words with an acknowledgement of God's greatness and supremacy
[00:02:31] Amen is not just a communal response, it's also a deeply personal one
[00:02:38] It signifies the individual's personal faith and trust in Jesus Christ as the foundation for receiving and believing God's promises
[00:02:48] It reflects a heart posture that relies not on our own understanding or strength but on the faithfulness of God as revealed through Jesus Christ
[00:03:00] This personal aspect makes Amen a declaration of faith whereby the individual aligns themselves with God's truth
[00:03:09] Belief in the foundation upon which Amen rests, it signifies that believers do not just hope but truly believe that the prayers offered, the blessings invoked or truth declared
[00:03:25] Align with God's will and will come to fruition
[00:03:30] Saying Amen thus embodies a commitment to the content of what has been said
[00:03:36] Expressing a confident expectation that God is listening and will respond
[00:03:42] It is both a declaration of faith and a spiritual act of placing one's trust in the divine
[00:03:50] Reinforcing the belief that God is actually involved and sovereign over all aspects of life
[00:03:58] When we say Amen, we are actually exercising our faith
[00:04:03] Asserting our confidence that God hears our prayers and will act according to his perfect will
[00:04:09] This act of faith acknowledges God's ability to fulfill promises, respond to petitions and manifest his will in our lives
[00:04:19] It reflects a deep-seated belief that regardless of the circumstances, God's power and love are at work
[00:04:28] In Matthew 9 verse 28, when Jesus entered the house of the blind man, he asked
[00:04:35] Do you believe that I am able to do this?
[00:04:39] And they answered, Yes Lord
[00:04:42] When we say Amen, it is the same thing
[00:04:46] We are saying that we believe and are anticipating the fulfillment of God's will
[00:04:51] Even if it is not what we were asking for
[00:04:55] Amen serves as a spiritual anchor, solidifying the believer's trust in God
[00:05:01] And reinforcing the steadfast commitment to him, despite any visible evidence to the contrary
[00:05:08] And this way, saying Amen is both a testament to the believer's faith
[00:05:13] And a spiritual declaration that God's will is paramount and ultimately good
[00:05:21] So with that, please join me in saying Amen
[00:05:25] And I thank you brothers and sisters for joining me this week
[00:05:29] And I look forward to next week when we will rightly divide the word of truth
[00:05:34] Until then, God bless
[00:05:38] And find it far away from God
[00:05:46] This program is cared for by listeners who care
[00:05:50] Your prayers and financial investment in this ministry helps to keep the good news on the air
[00:05:55] We look forward to hearing from you and invite you to write us at Harvest International

[00:06:16] Come in home, come in home
[00:06:25] Never more to wrong
[00:06:34] Open wide, night on the love
[00:06:44] Oh, I'm coming home
