Micah 6:8 reads, He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? God is faithful and will do His part, are you willing to do yours?
[00:00:00] Let us pray, bread together on our knees
[00:00:07] Let us pray, bread together on our knees
[00:00:14] When I fall on my knees with my face to the rising sun
[00:00:21] Oh Lord, never see all the need
[00:00:27] Welcome to the Bible Speaks with Elgin Carelock
[00:00:30] The Bible Speaks is a weekly ministry of Harvest International
[00:00:33] Our prayer is that the Bible Speaks will encourage you in your study of God's word
[00:00:38] You will be able to contact Elgin at the address given at the end of this broadcast
[00:00:44] And now, here's Elgin
[00:00:46] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus the Christ
[00:00:52] To another, the Bible Speaks
[00:00:56] And today we have a wonderful treat
[00:00:59] We have the opportunity to spend time discussing our topic with the true Bible scholar
[00:01:07] Because here is a person who is not ashamed to rightly divide the word and to go deep
[00:01:14] Because in order for us to have dominion over the world as God intended us to
[00:01:22] We have to have clarity, we have to have focus, we have to have purpose
[00:01:27] And so it is our hope tonight that we will have a discussion that will enlighten you
[00:01:35] That you'll be able to take away a few nuggets that will allow you to be better used by God
[00:01:41] To accomplish his purpose
[00:01:44] So with that I'd like to introduce Dr. Darrell Brooks
[00:01:50] Who is a pastor, who is an apostle, as I said, he's an educator
[00:01:55] He's just so many things and recently knew that
[00:02:01] And God great
[00:02:03] And so we're going to be speaking this evening on the topic of what is my part
[00:02:10] And our scriptural inspiration comes from Proverbs 18 verse 16
[00:02:18] Which reads, a man's gift make it room for him and bringeth him before great men
[00:02:28] Throughout our Christian journey we're told to wait on God and he will direct our path
[00:02:35] And while I know these words to be wisdom, I want to have a discussion about what God expects from us
[00:02:44] While we wait
[00:02:46] In our inspirational scripture Solomon is sharing his thoughts on how we properly function in God's plan
[00:02:54] The Bible discusses spiritual gifts primarily in the New Testament
[00:02:59] Particularly in the letters written by the apostle Paul to the early Christian communities
[00:03:05] These gifts given by the Holy Spirit are meant to build up the body of Christ
[00:03:11] And to enable it to function effectively in the world
[00:03:15] The spiritual gifts can be found in Romans chapter 12 verses 6-8
[00:03:22] Ephesians chapter 4 verses 11-12
[00:03:28] 1 Peter 4 verses 10-11
[00:03:33] And 1 Corinthians 12 verses 4-11, 28-30
[00:03:41] And the spiritual gifts include prophecy, serving, ministering, teaching, exhortation, encouragement
[00:03:54] Giving, leadership, administration, wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miraculous powers, prophecy
[00:04:06] Distinguishing between spirits, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues
[00:04:13] Apostleship helps administration, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers and speaking
[00:04:23] But before I move forward, Dr. Brooks made an observation on the distinction between apostleship and apostles
[00:04:34] And I would love for you to share with them what you share with me
[00:04:39] Amen, Dr. Elgin, I love you, I love what you're doing
[00:04:44] And I thank God for your honor, you for that
[00:04:47] All that God has purposed for your life
[00:04:49] But when we were talking earlier, the distinction between the apostleship and the apostles
[00:04:57] Understand that there were many missionaries and there were many other prophets that walked in the apostleship
[00:05:04] They had an apostolic mantle on their lives but they were not called apostles
[00:05:08] The apostles were not called or affirmed if you will
[00:05:12] Until Christ called the disciples apostles
[00:05:15] But that does not mean that they did not have those others did not do the work of what apostles do
[00:05:21] It's God, the government, building, structure, pulling the church together, foundation of the new church
[00:05:31] And so a lot of times we have to know our place or when you're talking about what is my part
[00:05:38] And it is so amazing that you were talking about this
[00:05:41] I have several leaders in our ministry or an organization and several of them came to me already affirmed as apostles
[00:05:51] But when they got there, the conversation that we had recently was exactly the same thing
[00:05:56] What is my part?
[00:05:58] I know an apostle but I don't do what you do
[00:06:02] I know I'm an apostle but I'm not led to do this
[00:06:06] And I begin to talk to one of them
[00:06:08] I said, well you're a teacher
[00:06:11] And I said that's also one of the gifts
[00:06:14] You're a teacher and you teach
[00:06:17] You may not preach and prophesy and do the other things like I may do
[00:06:21] And you're like, well I'm not like you
[00:06:23] I said, oh and that's okay
[00:06:25] I said what's wrong with you being an apostolic teacher
[00:06:28] Because you teach on foundation, you can teach structure, you know how
[00:06:32] To instruct those who are doing what they're doing
[00:06:35] And even though you have the call or the gift of apostleship over your life
[00:06:40] What is wrong with you being an apostolic teacher because we need that structure, that foundation and government
[00:06:46] We need that now in the body of Christ
[00:06:49] And I said the problem is this
[00:06:51] We're so busy trying to be everybody else instead of being who God called us to be
[00:06:56] Right
[00:06:57] And being confident in that gift
[00:06:59] And in that place
[00:07:01] So when you broke down all these spiritual gifts, man
[00:07:03] I'm like this is what the body of Christ means
[00:07:06] And this is what we need because again
[00:07:08] Because we don't know what we're purpose to do
[00:07:12] Or created to do
[00:07:14] We will assume a position or a title
[00:07:18] But not meet the qualifications for that position or that title
[00:07:23] And that's probably what the scripture meant by
[00:07:26] Some were called and some just went
[00:07:29] Thank you sir
[00:07:31] It was many a call
[00:07:34] Few were chosen
[00:07:36] And so when you say some just went
[00:07:39] Here's what the Lord told me
[00:07:41] He said many a call
[00:07:43] But few meet the qualifications
[00:07:46] That's right
[00:07:48] And that was really why it was so purposeful on my behalf to list those out
[00:07:54] Because in the other side of it
[00:07:57] Sometimes we see someone who is anointed and gifted in a certain aspect
[00:08:04] And you think man I'd really like to do that
[00:08:07] And there is really nothing that keeps you from trying to emulate that
[00:08:12] But the question is are you walking in your gifting?
