[00:00:55] And today, we are going to have a discussion on a topic of, That's Impossible. Do miracles still happen. Our spiritual inspiration is coming from Second Timothy chapter 2 verse 15. Reading from the amplified version, it reads, Study and do your best to present yourself to God approve.

[00:01:24] A workman tested by trial who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the Word of Truth. Shoring ourselves approved to God involves a combination of diligent study, accurate teaching, and living with integrity in accountability.

[00:01:45] It is being a faithful worker in God's kingdom who handles His Word with care and precision seeking His approval above all else. Have you ever been challenged by someone because they can't believe certain stories in the Bible?

[00:02:04] Do they cite specific actions such as Noah building the art core, the very creation of all things as we know them as impossible? So today I have asked Bishop John Jackson to join me in a discussion of the responsibilities

[00:02:22] we have as believers to understand the Bible to the point we can shed light on those who are confused or bring clarity in their understanding of God's Word. Our spiritual text ends with the phrase, skillfully teaching the Word of Truth.

[00:02:42] The Word of Truth refers to the comprehensive message of God as revealed in the Scriptures encompassing the gospel of Jesus Christ, God's commandments is teachings and promises. It is characterized by its truthfulness and transformative power as well as the ability to provide wisdom and guidance.

[00:03:06] And someone refers to any act as impossible. It is based on human knowledge and logic but is that always accurate? I want to share a story with you about a gentleman who had a peculiar hobby. He liked to fly airplanes that do not have engines.

[00:03:27] Most of us know that as gliders. Now in his day job, the gentleman was a commercial pilot for a major airline. One day he was taken a flight from New York heading to Charlotte, North Carolina with 150 passengers and five crew members.

[00:03:46] Shortly after take off, the plane flew into a flock of geese, damaging both engines and the plane lost the ability to thrust. In other words, had no engines. After realizing that there was not enough time to return to the airport they departed

[00:04:03] from or to continue to the next available airport. Captain Chasley-Sullenberg decided to land the plane on the Hudson River. Captain Sully's experience as a glider pilot allowed him to land the plane on the river and all passenger and crew were rescued. I've been injured.

[00:04:30] Everyone was shaken but everyone lived. For non-believers this may have been seen as luck, but for believers it was a clear example of Psalm 118 verse 17 which reads, I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.

[00:04:52] The Bible also outlined significant responsibilities for those who teach the word of God. Teachers are called to handle Scripture accurately. Live lives of integrity and exemplary conduct, care for their congregation, guard against false teaching and build up the body of Christ.

[00:05:13] It must approach their role with seriousness, humility and deep commitment to truth and love. Besides in the weight of their responsibility, teachers are to rely on the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Understanding that their teaching has profound implications for the spiritual growth and

[00:05:33] well-being of the people who are listening to them. You don't have to have the title of Teacher to have teaching responsibilities. As spiritual leaders of your home you are equally responsible for rightly teaching the word of truth. This is not only the text but your life.

[00:05:53] Titus chapter 2 verse 7 through 8 reading from the new and national version reads, in everything set them an example by doing what it's good. In your teaching, showing integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned

[00:06:10] so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us. That way I just want to say thank you for the opportunity to join me today on this particular podcast.

[00:06:28] As usual, you say some very profound things and these scriptures really speak all you know, to show it does to you. Yes, because of that, that the lives that we have had to live are learning how to apply these principles of scripture to our lives.

[00:06:50] You know, it's just like, second Corinthians 5 and 17 talks to us about this as of many men's in crisis and new creation, open to ask the way all things have become new. So it's an interesting transition from one life to a new life, a life that's added

[00:07:10] to his Christ in it, being the center focus of our lives being the one actually who puts us in a better position as you and I had discussed briefly before. Everything is about position in this world and I'm going to say out of this world because

[00:07:30] of the simple fact that to arrive at any place we have to have a certain understanding and it says, you know, out knowledge is because of the lack of knowledge. The application of knowledge is wisdom.

