[00:01:02] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit to another episode of The Bible Speaks.
[00:01:14] And today we are continuing in our series The Christian Entrepreneur. And today we're talking about something that is foundational in building a God-honoring business. Using your spiritual gifts in business.
[00:01:28] Our inspiration comes from Romans chapter 12 verses 6 through 8. And reading from the New International Version it reads,
[00:01:41] We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith.
[00:01:50] If it is serving, then serve.
[00:01:53] If it is teaching, then teach.
[00:01:56] If it is to encourage, then give encouragement.
[00:02:00] If it is giving, then give generously.
[00:02:03] If it is to lead, do it diligently.
[00:02:07] If it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
[00:02:11] God has equipped each of us with unique spiritual gifts, talents, and abilities.
[00:02:17] These gifts aren't limited to church settings.
[00:02:20] They're also meant to be used in the marketplace to serve others.
[00:02:25] Building businesses with integrity and reflecting God's glory.
[00:02:29] These gifts aren't limited to church settings.
[00:02:33] They're also meant to be used in the marketplace to serve others,
[00:02:37] build businesses with integrity, and reflect God's glory.
[00:02:41] So today we'll discuss how to identify and use your spiritual gifts in business
[00:02:47] and how Genesis 1 verses 1 through 31 offers a blueprint for methodically assembling your company with love and care.
[00:02:57] Each of us has been given spiritual gifts that are unique to our calling.
[00:03:02] These gifts are tools that God has provided to fulfill his purpose for our lives.
[00:03:08] Romans 12 6 through 8 lists a variety of gifts.
[00:03:13] Leadership, service, teaching, encouragement, giving, and mercy.
[00:03:20] Think about how these might translate into the business world.
[00:03:25] For example, leadership is about guiding your team with integrity and vision.
[00:03:31] Creativity is innovating products and services that meet real needs.
[00:03:37] Administration is organizing resources and processes efficiently.
[00:03:43] Hospitality is creating welcoming environments for employees and customers.
[00:03:49] As Christian entrepreneurs, these gifts are not just for personal success.
[00:03:54] They're for serving others and building businesses that honor God.
[00:03:59] To understand how to use your gifts effectively, let's look at Genesis 1 verses 1 through 31
[00:04:06] where God's creation process demonstrates intentionality, structure, and excellence.
[00:04:14] Just as God created the world methodically, we're called to build our businesses with the same love and care.
[00:04:21] Here's how God's creation can inspire us.
[00:04:25] Day 1. Light
[00:04:27] God began by creating light, bringing clarity and vision.
[00:04:32] For entrepreneurs, this is the stage where you define your mission and purpose.
[00:04:39] What is your business's why?
[00:04:41] How does it serve others and glorify God?
[00:04:45] Day 2. Sky and waters
[00:04:47] God created order and boundaries.
[00:04:51] In business, this step is about setting up structures, roles, systems, and processes that support your goals.
[00:05:00] Day 3. Land and vegetation
[00:05:03] God provided resources for growth.
[00:05:06] Are you investing in the right tools, training, and team members to ensure your business can flourish?
[00:05:14] Days 4 through 6
[00:05:16] Filling the Earth with Life
[00:05:18] Each creation was intentional and purposeful.
[00:05:23] Day 4 through 7. God rested, reflecting on His work.
[00:05:41] Day 3 through 7. God rested, reflecting on His work.
[00:05:51] Day 4 through 8. God rested, reflecting on His work.
[00:05:58] First, the goal is to serve others.
[00:06:02] 1 Peter 4 and 10 says,
[00:06:05] 1 Peter 4 and 10 says,
[00:06:18] creating products or services that solve real problems,
[00:06:22] providing employment opportunities that empower and uplift,
[00:06:27] or offering exceptional customer service that reflects God's love.
[00:06:32] When you use your gifts to serve,
[00:06:34] you're not just building a business,
[00:06:36] you're building the kingdom of God.
[00:06:39] If you're wondering how to identify
[00:06:42] and use your spiritual gifts in business,
[00:06:44] here are some steps.
[00:06:47] Number one, identify your gift.
[00:06:50] Reflect on what you do naturally and what brings you joy.
[00:06:55] Are you a natural leader?
[00:06:57] Do you excel at organizing?
[00:06:59] Are you gifted in creativity or encouragement?
[00:07:03] Number two, align your business with your gifts.
[00:07:08] Build your business around your strengths.
[00:07:11] For example, if you're gifted in hospitality,
[00:07:14] consider how you can create welcoming experiences for your customers.
[00:07:20] Number three, seek feedback.
[00:07:23] Ask others to affirm the gifts they see in you.
[00:07:26] Sometimes others recognize our strength before we do.
[00:07:31] Number four, dedicate your gifts to God.
[00:07:35] Pray over your business and ask God to show you
[00:07:39] how to use your gifts for his glory.
[00:07:43] Number five, develop your gifts.
[00:07:46] Just as God worked methodically in creation,
[00:07:49] take time to refine your skills and grow in your ability.
[00:07:54] When we use our spiritual gifts in business,
[00:07:57] we reflect God's character to the world.
[00:08:00] By leading with integrity,
[00:08:02] serving with excellence,
[00:08:03] and building with love and care,
[00:08:06] we demonstrate the heart of our creator.
[00:08:09] Colossians 3 verses 23 to 24 reminds us,
[00:08:14] whatever you do,
[00:08:16] work at it with all your heart
[00:08:18] as working for the Lord,
[00:08:21] not for human masters.
[00:08:22] Your business is a platform for ministry.
[00:08:26] Every decision, interaction,
[00:08:28] and product can point people to God's love and goodness.
[00:08:34] Brothers and sisters,
[00:08:35] let's remember that God has equipped each of us
[00:08:38] with unique gifts,
[00:08:39] not just for personal gain,
[00:08:42] but for the kingdom impact.
[00:08:44] When we use these gifts with intentionality,
[00:08:47] love, and care,
[00:08:49] we honor God and bless others.
[00:08:53] If today's message inspired you,
[00:08:56] share it with someone who needs encouragement
[00:08:58] in their business journey.
[00:09:00] And remember,
[00:09:01] your gifts are tools that God has given you
[00:09:04] to serve others
[00:09:05] and build something meaningful for his glory.
[00:09:09] I thank you for spending time with me on today,
[00:09:13] and I look forward to our time together on tomorrow.
[00:09:16] Until then, God bless.