[00:08:16] Yes
[00:08:17] And your gifting may be something totally different
[00:08:20] And you can obviously have more than one
[00:08:23] But is that what God's using to bring him glory number one
[00:08:30] Improve the lives of others number two
[00:08:33] And then have dominion in the marketplace number three
[00:08:36] You know and I'm glad that you said the marketplace
[00:08:40] Here's the issue that we have now
[00:08:43] And I believe well one of the issues because
[00:08:45] But one of the issues I believe that's happening in the church today
[00:08:49] Is you have the foundational leaders
[00:08:53] We're talking about old school, old time
[00:08:55] You know and believing that power, the prophecy, word interpretation
[00:09:01] And the cross between having that same anointing in the marketplace
[00:09:08] They try to draw a line some afford some against it
[00:09:11] But here's the thing
[00:09:13] The church needs to be in the marketplace
[00:09:16] That's right
[00:09:17] The apostles, the apostles should all the gifts need to be operating in the marketplace
[00:09:22] And because the thing is this
[00:09:24] Because this sees this society now that we're in
[00:09:27] The time that we're in, this generation that we're in
[00:09:30] They're not coming to what we call traditional church
[00:09:34] That's right
[00:09:36] And so I believe that the scripture where he says go on to the hedges, the highways
[00:09:42] And compel them to come in
[00:09:45] The anointing, our gifts don't need to be seen among those who are still gifted
[00:09:49] Say that
[00:09:51] And think about how much of Paul's ministry was in a synagogue
[00:09:56] Ah, come on
[00:09:58] He was in the marketplace
[00:10:00] He was in the marketplace
[00:10:01] Almost exclusively
[00:10:03] And why was Jesus so upset when he saw what they were doing in the temple
[00:10:09] Come on
[00:10:10] He called them a den of thieves, did he not?
[00:10:12] Because they were cheating people
[00:10:14] They were giving them defective animals
[00:10:17] They were gouging them on the exchange of their currency for the currency that they were using to give offerings
[00:10:24] And so part of us having dominion is all of the mountains
[00:10:30] He wanted us to be congressmen and presidents and school teachers and the whole thing
[00:10:37] It's not just for what happens in the four walls of a church
[00:10:40] That's it
[00:10:42] And we're more effective when our influence is received
[00:10:48] The thing is this
[00:10:49] We have a lot of people that because of who they are
[00:10:52] Like you stated, congressmen, leaders, world leaders
[00:10:56] They cannot, because of the positions that they hold
[00:11:00] Stay locked into a certain place or a certain ministry
[00:11:04] Because again, when you're a world leader, you're leading everyone
[00:11:08] But here's the thing
[00:11:09] What about the people that you have an ear to
[00:11:13] That are willing to come where you are?
[00:11:15] Can you imagine being called to the president's side to be his prayer apartment
[00:11:22] In that call saying, hey, Dr. Elgin
[00:11:26] You know what, I want you at the White House to sit at the table
[00:11:28] And I got some things that are happening and I just need a word from the Lord
[00:11:32] That's what they did scripturally
[00:11:34] And the princes and the leaders biblically called for the prophets
[00:11:39] Before they made a governmental decision
[00:11:42] Yes
[00:11:44] On what to do
[00:11:45] Oh, absolutely
[00:11:46] Absolutely
[00:11:47] And was it never can answer or make a difference
[00:11:51] Oh, and by the way, have your God pray for me too
[00:11:54] Yeah
[00:11:56] Because he understood the power
[00:11:58] He understood the power
[00:12:00] And so us understanding our part in today's time
[00:12:06] Is really about using your spiritual gifts
[00:12:10] And using them in a way that leaves a lasting impact on the lives of others
[00:12:16] Contributing to a legacy that goes beyond our own lifetime
[00:12:21] Yes
[00:12:22] Whether it's through leadership, teaching, prophecy or any other gift
[00:12:27] The effects of using your gifts can ripple through generations
[00:12:31] For instance, teaching can shape individuals' worldviews and ethical frameworks
[00:12:38] I dare say some of the things that we see right now
[00:12:41] From something as simple as people don't even act like they're going to stop at a stop sign
[00:12:46] They don't even slow down like they're going to
[00:12:49] If that's not what they want to do, right?
[00:12:51] I mean everyone has a mind to do what they want to do
[00:12:54] And not what God would have them do
[00:12:57] I watched a couple of weeks ago, there was a puppy running in the street
[00:13:02] And there were at least four cars that stopped in the middle of the street
[00:13:08] And these ladies get out and they're chasing this puppy around to get him out of the street
[00:13:13] Now at the same time, about a week ago, my wife was driving on from an appointment that she had
[00:13:20] And there was a woman who was obviously having a mental issue
[00:13:24] Walking around in the street and people just swerved around
[00:13:28] No one stopped
[00:13:30] So what does that say?
[00:13:33] What does that say?
[00:13:35] How many people of God just swerved around that young lady
[00:13:39] But would stop for a puppy?
[00:13:42] Where did we get off?
[00:13:44] Where did we get off?
[00:13:47] So I just try to have trouble understanding sometimes
[00:13:52] My God, I think we've lost the moral compass
[00:13:59] Between what we should do, what we're called to do
[00:14:05] And what we desire to do
[00:14:07] We say we want to be used of God
[00:14:10] But that was a clear opportunity to exercise your faith
[00:14:15] I know that at one point you're talking about faith without works is dead
[00:14:18] That's right
[00:14:19] That clear opportunity to exercise your faith or your witness
[00:14:23] Seeing that you have this ministry in your compass
[00:14:26] About so many greater plight of witnesses, why not you operate in that gift?
[00:14:30] And so we want to operate in the gift when it's on display
[00:14:33] On the stage between the behind the pulpit
[00:14:36] But that's not where it's needed
[00:14:38] That gift is needed with that soul that was in the streets
[00:14:42] But instead we'll run and grab a puppy
[00:14:45] Yes, it reminds you of the story of the Good Samaritan
[00:14:51] That the cross crossed the street, the Levite crossed the street
[00:14:55] But yet a person that the residents of Judah had nothing to do with
[00:15:03] They didn't want to mix with the Samaritans
[00:15:05] Even though the Samaria was the biggest city in Judah
[00:15:09] But they didn't want to mix with them
[00:15:11] But yet he was the one who came to aid
[00:15:14] The person that you don't expect, the person that you overlooked
[00:15:18] Is the one that has the heart
[00:15:21] That's right
[00:15:23] And so you mentioned works and that's a great segue into another scripture
[00:15:31] My two favorite books are James and Rowan
[00:15:34] I mean, obviously I love God's word from cover to cover
[00:15:38] But James and Rowan kind of speak to me because sometimes I really identify with Paul's journey
[00:15:45] And James just makes it plain
[00:15:48] That's what I like about James, he just makes it plain
[00:15:51] And so James 2 verses 14 through 17 reads
[00:15:56] What good is it my brothers
[00:15:58] If someone says he has faith but does not have works
[00:16:02] Can that faith save him?
