Do not separate your faith from your work. Let the Word guide your decisions. Let the Holy Spirit shape your leadership. Let Jesus be seen in your standards, your service, and your stewardship. Because when God’s people do business God’s way, business becomes ministry.

[00:01:05] In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. To another episode of The Bible Speaks, where we're studying God's word together. Today's discussion is titled Kingdom Entrepreneurs. Our scriptural inspiration comes from 1 Peter 4, verse 10.
[00:01:32] And reading from the complete Jewish Bible, it reads, 1 Peter 4, verse 10. As each one has received some spiritual gift, he should use it to serve others, like good managers of God's many-sided grace. 1 Peter 4, verse 10 reminds us that each of us has received a gift, and we are to use those gifts to serve others as faithful managers of God's grace.
[00:02:00] That means your business, your career, your leadership, and your influence in the marketplace are not separate from your faith. They're part of your assignment. There are many who believe there's a wall between God and business, but scripture shows us something totally different. The marketplace is one of the places where the character of God is meant to be seen very clearly.
[00:02:30] Let us pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for every gift, talent, and opportunity you've placed in our hands. Open our hearts to see that our work is not separate from your purpose. Teach us to lead, serve, and build in ways that honor you and bless others. Let this word give us wisdom for the marketplace and courage to represent you well in all that we do.
[00:03:00] In Jesus Christ's name we pray. Amen. A kingdom entrepreneur understands business is not just about making money. It's about stewardship. It's about solving problems, serving people, creating value, and reflecting the heart of God in places where many may not know him. This connects so well with what we taught in doing business with godly principles
[00:03:29] and serving people through our work. Success in business is not just built on strategy. It's built on how well you treat people, how you lead your team, how you treat your customers, and how you impact your community. These are not side issues in the kingdom. They are central. In business, we're taught to identify a target audience. In scripture, Jesus says,
[00:03:59] Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear. In other words, clarity matters. You must know who you are called to serve and how to communicate truth in a way they can receive it. This is not manipulation. It's wisdom. In business, we're taught the customer drives growth and sustainability. Scripture teaches servant leadership.
[00:04:27] Jesus said in Mark 10 and 45 that the son of man came not to be served, but to serve. That means the kingdom model for leadership is not domination, but devotion. The best leaders are not those who demand the most, but those who care the most. Proverbs 16 and 3, reading from the New International Version reads, Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
[00:04:56] and he will establish your plans. Notice that verse does not say commit only your church work. It says whatever you do. God cares about your business model, your pricing, your decisions, your integrity, and your motives. God cares about your life. He wants access to all of it. Jeremiah 29 and 7 gives another powerful picture.
[00:05:23] God told his people to seek the peace and prosperity of the city where they were. This means our work should make life better for others. Kingdom entrepreneurs do not build only for themselves. They build in ways that protect the vulnerable, create opportunities, and bring provision where it's needed the most. That is why taking Jesus and the leading of the Holy Spirit into the marketplace matters so much.
[00:05:53] The marketplace needs honesty, compassion, and fairness. It needs people who will not step on the weak just to get ahead. It needs believers who remember the least of these. And who understand that increase is not just for comfort, but for contribution. Deuteronomy 8 and 18 says, it is God who gives us power to create wealth. Why?
[00:06:22] So his purposes can be established. There must be meat in the storehouse. There must be provision for families. There must be support for ministry in the systems we help build. So don't separate your faith from your work. Let the word guide your decisions. Let the Holy Spirit shape your leadership. Let Jesus be seen in your standards, your service, and your stewardship.
[00:06:51] Because when God's people do business God's way, business becomes ministry. Heavenly Father, thank you for calling us to serve you in every area of our life, including the marketplace. Help us to be faithful stewards of the gifts you have given us. Teach us to lead with humility, serve with excellence, and deal with integrity. Let our businesses,
[00:07:20] jobs, and influence become places where your love, justice, and wisdom are seen. Use us to protect the vulnerable, strengthen our communities, and bring glory to your name. In Jesus Christ's name we pray. Amen. I thank you for spending time with me on today, and I look forward to our conversation next Sunday. Until then, God bless.