[00:07:47] He can't walk in wisdom without the knowledge and you know there is so much information. We're not suffering in our society for a lack of information. We are on information overload globally and as I said to a lot of people in Christian

[00:08:07] don't mind, you know, you have to find your place, your name and get into it. You cannot be everyone. You cannot receive from everyone. You're not going to function in all of the terminology that comes out of the revelation

[00:08:26] although there were statements of truth, but some cases they're not truthfully stated. And unless you have the capacity to understand what was spoken. Yes. It's not going to benefit you. There are things in lessons you must learn if a lesson doesn't touch your spirit, it

[00:08:50] cannot change your life. As you and I discussed before, we strongly believe that we are a tri-part creation, spirit soul and body and often talk about the fact that with our body, we are world conscious and with our soul, with self conscious and with our spirit.

[00:09:06] We are God conscious. So when we receive Christ's our personal savior, we're saying yes to Him and we welcome you. We welcome the Godhead into our lack of devices, the well, the Trinity, the well and man bodily.

[00:09:23] So therefore by this spirit, I'm welcoming you in there and I'm also surrendering control of my life over to you. So for that to happen, there are certain things that we must do in a line, but the beautiful

[00:09:39] part of this great and awesome that we serve, he will not violate out the free moral agency that he gave us, but he will exercise his sovereignty when we agree with his word and he will rule it forward in our lives.

[00:09:56] But he's at some criteria in place and I want to preface this next statement by stating I am a man that believes in science of one miracle and miracles. Yes God still is in the miracle working business. I've seen it.

[00:10:12] I mean this is not a third party story for me. I have seen it over my lifetime, even in my own life. It's very recent. God has just sovereignly moved in situations. However, it is at the election of God based on his sovereignty at his will, his spirit

[00:10:31] is released to do certain things. Yes. Still that happens is in the amplified, the key scripture for today's second Timothy to in 15 are the amplified states that study and do your best to present yourself to God. That's number one.

[00:10:48] It's all about the presentation of walking with you know, you can't be the new creation without learning the Creator or say that. You have to not only learn his acts, but you've got to learn what his ways are and it takes time to be able to do that.

[00:11:05] But I notice also it says a workman. So therefore there is work that is involved. We had conversation also that stated that individuals, you know, I've been in ministry since 1977 so I've been in tap ministry and all kind of revivals and churches and things across this country.

[00:11:24] And many places we see in God move but people were based on their lives on the acts of God and never got to understand the ways of God that are learned through his word and through relationship.

[00:11:38] So therefore they're sitting and waiting and doing nothing but the Bible says if you don't work, you don't eat. So what is the working involved in some people say, well that's not a physical thing. Well there's a combination of things.

[00:11:50] If you ever really got into prayer, you will understand that prayer is work and you've really got into seeking God and studying and that's going to require work. Yes sir. So we need to make the adjustment as to what our definition of work is because a workman

[00:12:07] that tested my trial, tested by trial, you entered the kingdom through tribulations. So therefore those little roadblocks I was laughing, I thought the care left when he was making a statement in reference to the hurdles out of there. You got this individuals, what is the 500 pounded individuals?

[00:12:29] They've got these hurdles that are there and the chances of them making over those hurdles are very slim and none to climb them. But the interesting point is that if they understand the different test of my trial,

[00:12:45] understand that there might be a strategy to go over that hurdle, that 500 pound man won't have to jump over that hurdle if he understands who he's connected to. Yes. He's working or in order to be able to operate.

[00:13:02] And then it goes on and says who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth. Skillfully. One of the things about it's impossible, we cannot walk in the impossible from a spiritual

[00:13:18] aspect and see it manifest in the natural until we have learned how to separate the flesh from this bit. Say that. So is it even possible that until we have the level of understanding that you were

[00:13:35] describing earlier, that that miracle can happen and you're not even recognized it? Indeed indeed sometimes we're looking in the wrong direction it requires attentiveness to the moving of God. My prayers continuously is always the Lord showing your hand moving in my wife right now. Yes.