[00:16:04] If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food
[00:16:09] And one of you says to them, go in peace, be warmed and filled
[00:16:14] Without giving the things they need for their body
[00:16:18] What good is that?
[00:16:20] So also faith by itself
[00:16:24] If it does not have works is dead
[00:16:27] Is dead
[00:16:29] We can have faith in God to supply our needs
[00:16:33] But he has expectations that we understand that we are blessed to be a blessing
[00:16:39] In fact Genesis 12 and 2 says
[00:16:42] And I will make you a great nation
[00:16:46] And I will bless you and make your name great
[00:16:49] So that you will be a blessing
[00:16:53] So even when God delivers the blessing
[00:16:56] He expects us to use it to bless others
[00:17:00] In addition to tithes and offering
[00:17:05] One of the key points in this discussion is
[00:17:08] Making sure that we are clear that we are in the effort business
[00:17:12] And God is in the result business
[00:17:15] What we have to do is sharpen our talents and gifts
[00:17:19] So that God can not only use us in a wider range of scenarios
[00:17:22] Of serving His people
[00:17:24] But can enlarge our impact, influence and income in the marketplace
[00:17:31] That is one of the ways your gift makes room for you
[00:17:36] I'd like to know your feelings on
[00:17:39] I actually had a pastor tell me once
[00:17:43] That he thought it was self-serving
[00:17:47] To want to make money
[00:17:49] That God would agree with impact in the world
[00:17:54] And influence in the world
[00:17:56] But it wasn't about income
[00:17:59] But I asked him, so how are we to
[00:18:04] Clothe our brother, feed our sister
[00:18:08] Help them find a house, all those kind of things
[00:18:11] Without any money
[00:18:13] So I'd like to get your thoughts on that as well
[00:18:17] The love of money is the root of all legal
[00:18:24] Love
[00:18:26] But I believe money answers all things
[00:18:32] I'm trying to get that scripture there
[00:18:37] Leave it said Ecclesiastes 10 and 19
[00:18:42] Okay, so herein
[00:18:49] We have an issue or they have an issue
[00:18:52] You want God to supply everything
[00:18:54] But when he sends the seed
[00:18:56] The Bible says he gives seed to the sower
[00:18:58] When he sends the seed
[00:19:00] The seed is not necessarily for you to continue to sow into you
[00:19:03] But it's for the work of the kingdom
[00:19:05] That's right
[00:19:07] When you said that it brung back
[00:19:09] Something that happened in our church years ago
[00:19:12] We were having service and there were two twin girls
[00:19:15] That lived in a neighborhood, they were street walkers
[00:19:17] They were really something that was wrong
[00:19:20] But they came to the church
[00:19:22] Now when they came to the church
[00:19:24] They were, it was a rough situation
[00:19:27] And some of the leaders told me
[00:19:29] Pastor we need to send them away
[00:19:31] Because they smelled
[00:19:33] We need to send them away
[00:19:35] Send them where? Send them away
[00:19:38] I said let me ask you a question
[00:19:40] Where are we?
[00:19:41] Said the church
[00:19:42] I said, did I send you away?
[00:19:44] Wow
[00:19:46] Here's the thing
[00:19:48] Don't tell me what they need
[00:19:50] When it's in our power to meet the need
[00:19:54] If you see that they need help
[00:19:56] If you see they need to be cleaned
[00:19:57] If you see that they need clothing
[00:19:59] Why don't you both take them down to the Walmart
[00:20:02] Which was down the street
[00:20:03] Buy them cleaning stuff
[00:20:05] Buy them clothes
[00:20:07] Bless them
[00:20:08] And then
[00:20:10] Come back to church
[00:20:12] Yes
[00:20:13] Tell me what we can't do or send them
[00:20:15] No, no, no
[00:20:16] If we have it within our means to do something
[00:20:18] To help them to bless them
[00:20:20] So they did it
[00:20:21] Watch the outcome
[00:20:22] You said something
[00:20:23] You said about influencing
[00:20:25] Influencing
[00:20:27] What can we do to influence
[00:20:29] And make an impact
[00:20:31] In the lives of those that are
[00:20:33] We touch in the lives of those around us
[00:20:37] Being influential
[00:20:39] And so when you said that
[00:20:41] So amazing, I'm getting kind of excited here
[00:20:44] But what happened was
[00:20:46] Those young girls came back to the church
[00:20:49] But they didn't come by themselves
[00:20:51] Because of blessing
[00:20:53] They brought their brothers
[00:20:55] Their sister
[00:20:56] Their mom
[00:20:57] Their whole family came back to the church
[00:21:00] Because we took the time
[00:21:02] Those leaders took the time
[00:21:04] To go and see about them
[00:21:06] And so when you said this
[00:21:08] What can God use you
[00:21:10] For wider ranges
[00:21:12] To be a blessing to enlarge your impact
[00:21:14] To influence and income in the marketplace
[00:21:17] Your gift will make room for you
[00:21:19] But it does not make room for you
[00:21:21] Just so you can be blessed
[00:21:23] Your gift makes room for you
[00:21:25] To enlarge your heart
[00:21:26] To have compassion
[00:21:28] And souls that he sent you to
[00:21:30] Your gift, our gifts are not for us
[00:21:32] I gave you these gifts for the perfecting
[00:21:35] The edifying and the perfecting of the saints
[00:21:38] And so when you talk about the marketplace
[00:21:41] It takes money
[00:21:43] If you're gifted as a business leader
[00:21:47] And finances, we need that
[00:21:50] You know, we need that
[00:21:52] Who has supplied to Paul on his journeys
[00:21:57] That's right
[00:21:58] And even if we go down
[00:22:01] To the basics, right?
[00:22:03] I mean trade
[00:22:04] Paul made tents
[00:22:06] Joseph and Jesus
[00:22:08] And Jesus, they were carpenters
[00:22:10] Carpenters
[00:22:11] They still had to eat
[00:22:14] Right?
[00:22:15] I mean they still had a vocation
[00:22:17] And so while as you so eloquently stated
[00:22:21] The love of money is the problem
[00:22:24] I mean God has no problem with you being wealthy
[00:22:27] I've seen estimates of what they think
[00:22:30] Solomon was worth in today's money
[00:22:33] And I've heard numbers as high as $500 billion
[00:22:37] In today's money
[00:22:39] How wealthy he was
[00:22:41] And he didn't ask God for that, did he?
