A Kingdom entrepreneur must understand that excellence is spiritual too. Character matters. Integrity matters. Skill matters. Because many times, what God wants to send to someone else is going to be delivered by you.
[00:00:37] Welcome to The Bible Speaks with your host Elgin Carelock. The Bible Speaks is a daily podcast dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, rightly dividing the word of truth, and learning how to apply it to our daily lives. [00:01:02] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach to another edition of The Bible Speaks, where we're studying God's word together. Our discussion today is titled, The Kingdom Entrepreneur 2.0.
[00:01:25] Our scriptural inspiration comes from Ecclesiastes, chapter 10, verse 10, and reading from the New International Version, it reads,
[00:01:37] This is not just good business advice, this is kingdom wisdom. As believers, we're called to please God and serve people. And that means we can't afford to be careless with the gifts, talents, and assignments and
[00:02:07] God has placed in our hands. A kingdom entrepreneur must understand that excellence is spiritual too. Character matters. Integrity matters. Skills matter. Because many times what God wants to send to someone else is going to be delivered by you. Let us pray.
[00:02:34] Heavenly Father, thank you for every gift, idea, talent, and opportunity you have placed in our lives. Open our hearts today to see our work the way you see it. Teach us to sharpen what you have given us, to serve people with excellence, and to walk in integrity and wisdom. Let your word guide us and the Holy Spirit make our path clear.
[00:03:01] In Jesus Christ's name we pray. Amen. This builds on what we talked about in Kingdom Entrepreneurs. Faith and business are not enemies. They were never meant to be separated. The marketplace is one of the places where the nature of God can be seen most clearly through service, stewardship, honesty, and love. But the Kingdom Entrepreneur 2.0
[00:03:31] takes us a step further. It's not enough to simply say, I love God, so my business will work out. We also have a responsibility to sharpen the axe. We have to develop the skills, discipline, and maturity necessary to carry the level of opportunity God wants to entrust to us. There is someone praying right now for an answer, and God may have chosen you
[00:03:59] to be part of that answer. But if your gifts are dull, your character is weak, or your service is careless, you may mishandle the very blessing He intended you to deliver. This is why we have to be careful not to get this backwards. Sometimes we think, God sent me this client because I was praying for money. But what if the deeper truth is that God sent you to that client
[00:04:28] because they were praying for help? That changes everything. Now the work is no longer just about income. It becomes ministry. It becomes stewardship. It becomes a sacred responsibility. Proverbs 22 and 29 reads, Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings. Skill opens doors.
[00:04:57] Excellence creates trust. Integrity sustains opportunity. And when all of this is submitted to God, your business becomes a place where people do not just receive a service. They experience care, consistency, and the character of Christ. That is why your blessings grow as your expertise grows. The sharper the axe, the greater the impact.
[00:05:26] The greater the impact, the more God can flow through your life to bless others. This is not about striving for status. It's about becoming a vessel strong enough, wise enough, and mature enough to carry greater responsibility. But let's be clear. Sharpening your gifts is not just about technique. It's also about staying in the word and listening to the Holy Spirit.
[00:05:55] Because the word tells you who you are, and the Holy Spirit helps you understand where you're supposed to serve. Skill without spiritual direction can make you successful in the wrong lane. But when the word and the spirit leads you, your expertise gets aligned with purpose. And when that happens, even the way you serve your customer changes. You listen better,
[00:06:25] care more, solve problems more thoughtfully. You stop seeing people as transactions and start seeing them as assignments. Loyalty grows because trust grows. And through that process, the Father is lifted up. So sharpen the axe. Study the word. Follow the spirit. And serve people well. Because a true kingdom entrepreneur understands this.
[00:06:55] God blesses us many times by making us a blessing first. Father God, thank you for calling us to serve you in the marketplace. Help us to sharpen the gifts you have placed in us and to develop the skill, integrity, and character needed to serve at a high level. Keep us from seeing opportunities only through the lens of money. And help us remember that
[00:07:23] many times you are sending us as an answer to someone else's prayer. Guide us by your word. Lead us by your spirit. And let our work bring glory to your name. In Jesus Christ's name we pray. Amen. I thank you for spending time with me on today. And I look forward to our conversation next Sunday. Until then, God bless.