[00:13:56] I have all kinds of ideas, you know, I've got experiences with you. I've seen your acts in many ways but the question is that you are a thought that's truth is progressive and you are every walling God from our aspect because you're the

[00:14:10] same yesterday to day and forever. So it's automatic with you, however we have to get closer to you to understand when the transitions are happening and watch to see where it is that you're moving. So we know how to walk.

[00:14:25] So we have to learn how to stay as close to you as we can and put our head going to your on your chest and that close then we can sense your moving and it requires that kind of intimacy to you.

[00:14:42] And again, speaking of personal miracles my wife shared in a previous podcast that when I daughter was born, she had a true knot in her on Velocle court and it was wrapped around her neck. Okay.

[00:14:59] And so she was in distress when she was being born and God delivered and she, you know, it took forever to hear that baby cry. I mean, it probably was only a few minutes but brothers and sisters don't tell you

[00:15:14] I felt like a few days and then finally she heard her intake air and let out the most beautiful sound ever saw but her face was purple when she came out. Okay, because it was around her neck. And so what are we going to say?

[00:15:30] Bravo to the doctor that Dr. did not save my daughter. God saved my daughter. And instead of recognition as we grow spiritually we begin, I took my wife, we have to put on our God goggles.

[00:15:44] So that we recognize these things when you are getting ready to drive through an intersection and the Holy Spirit says to you, hang tight. And then all of a sudden the dump truck goes through, ran the light, didn't kill you. Some would say that was luck.

[00:16:01] I would say that was miracle because defining the miracle by the mere fact of something occurring that is out of the ordinary or extraordinary. Instead of recognizing it as supernatural. We live in a natural, he lives in the super.

[00:16:22] And so if we don't have a mind that to see those things, that's why the words is let, here who have ear here. If you aren't tuned to the frequency then you're going to miss it.

[00:16:35] And so as we study, so that we can rightly divide the word, it's really about us trying to help our brothers and sisters realize that God is here for us and that he is empowered us with the Holy Spirit to be able to do some pretty miraculous things.

[00:16:51] And there are some things that I can share with you that you simply wouldn't believe me. So why I don't say it. And the conversations I've had with Bishop Jackson most definitely has stories that you simply would not believe. And so when someone asks me, is that possible?

[00:17:10] How can you park to read and ask them what has God done in your life or what have you given God credit for? People so quick to tell me about what the universe is doing. So I'm thinking about, I guess that's one of the guys new names.

[00:17:27] We probably get to have it and they will have a list up on the wall and says all the things people call them right. They're some calming booters, some calming things. But you know, it's interesting that the Bible tells us love and not the world or the things

[00:17:41] in the world. And when we're talking about this supernatural, it's a way of life for the child of God because when the spirit of God is in our human spirit, it elevates our entire existence. But again, we are destroyed because of lack of knowledge.

[00:18:01] We have to have an expectancy of that operation in our lives and we can come into a remit with it. So the mind in itself is comprised of various levels of our consciousness. And therefore our experiences, our successes, our failures and so on.

[00:18:22] But then we also have our will and we have our emotions. And when something comes from externally through our gates of our five senses, it enters into that area first. Based on our experience with God, the act of our will only be of the act of our will

[00:18:39] will say we're going to have a carnal or emotional experience in this area or we're going to have a spiritual experience because I'm going to laid myself down and not as big a possible

[00:18:53] set, not count that I have apprehended or even though I studied a game of hell at the top university, the top scholars in the world that I know what's going on. I'm yielding my way to that.

[00:19:08] So this is where the impossible becomes possible while we have to continuously stay in the word of the Lord. You know, it's like I refuse to conform to this world but I will be transformed by renewing my mind. Here it goes.