[00:22:44] Oh my God, you're in my mind
[00:22:46] He asked for wisdom
[00:22:50] To be able to lead God's people
[00:22:53] To judge rightly between the righteous and the undreifed
[00:22:57] To judge rightly
[00:22:59] And guess what God did?
[00:23:00] God gave him the money to not only judge
[00:23:03] But to provide
[00:23:04] That's right
[00:23:05] And that's sort of what is meant by seeking first
[00:23:11] And all the rest will be added
[00:23:14] But it also is the
[00:23:18] Realization of exceedingly and abundantly
[00:23:21] Above all we can think or ask
[00:23:24] Right?
[00:23:25] Because when we're doing our part
[00:23:27] When we're doing our part
[00:23:29] And that's why I said that we're in the effort business
[00:23:31] And he's in the result business
[00:23:33] Because he seized the effort
[00:23:35] And he took those two young ladies
[00:23:38] And he multiplied them
[00:23:39] So just like they were the fish and the loaves of bread
[00:23:46] He multiplied them because of the diligence
[00:23:49] Right?
[00:23:50] When Jesus sat down and told everybody to sit down
[00:23:53] And he blessed it
[00:23:54] God said, you didn't see that's my boy
[00:23:56] He gets it
[00:23:57] That's it
[00:23:58] Now watch this
[00:23:59] Okay
[00:24:00] Can I share?
[00:24:02] I'm gonna share a story
[00:24:03] And I don't know if I've shared it with you before
[00:24:05] But I helped start a Christian Academy
[00:24:08] Up in Gainesville, Florida
[00:24:10] And we were having the dinner one night
[00:24:13] And the premise was
[00:24:15] The students who are attending the Christian Academy
[00:24:18] Will come with their parents
[00:24:20] And we told everybody to RSVP
[00:24:22] So we can make sure we had enough food
[00:24:24] Well, we had about 75 people RSVP
[00:24:28] And we had about 125 people show up
[00:24:32] And so we're serving through the lines
[00:24:35] And they come over to me and say
[00:24:38] Mr. Karolok, we are about to run out of chicken
[00:24:41] And I said, yeah
[00:24:42] And he said, yeah
[00:24:43] And I said, well, what are you gonna do?
[00:24:45] And I said, well, we'll know shortly
[00:24:48] And all of a sudden the door swings open
[00:24:50] And the gentleman walks in and he says
[00:24:52] Hey, I was just coming by
[00:24:54] And I just wanted to know
[00:24:55] I wanted to make sure that you guys had enough stuff
[00:24:58] Did you need some chicken?
[00:25:00] And we were like, okay, yes, yes
[00:25:03] And then another young lady comes up
[00:25:05] And she said, Mr. Karolok, we're running out of green beans
[00:25:08] And then the door swings open
[00:25:09] And here comes one of the mothers
[00:25:11] And she said, baby
[00:25:12] I want you to watch all some extra green beans
[00:25:14] And me and the principal stood there speechless
[00:25:20] If it was bread, somebody came in with bread
[00:25:23] I'm saying in the exact same order
[00:25:25] I'm not saying we were running out of beans
[00:25:27] We got bread
[00:25:28] We ran out of beans
[00:25:29] Somebody came in with beans
[00:25:31] We ran out of chicken
[00:25:32] Someone came in with chicken
[00:25:34] So, you know, I'm like
[00:25:37] He will provide when you are doing your part
[00:25:41] Yes, sir
[00:25:44] You know, a willing servant
[00:25:47] And so that is what I wanted to make sure
[00:25:52] Is that we understand that, you know
[00:25:55] You don't have to do this on your own
[00:25:57] Yes, we're putting in a time of learning
[00:26:01] And how to improve our spiritual and mental and physical thing
[00:26:06] But guess what?
[00:26:07] Sometimes the Christian world gets to be a little hard
[00:26:10] But Ephesians 3 and 20
[00:26:13] Reading from the NIV tells us that
[00:26:15] God is able to do immeasurably more
[00:26:18] Than all we ask or imagine
[00:26:21] According to the power that work is in who?
[00:26:24] In us
[00:26:26] In us
[00:26:27] So that means we have a part, doesn't it?
[00:26:29] That's right
[00:26:30] And I want to say this too
[00:26:34] When you said something earlier
[00:26:36] In our discussion in fellowship
[00:26:39] And you just brought up again about knowing your part
[00:26:42] We have a part, we have a play
[00:26:44] I wanted to just kind of bring light to the leadership part of that
[00:26:48] Yes
[00:26:49] As leaders, here's the issue
[00:26:52] They need to know what they've been purpose to do
[00:26:57] Versus what they desire to do
[00:26:59] Yes
[00:27:01] You can desire to do something but are you purpose for it?
[00:27:05] And what I've seen over the years is that
[00:27:09] Mostly, or some, let me just say some leaders
[00:27:12] Had been more concerned about feeling the position
[00:27:15] And not the purpose
[00:27:17] Wow
[00:27:18] So they were more concerned about putting
[00:27:21] Having numbers and bodies in the seats
[00:27:25] But not quality
[00:27:27] Not quality in the individuals in the positions
[00:27:32] And so we lack, they're lacking something
[00:27:35] Then the things that they're lacking
[00:27:37] You might be gifted to do it
[00:27:40] But you don't have compassion for the souls
[00:27:43] You might be gifted to do it
[00:27:45] But you have no patience
[00:27:47] Wow
[00:27:48] You know, you have a gift and a talent to do it
[00:27:51] And so a lot of times we put people in positions
[00:27:54] Because we want the positions filled
[00:27:56] But are they purpose for it?
[00:27:58] I would rather wait for the one that is purpose to do it
[00:28:01] Because at the end result
[00:28:04] The ministry will survive
[00:28:06] The persons in the position will grow and thrive
[00:28:10] And then also those who have been assigned to that individual
[00:28:14] On their route
[00:28:15] Assigned to that ministry or that vessel
[00:28:18] Will gain strength and not lose strength in the process
[00:28:22] And so a lot of times as leaders
[00:28:25] You know, we shouldn't be so concerned about
[00:28:29] Just having the numbers
[00:28:31] Or putting someone there in the position
[00:28:33] Filling the spot, you know, filling the spot
[00:28:35] Well I have this many leaders
[00:28:37] And I had, oh I got this
[00:28:39] But how many people are doing the work?
[00:28:42] It was a true state
[00:28:44] I'm not gonna say the church
[00:28:46] But when I was a young minister
[00:28:48] Just licensed in ministry
[00:28:50] And we had, we were in a church
[00:28:52] Over 5,000 or more members
[00:28:54] Okay
[00:28:55] On a Bible study night
[00:28:57] At least maybe 1200 people in Bible study
[00:28:59] Oh my goodness
[00:29:01] So, but we had a ministerial staff
[00:29:03] Of over 120 preachers
[00:29:06] But every time we had a function
[00:29:09] Every time we were feeding the homeless in the city
[00:29:12] Every time we had the food bank
[00:29:14] It was the same 20 maybe 25 preachers
[00:29:17] Doing the work
[00:29:19] But everybody showed up dressed up on Sunday
[00:29:21] Okay
[00:29:22] Wow
[00:29:23] Everybody showed up to sit in those
[00:29:26] High seats and everybody showed up
[00:29:28] With their collars and their robes on
[00:29:30] But there was only
[00:29:32] 20 to 25 of us
[00:29:34] That was always consistent with boots on the ground
[00:29:38] And sometimes I wonder
[00:29:41] Is it the difference between
[00:29:43] Understanding
[00:29:45] Station or
[00:29:47] Or position
[00:29:49] And understanding purpose
[00:29:52] Because if you understand purpose
[00:29:54] If you understand why
[00:29:56] You're doing what you're doing
[00:29:58] Then it's hard to keep you from coming to help
[00:30:03] It's the same reason like
[00:30:05] I remember when
[00:30:07] I lived in Atlanta
[00:30:09] In the church where I attended
[00:30:11] Our pastor says on our feeding ministry
[00:30:13] That you never serve anybody food
[00:30:15] That you won't eat yourself
[00:30:17] You better know it
[00:30:18] So when we went out
[00:30:20] We went out with warmers
[00:30:22] We had cold food
[00:30:24] Never
[00:30:25] No sandwiches, no chips
[00:30:27] Every meal was
[00:30:29] Turkey
[00:30:30] Stuffing
[00:30:31] Gravy
[00:30:32] Green beans
[00:30:34] Cranberry sauce
[00:30:35] Pies, cakes
[00:30:37] So when our four or five vans came around the corner
[00:30:40] The people were running out the hill
[00:30:43] To get to eat
[00:30:45] And it was so amazing
[00:30:47] Because there were times where
[00:30:49] I had one time a gentleman pull up in the escalade
[00:30:51] And he said, excuse me
[00:30:53] Am I able to get something to eat?
[00:30:55] I said, sir, it's a feeding ministry
[00:30:57] Of course you can
[00:30:59] And I watched him sit down
[00:31:01] Next to a homeless gentleman on the curb
[00:31:03] And they were eating
[00:31:05] And they were having conversation
[00:31:07] Talking about football
[00:31:09] And I said, this is what God is talking about
[00:31:12] This is why we're here
[00:31:14] And it was that feeling
[00:31:16] That as I said
[00:31:18] Once you understand
[00:31:20] The purpose of it
[00:31:22] How do you not?
[00:31:24] But like you are talking about
[00:31:26] I've seen it, the long robes
[00:31:28] Or the
[00:31:30] Pastor has an entourage
[00:31:32] And if you get too close
[00:31:34] You might get tackled
[00:31:36] You might get knocked out
[00:31:38] And I said
[00:31:40] I don't think that's what he had in mind
[00:31:42] Yeah
[00:31:44] How can we
[00:31:46] I said this to one leader
[00:31:48] I don't even talk to my people
[00:31:50] I said, well the thing is
[00:31:52] If he sent you to the sheep
[00:31:54] Why don't you talk to the sheep
[00:31:56] You need to be accessible
[00:31:58] They need to have access to you
[00:32:00] I said
[00:32:02] You can't be a pastor
[00:32:04] And not want your people to reach here
[00:32:06] That's right
[00:32:08] My sheep know my voice, right?
[00:32:10] Yes, and it's strange that they wouldn't follow
[00:32:12] And I said, only way that they can know
[00:32:14] Your voice is to get to know you
[00:32:16] And to know your heart
[00:32:18] They will never know your expectation
[00:32:20] As a leader until they get to know
[00:32:22] What's in your heart
[00:32:24] And whatever God placed in your heart
[00:32:26] Is the vision of that ministry
[00:32:28] If he put you over that ministry
[00:32:30] Or gave it to you if you were birthed out
[00:32:32] Whatever's in your heart, so they have to get to know you
[00:32:34] And if you're untouchable
[00:32:36] Then maybe you might need to be a traveling evangelist
[00:32:38] In other words
[00:32:40] You got a gift but you might be out of position
[00:32:42] You might not be in your purpose
[00:32:44] That is such
[00:32:46] That is such
[00:32:48] A strong point
[00:32:50] You might be gifted
[00:32:52] But you're in the wrong position
[00:32:54] I love that you said that
[00:32:56] Because I was using an analogy
[00:32:58] Talking to one of my mentees
[00:33:00] I said, you know, you can use a
[00:33:02] Screwdriver to
[00:33:04] Drive a nail in
[00:33:06] Doesn't mean it's the best way
[00:33:08] Okay, that it
[00:33:10] It wasn't purpose to drive nails
[00:33:12] But it can be
[00:33:14] It'll take you longer
[00:33:16] You'll work harder
[00:33:18] But when we accept
[00:33:20] What our part is
[00:33:22] When we accept what God has told us
[00:33:24] Our purpose is
[00:33:26] Then
[00:33:28] We have to be humble enough
[00:33:30] Even if you have the gifting
[00:33:32] To sing
[00:33:34] And you know what it reminds me of
[00:33:36] I just came back from
[00:33:38] A committee meeting
[00:33:40] I'm the chair of the committee
[00:33:42] And I have a vice chair
[00:33:44] And so when we were
[00:33:46] Convening as the clock hit
[00:33:48] Time to start, she started
[00:33:50] I'm sitting right there
[00:33:52] She started talking and calling the order
[00:33:54] And having the secretary do
[00:33:56] Roll call and all those things
[00:33:58] And I smile
[00:34:00] Because I could see the people
[00:34:02] Who are sitting out in the gallery
[00:34:04] Looking at me like, but aren't you the chair?
[00:34:06] And I'm sitting there
[00:34:08] Thinking to myself that
[00:34:10] It doesn't matter, right?