[00:19:26] Let this mind be also in you that was in Christ Jesus. So therefore the mind of Christ, my prayer and I'm sure that the carnal has pray opens that what is your mind? Wack me your mind in this matter. And I want to have a big-

[00:19:42] big out to the marketplace ministry of people, Christian business people. There is a, the spirit is moving and evolving in the way church is done and waiting. Kingdom is moving forward and kingdom advancement.

[00:19:56] The hand of God is on you and ways that you have never seen or known before. That's right. Bringing you back to his boardroom table and he is ready to have the kind of conference

[00:20:09] in some podiums and ways based on kingdom principles and concepts that those of us who have studied business in great universities or had experienced through corporate America have never seen. Yes. Because our Father, which is in heaven, is ready to step forward and show the greatness

[00:20:30] of Him as our God, a Donai, Elohim, who is our almighty God in the earth in Rome. He's going to do that through the marketplace, whether it's education, government, ministry, business and things of that nature.

[00:20:46] So he will show you what has been impossible in your areas of your business. I don't know areas of my business as a friend. You know, I'm in the logistics world and they say now to the logistics space and I like the new determinalies.

[00:21:01] You've got to live long enough to keep up with all this stuff. And what is different is different. It is different. Every sense of pandemic, everything is different. That's how you go. How do we do it? So long.

[00:21:14] But I promise you that if God has given you a capacity to operate anywhere in the marketplace, you have to increase your competency to walk in the capacity that God has with you to operate in.

[00:21:34] And if you think about it, when you think about COVID itself, it was miracle and not a miracle that didn't cost lives. But a miracle where God showed his people that I can stop the entire world, the entire

[00:21:54] world because I need you to take a good look at the state. I need you to take a good look at what you're allowing. The redeem no longer say so. We never speak up. We're so afraid of being ostracized because we are standing behind the Word of God.

[00:22:17] That once again, it makes it easy for someone to attack the Word of God because you won't defend it. When your ability to defend it comes back to what Paul is saying right into Timothy about

[00:22:30] you know, study to show yourself or prove then the proves simply being that you understand the message that's being given. So sometimes what we're reading in a Bible happened exactly the way it's described and then many times here they're making a point.

[00:22:49] When you think about Jesus' healings, the 35 healings that we're most familiar with. Almost all of them were physical without, you know, with the exception of Casanoid Demisir. There's been a few but mostly he put his hands on someone.

[00:23:04] But then what we missed is that when he was leaving, he said, I'm giving that power to you and you would say to me, well, are you saying that I can make the blind see? Are you saying that I can resurrect someone? And I'm saying absolutely.

[00:23:26] But more metaphorically because a person who doesn't understand who God is and you skillfully teach and explain who God is, you gave them both sight and life. You did more from them than just healing a lane body. You gave them possibility.

[00:23:48] You gave them access to the power that is on board with us where you can do some of the things that Jesus did physically. And as I said, I can give you a couple of examples but he probably wouldn't believe me.

[00:24:04] But God is and God is able and if we were made in his image then we are able. But we have the responsibility to make sure that we are digesting a lot of preachers say, eat the word.

[00:24:22] That we're meditating and that we're understanding what our role is with our purposes because we were called to earth because there's something that only Elgin, Karalak or John Jackson can do. There are multiple things that we will participate in but we were called for a specific

[00:24:42] reason and the more we understand who God is, his heart, his thoughts through Jesus Christ. The easier it is for us to fulfill what we were called for. Well that's very powerful statement because I was sitting there meditating and I was thinking

[00:24:57] on something as you were speaking and we must learn how to align with a done eyes of our achieve in order to operate and as kingdom. He has principles and ways that he does things and in certain expectations he is a

[00:25:17] covenant God before he can release us into anything that will advance his kingdom. He has to be pleased in the way that we are doing things. He has a set of ways that he wants things done.

[00:25:34] He has a set of time that he will put together but he wants you to meet with him. It's most interesting that we have in this conversation about giving God what is left well as to do as opposed to giving him first.