[00:34:12] The purpose is what we're doing
[00:34:14] It's not about me having the title
[00:34:16] It's not about me
[00:34:18] There are people who would have gotten up
[00:34:20] And walked over there and took that gavel out of her hand
[00:34:22] And said I am the chair
[00:34:24] And I thought
[00:34:26] I thought it was wonderful
[00:34:28] That she was so eager
[00:34:30] To get the thing started
[00:34:32] That she got it started
[00:34:34] And so
[00:34:36] I get offended because
[00:34:38] My title is supposed to be this
[00:34:40] And her title is supposed to be that
[00:34:42] At the end of the day
[00:34:44] God's saying you know what I expect of you
[00:34:46] And we need to get that done
[00:34:48] And I think our world shows us
[00:34:50] Every single day
[00:34:52] How we're falling down
[00:34:54] How the
[00:34:56] People in the body
[00:34:58] Are not doing
[00:35:00] What we are supposed to do
[00:35:02] And I know it's a little
[00:35:04] Segue from what we were talking about
[00:35:06] But we've gotten to a point
[00:35:08] In our society where we can't even tell people
[00:35:10] That's wrong
[00:35:12] Oh
[00:35:14] They're so afraid to be labeled as
[00:35:16] Insensitive or
[00:35:18] Bigoted or Prejudiced
[00:35:20] And I'm just like I'm none of those
[00:35:22] You're wrong, okay?
[00:35:24] And I can show you in the Word of God
[00:35:26] Why it's wrong
[00:35:28] But we have become so
[00:35:30] Conditioned
[00:35:32] And I offend
[00:35:34] That we are allowing
[00:35:36] The acceleration
[00:35:38] And even though
[00:35:40] We know that Satan is a defeated foe
[00:35:42] He's allowed
[00:35:44] The ability to
[00:35:46] Have the noise of the world
[00:35:48] Get so loud people can't hear from God
[00:35:50] You know they're saying oh God doesn't speak
[00:35:52] Me or he doesn't speak to you
[00:35:54] Or you won't turn the TV down
[00:35:56] Enough you won't turn that
[00:35:58] Hip hop music off enough
[00:36:00] All these things that are drowning
[00:36:02] He said his voice was still and small
[00:36:04] And if you can't sit still
[00:36:08] Long enough to hear it
[00:36:10] How will you?
[00:36:15] And so we have to understand
[00:36:17] That part of our purpose
[00:36:19] Is all about
[00:36:21] Bringing God glory
[00:36:23] And do we truly understand
[00:36:25] What our part is
[00:36:27] In that
[00:36:31] That is so awesome that you said that
[00:36:33] The expectation even when you talked
[00:36:35] About you being the chair and she's the vice chair
[00:36:37] The expectation is that you work as one
[00:36:39] That's right
[00:36:41] You're not at front
[00:36:43] And if she was already doing the job
[00:36:45] You sat back and smiled because it was getting done
[00:36:47] Someone who does not understand that
[00:36:49] When you're position hungry
[00:36:51] When you're power hungry
[00:36:53] And not saying that they were
[00:36:55] At the time
[00:36:57] But when you are in those situations
[00:36:59] You have
[00:37:01] You have something where
[00:37:03] Oh excuse me
[00:37:05] When you
[00:37:07] Have that situation
[00:37:11] They're looking for something else to come
[00:37:13] They're looking for something else to happen
[00:37:15] But you're looking
[00:37:17] For the job to be done
[00:37:19] The outcome is
[00:37:21] Did it get done
[00:37:23] She knows
[00:37:25] You know who you are
[00:37:27] You know
[00:37:29] And if we're to walk in unity
[00:37:31] That
[00:37:33] The thing for me as a shepherd or leader
[00:37:35] Yes
[00:37:37] I know how to prophesy
[00:37:39] I can interpret dreams
[00:37:41] Certain gifts God gave me
[00:37:43] You know I don't brag about them
[00:37:45] With humility I thank God for them
[00:37:47] Because it's like God you could have used anyone else
[00:37:49] You could have chose anyone else
[00:37:51] I thank you for what you're doing in my life
[00:37:53] But here's the thing
[00:37:55] If I have prophets, pastors, or teachers
[00:37:57] Or evangelists in our ministry
[00:37:59] Why am I going to hog the pulpit
[00:38:01] When they are capable
[00:38:03] Of doing the job
[00:38:05] And fulfilling their purpose
[00:38:07] My job is to push them
[00:38:09] To purpose and destiny
[00:38:11] And push them to be the greatest
[00:38:13] I don't have to do it
[00:38:15] I don't have to be seen
[00:38:17] There's no limelight
[00:38:19] If I always tell them as a leader
[00:38:21] The only difference between you
[00:38:23] Is I bear greater responsibility
[00:38:25] I bear greater responsibility
[00:38:27] And if I may I want to say something else
[00:38:29] I'm doing a morning motivation now
[00:38:31] Monday through Friday
[00:38:33] And the motivation today
[00:38:35] Was just amazing
[00:38:37] One of the things I said
[00:38:39] To those who were listening was
[00:38:41] Never let the crowd diminish
[00:38:43] Who you are
[00:38:45] Say that
[00:38:47] Never let the crowd
[00:38:49] Diminish who you are
[00:38:51] Never look and say oh someone else has it
[00:38:53] Oh they have too many this
[00:38:55] They have too many leaders or
[00:38:57] Oh well I don't need to do it because so and so is there
[00:38:59] You look at the crowd and now you feel that
[00:39:01] Your gift or your ministry has been diminished
[00:39:03] Or that you have no value
[00:39:05] And you have no worth
[00:39:07] So when you ask me to talk to talk with you
[00:39:09] About knowing your part
[00:39:11] I said that to them this morning
[00:39:13] Listen you need to know that whatever
[00:39:15] Whatever part that you play
[00:39:17] It is significant and it is needed
[00:39:19] Your voice is needed
[00:39:21] I don't care if you're the usher
[00:39:23] The janitor your part
[00:39:25] I gave an example how I used to work
[00:39:27] In a factory but my mother
[00:39:29] Used to work in a factory job
[00:39:31] In an assembly line and she got me a job
[00:39:33] As a team working with them
[00:39:35] And so one of my stations was very simple
[00:39:37] It was a cosmetic factory
[00:39:39] But the station I was on
[00:39:41] Was a conditioner
[00:39:43] And someone else had shampoo
[00:39:45] Someone else had the box that had
[00:39:47] The chemicals or whatever it was
[00:39:49] And so here's the thing at the end of the line
[00:39:51] You had the quality person that would check
[00:39:53] The box
[00:39:55] What happens when one person
[00:39:57] Feels that their job is insignificant
[00:39:59] What happens when one person
[00:40:01] Feels that their job is not worthy
[00:40:03] Or worth it and they walk away
[00:40:05] That means that that product
[00:40:07] At the end is missing something
[00:40:09] And it's missing something that's vital
[00:40:11] That's needed if that activator
[00:40:13] Or that conditioner or that shampoo
[00:40:15] Was not placed in the box
[00:40:17] The person who used the perm or the product
[00:40:19] Could damage their hair destroyed
[00:40:21] You know it could be devastating
[00:40:23] Why because now I don't have the rest
[00:40:25] Of the stuff in it to make this whole product work
[00:40:27] Wow
[00:40:29] Your is vital
[00:40:31] To the kingdom
[00:40:33] No matter how small
[00:40:35] No matter how great
[00:40:37] No matter how if someone doesn't
[00:40:39] Think it's insignificant
[00:40:41] No, it's vital and it's valuable
[00:40:43] To the body
[00:40:45] And so I told them never look at the crowd
[00:40:47] To think that you're too small
[00:40:49] You don't have value or worth
[00:40:51] Never judge your place or position
[00:40:53] By the numbers in the crowd
[00:40:55] Because we still need your boys
[00:40:57] And the word tells us
[00:40:59] That we're called according to his purpose
[00:41:01] So we have no idea
[00:41:03] In the grand scheme
[00:41:05] You know we understand
[00:41:07] What the general purpose is
[00:41:09] From the two great commandments
[00:41:11] But the specific purpose
[00:41:13] You might be the person
[00:41:15] That opens the door that says good morning
[00:41:17] That changed the attitude of the woman
[00:41:19] Who goes on and finds a cure for cancer
[00:41:21] And that's why he called you here
[00:41:23] Just that moment
[00:41:25] Just that moment
[00:41:27] And so we're to treat every moment
[00:41:29] As if they're that important
[00:41:31] And if we understand that
[00:41:33] Then doing our part
[00:41:35] Is everything that we're capable of
[00:41:37] Doing and then from
[00:41:39] A leadership part, you know I have people
[00:41:41] I talked to quite a bit
[00:41:43] And they say well
[00:41:45] How do I know
[00:41:47] What my purpose is
[00:41:49] And I said well there's a singular purpose
[00:41:51] Which is to bring God glory
[00:41:53] But in terms of
[00:41:55] What you do on earth
[00:41:57] Okay
[00:41:59] It has a
[00:42:01] It's usually the thing that
[00:42:03] Bothers you
[00:42:05] That you cannot abide
[00:42:07] Right so how many of the
[00:42:09] The Israelites are
[00:42:11] We're standing there listening to
[00:42:13] Goliath
[00:42:15] Talk about
[00:42:17] Their God and it didn't bother them
[00:42:19] But when David came by
[00:42:21] He was like so y'all don't hear that huh
[00:42:23] Right
[00:42:25] You don't hear that noise
[00:42:27] That's right
[00:42:29] It so bothered him
[00:42:31] That he did something about it
[00:42:33] And so a lot of our
[00:42:35] Purposes are those things
[00:42:37] You know
[00:42:39] I did a podcast interview
[00:42:41] A few days ago
[00:42:43] And they said so
[00:42:45] What is your thing
[00:42:47] What motivates you
[00:42:49] And I said to him
[00:42:51] Before I leave this earth
[00:42:53] Before God calls me home
[00:42:55] I want to create a thousand
[00:42:57] Millionaires
[00:42:59] And potentially
[00:43:01] And specifically
[00:43:03] Millionaires of color
[00:43:05] And here's why
[00:43:07] It's not that I don't discriminate against anyone
[00:43:09] My mentees go across all
[00:43:11] Age spectrums and ethnicities
[00:43:13] But traditionally
[00:43:15] The level of
[00:43:17] Knowledge to attain
[00:43:19] Generational change
[00:43:21] Is usually not presented
[00:43:23] To them
[00:43:25] They're just not presented
[00:43:27] It's not that they're not capable
[00:43:29] You don't know what you don't know
[00:43:31] And so my goal
[00:43:33] Is to share it
[00:43:35] Now I will say this
[00:43:37] 99% of them
[00:43:39] Are believers
[00:43:41] Because it's through the power
[00:43:43] Of the Holy Spirit
[00:43:45] It's through the power that is placed within them
[00:43:47] Every man is given a measure of faith
[00:43:49] Okay
[00:43:51] And so as I can find them
[00:43:53] And exemplify
[00:43:55] Godly principles in front of them
[00:43:57] As we learn these business principles
[00:43:59] They say
[00:44:01] You know, wow
[00:44:03] I didn't realize that there was a correlation
[00:44:05] I was teaching a
[00:44:07] Entrepreneur class
[00:44:09] Which is a nine week entrepreneur class
[00:44:11] And as it turns out, everyone in the room
[00:44:13] Was a believer
[00:44:15] And I said to him
[00:44:17] Will you indulge me
[00:44:19] And they said what do you mean
[00:44:21] I said well the normal way that this class works
[00:44:23] Is that there's nine weeks
[00:44:25] And it's usually
[00:44:27] I usually have six or seven different teachers
[00:44:29] So in other words if you're learning about
[00:44:31] Financial statements
[00:44:33] If we're talking about business structure
[00:44:35] It's going to be a lawyer, right
[00:44:37] But since you all are believers
[00:44:39] What I want to do is teach you myself
[00:44:41] No one else
[00:44:43] For the next nine weeks
[00:44:45] And every principle
[00:44:47] I'm going to give you a scripture that does it
[00:44:49] Can I tell you Dr Brooks
[00:44:51] How floored they were
[00:44:53] That how deep
[00:44:55] The Bible is about business
[00:44:57] About economics
[00:44:59] I'm just showing them a scripture, see
[00:45:01] And they're just hanging open
[00:45:03] Because they didn't realize
[00:45:05] That we had responsibility in the marketplace
[00:45:09] But if the Bible varies it out
[00:45:11] Good sir
[00:45:13] I was just talking about the bible tells us to be good stewards
[00:45:17] Of what God has given
[00:45:19] The principles
[00:45:21] Of giving and receiving
[00:45:23] And sewing and reaping
[00:45:25] All of that deals with business
[00:45:27] One of the greatest stories
[00:45:29] We just had Mother's Day that came through
[00:45:31] But you know everyone preached on
[00:45:33] The virtuous woman
[00:45:35] Just about
[00:45:37] Proverbs 31 woman
[00:45:39] But it talks about her
[00:45:43] Buying a field
[00:45:45] Purchasing
[00:45:47] Making garments
[00:45:49] And making
[00:45:51] Selling it
[00:45:53] And providing rising up early
[00:45:55] That's marketplace, she went to the marketplace
[00:45:57] That's right
[00:45:59] She was an entrepreneur
[00:46:01] She was a real estate investor
[00:46:03] The bible breaks it down
[00:46:05] On every step that she did
[00:46:07] And then she was also a mother
[00:46:09] A wife
[00:46:11] That provided and looked well to her household
[00:46:15] And the bible says that her husband was known
[00:46:17] In the streets
[00:46:19] Because of what she did, her character
[00:46:21] In the marketplace
[00:46:23] That's right
[00:46:25] When the widow said
[00:46:27] Me and my son are going to make a cake
[00:46:29] And die, what are you telling them to do?