[00:25:50] So when we teach from the Pope, it's about first, group giving him a tie then offering and so on and we teach about prayer. We need to make sure that we understand that we want to God our best even at the beginning

[00:26:04] of that passage of Scripture that was just read a moment ago out of the second Timothy 215, we have to offer him our best in order to give what's in the world our best. You don't really know what our best is someone may believe that giving our best means

[00:26:27] that we are doing everything. But I submit to you a there are times that God can call you a side of, we're talking about miracles I remember another business that I was in some years ago and I needed business and I had proposals out everything.

[00:26:48] I remember I had a boo, Chevy Love Truck and I was bouncing up and down the road and I was trying to give business out nothing was coming through. I was proposing someone different ones not right now, no it's good when we're ready

[00:27:03] we'll call you and someone and someone and you know in our human is we can get discouraged we don't try to we got bills we got responsibilities we got this we got that going on that doesn't change and you say okay God you know where is this in?

[00:27:19] I remember that one particular day when that one morning and my mate was on the way to work and asked me what do your plans for today and that's good and it makes a

[00:27:34] dude they hold in your feet to the fire as far as provision is concerned because they're looking at household situation and responsibilities and they want you to do well but they want the bills paid. They funny that way and I was wondering that way right go

[00:27:51] figure and I said well I got some things lined up and I'm gonna get out there and beat the bushes some more and I love and trust at the times I said okay and went close the door and I really had every intention to do exactly that and

[00:28:13] the voice Lord spoke to me said why not spend the day with me and a big lump came in my throat because my man had said I need to get out of here because this is

[00:28:28] dude that's gonna be dude this is gonna happen it's like oh boy and so but I love God and I believe we're speaking to some people today that for here there's you gone through a similar situation on your presently going and he never fails he

[00:28:46] holds his word above his name and he's good for it he's good for it he's good for it he's good for it and I spent the day with him and I just had the time of my

[00:28:59] life with him and just it is not a space to really get to details about that you know it was some amazing things that happened for me and to me doing that time my opportunity to get closer to him and a greatest place of intimacy in my life

[00:29:19] I will never forget but by the time that day was over I hadn't gone out any place to talk to anyone it didn't even make a phone call so now my spouse returns home it's a how to go today yeah right that was like well it was great

[00:29:37] and getting anything you're excited by signing the opposed or anything like that I'm expecting to call anytime you know why do you make right your child of God and you're responsible this is a hard question but there's a good question

[00:29:57] so the evening went forward and we had our dinner and I went to children so on the next day the next morning I received a call one of the proposals that have been out there for months I got a phone call and said I was looking

[00:30:21] over for polls I wasn't ready but I'm ready to fully trigger on this now can we still do it for the pricing and which that we talked about before and let me think a moment you know it is I put them on hold and I started dancing

[00:30:37] around the floor and I returned to the phone and I said yes as we can we get started immediately it was enough for me profit then that profit on because you know you're going to like probably you got to pay bills out of that

[00:30:52] so your net was enough to take care of responsibilities that I had for my household for several months and the excess from the job that I did in A will need to do three more projects which means I've had total profit so when we

[00:31:12] talked about it's impossible God nothing is impossible but it was a vow can to believe all things are possible to him that believes however the caveat here is that have you studied and watch now in that same past

[00:31:30] description second Timothy 2115 I normally read out the complete Jewish Bible and it says this do all you can to present yourself to God as someone worthy of is approval little different than what the amplified or the King James

[00:31:48] Speed as a worker worker operational worker present tense not in resting on your laurels not trying to live on what you did before worker you are working with no need to be ashamed because he deals straight or with the word of truth

[00:32:10] he deals all the way with his work when we would drill and rehearse his word and we repeat his word back to him praying the Scriptures standing in confidence that he is well able to do what he promised because he watches over

[00:32:27] his word to perform it yes impossible yes yes brothers and sisters we live in a world of easy and fast no respect for the value of hard work but what we need to

[00:32:45] turn around this world is going to take a lot of hard work and when it comes to the word impossible it's impossible for that to happen without God I thank you for spending this time with us on today and I look forward to our