[00:46:33] Go get vessels
[00:46:35] From all your neighbors
[00:46:37] As many as you can find
[00:46:39] Fill them
[00:46:41] Did he say give it away?
[00:46:43] No
[00:46:45] What did he say?
[00:46:47] He said fill them up
[00:46:49] Sell them
[00:46:51] And they raised enough for the remainder
[00:46:53] Of their lives
[00:46:55] You see
[00:46:57] And that was the beauty of it
[00:46:59] Right, and this is what I was sharing with them
[00:47:01] As we go through these principles
[00:47:03] To help them start growing
[00:47:05] And sustain a business
[00:47:07] All scriptural
[00:47:09] One after the other
[00:47:11] And they were just sitting there
[00:47:13] Absolutely amazed
[00:47:15] And so that was why I thought it was important
[00:47:17] For us to have this conversation
[00:47:19] And I'm going to end it
[00:47:21] And it's time for you to wind down
[00:47:23] But I just can't thank you enough
[00:47:27] For spending this time
[00:47:29] And sharing these wonderful, wonderful thoughts
[00:47:33] And stories with us
[00:47:35] For us to understand
[00:47:37] That we do have a part in this
[00:47:39] God will provide
[00:47:41] All of our needs
[00:47:43] There is no mistaking that
[00:47:45] But if we want to see the true
[00:47:47] Manifestation
[00:47:49] It's when
[00:47:51] We are working in partnership
[00:47:53] You know
[00:47:55] When we have him working
[00:47:57] In partnership with us
[00:47:59] In fact, Micah
[00:48:01] 6 and 8
[00:48:03] He has told you old man
[00:48:05] What is good
[00:48:07] And what does the Lord
[00:48:09] Requires of you
[00:48:11] But to do justice
[00:48:13] To do justice
[00:48:15] And to love kindness
[00:48:17] And to be with your God
[00:48:19] God is faithful
[00:48:21] And will do his part
[00:48:23] But are you willing to do yours
[00:48:25] And with that I'll give you the final thought
[00:48:27] And ask you to give us a closing prayer, sir
[00:48:34] I am thinking on the lines of
[00:48:36] Again, knowing your purpose
[00:48:40] Knowing your part
[00:48:42] Never think that you're too small
[00:48:44] And even your vision
[00:48:46] You don't think that your vision is too small
[00:48:48] Because you have to start somewhere
[00:48:50] You have to start somewhere
[00:48:54] Begin
[00:48:56] A new to start a new
[00:48:58] Trust the vision that God gave
[00:49:00] Trust the purpose
[00:49:02] Know who you are
[00:49:04] And don't allow anyone to steal that dream
[00:49:06] That vision, that goal, that purpose
[00:49:08] And knowing that whatever you have
[00:49:10] Is not insignificant but it's valuable
[00:49:12] To the kingdom of God
[00:49:14] And again
[00:49:16] I told you to the marketplace
[00:49:18] Don't let the old foundation in the old
[00:49:20] God tell you that God didn't say go
[00:49:22] Because that's exactly where
[00:49:24] Your influence will be
[00:49:26] They need your voice
[00:49:28] They need what you have
[00:49:30] And besides, what you have
[00:49:32] Will bless someone else's life
[00:49:34] Remember
[00:49:36] We're trying to impact lives for generations
[00:49:38] To come
[00:49:40] And until you walk in your purpose
[00:49:42] Just remember this
[00:49:44] Who's waiting on you
[00:49:46] To know who you are
[00:49:48] Glory to God
[00:49:50] That's in Romans 8th chapter
[00:49:52] Sir, you love Romans, I love it too
[00:49:54] Creation eagerly await the revealing
[00:49:56] Of the sons of God
[00:50:00] There's some waiting on your victory
[00:50:02] Waiting on your deliverance
[00:50:04] Waiting on you to walk in your purpose
[00:50:06] And fulfill your God-given
[00:50:08] Given talent
[00:50:10] And if that's in the marketplace
[00:50:12] Or if it's in the bank
[00:50:14] If you're in a callate
[00:50:16] Or whatever that judge
[00:50:18] Someone is waiting on you
[00:50:20] To be who God called
[00:50:22] And purpose you to do
[00:50:24] Because their life depends on it
[00:50:26] Their victory depends on you
[00:50:28] Walking in your purpose
[00:50:30] Father, we thank you
[00:50:32] We thank you for this opportunity
[00:50:34] To speak and encourage your people
[00:50:36] I pray now that you
[00:50:38] Bless Dr. Elgin
[00:50:40] And continue to touch his life
[00:50:42] And those who are listening
[00:50:44] Through this broadcast
[00:50:46] I pray now that as we find our purpose
[00:50:48] And find our place
[00:50:50] That we don't think that we're too small
[00:50:52] Or insignificant
[00:50:54] That we will walk in all that you've called
[00:50:56] Created and ordained us to walk into
[00:50:58] I pray now for those that you've
[00:51:00] Given vision and dreams and goals
[00:51:02] To become for their businesses
[00:51:04] And for their lives
[00:51:06] That they would continue to pursue
[00:51:08] That vision and not be
[00:51:10] Influenced by the numbers
[00:51:12] Or discouraged by those who are before them
[00:51:14] Or for those who've made it
[00:51:16] No, because you're the next one
[00:51:18] You might be the next one
[00:51:20] That next millionaire
[00:51:22] That next inventor
[00:51:24] That next doctor
[00:51:26] That will find a cure
[00:51:28] That no one else has found
[00:51:30] Father, we pray that you encourage your people
[00:51:32] Strengthen them now
[00:51:34] To pursue those goals and vision
[00:51:36] That who they are so they can know their part
[00:51:38] And walk therein
[00:51:40] I pray now for your grace and your mercy
[00:51:42] To continue to push us
[00:51:44] To fulfill purpose
[00:51:46] And destiny that you will be pleased
[00:51:48] With our lives
[00:51:50] In Jesus' most holy and righteous way
[00:51:52] Amen
[00:51:54] And brothers and sisters, so I thank you once again
[00:51:56] For spending this time with us
[00:51:58] And I look forward to our discussion
[00:52:00] On tomorrow
[00:52:02] And until then
[00:52:04] God bless
[00:52:35] Amen
