[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_01]: to another edition of The Bible Speaks.

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And today I have with me one of my dear friends,

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_01]: woman of God, prophetess, Consuelo Shaw.

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And we are going to have a discussion on the topic of God knows, so you don't have to.

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Our spiritual inspiration is coming from Proverbs 19 verse 21.

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_01]: And reading from the Message Bible, it reads,

[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_01]: We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God's purpose prevails.

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_01]: So do we have a problem with allowing God to lead our lives?

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Is it more likely that we go to him with our plans and ask him to join in?

[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_01]: God, I need you to help me with this. God, I need to help you with that.

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And then when we get there and we lay out our super plans and we put up all of our money

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_01]: and it fails, we up in his face.

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And we were saying, why? Why, Lord, you told me that you would never leave me nor forsake me.

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_01]: You told me that if Jesus said, if I ask anything in his name, it shall be done.

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_01]: But who did you ask first?

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_01]: We go to God when we have the need to have something fixed.

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_01]: But what would happen if we went to him first?

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_01]: What would happen if we understood that he is eternal, that he sees the end from the beginning?

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_01]: He sees every variation of everything that's ever come across your mind all at the same time.

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_01]: So why do we fight and fuss with life because it doesn't go our way?

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Because we have an idea of how it's supposed to be.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_01]: This is who I'm supposed to marry.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_01]: This is the kind of house I'm supposed to live in.

[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_01]: This is the kind of car I'm supposed to drive.

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Are you now?

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Or do you believe Jeremiah 29 and 11?

[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_01]: When the Lord tells us that he knows the plans that he has for us.

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_01]: And so if he knows and he is all knowing, what is it that we need to know?

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_01]: What we need to know that he is our Heavenly Father and that he is sovereign and that he called us to this earth for a specific purpose.

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Our life should be spent executing that purpose with all of the spiritual gifts that he gave us to do so.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_01]: But instead we will listen to TikTok videos and podcasts and all of these people who have opinions about how you should live your life,

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_01]: but not go to the one who gave you that life.

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_01]: So with that I'm not saying that you don't have a role in it.

[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't have a part in what you're supposed to be doing while you're here on planet earth.

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_01]: What I'm saying is it's not your job to drive it.

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_01]: God has already laid out what it is you're supposed to do and giving you all the tools to do so.

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_01]: What you're supposed to do is to improve yourself to the point where he can use you even more.

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_01]: So if your job is to be a caregiver and you study how to be the best caregiver,

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_01]: he will give you more people to care for.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_01]: So working within the purpose that he has called you to earth for is essential.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_01]: But also we must understand that his thoughts are so high and so far away from our thoughts

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_01]: that if we're not leaning on him for our guidance and allowing the Holy Spirit to move in front of us,

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, the Lord said he is willing to order your steps.

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Right? And so I'll say order from two different definitions.

[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Order as in sequence, right?

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_01]: One, then two, then three and then order as in called.

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Because as you lean into what it is he wants you to do things materialize

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_01]: and sometimes there are things that you would never have imagined.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'll give you a quick example before I ask Consuelta to join the conversation.

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_01]: The company that I own right now was started as a marketing firm

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_01]: because that's what my graduate degrees are in.

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I worked in that in corporate America for many, many years.

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_01]: What I do right now is I'm a commercial real estate strategist.

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_01]: So how did it migrate from that to where it is now?

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Because that is where I was led.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't argue.

[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't say that's not what I do.

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_01]: That's not me.

[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_01]: As the Lord began to put things in front of me, I began to notice a pattern.

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And so I began to start studying more about commercial real estate

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_01]: because obviously that was the direction he was taking me in.

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And since he since I gave in and started following, it's actually flourishing.

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_01]: And the other business is dying on the vine.

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_01]: So instead of me saying, Lord, that's not what I do.

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I say, Father, you know, you created me.

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_01]: You created everything about me and everything around me.

[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_01]: And so could it be possible that the purpose that I was called to Earth for

[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_01]: is in the realm of commercial real estate?

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Not what I thought it was with a graduate degree in marketing.

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Consuela.

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Wow, so much was coming to me as you were speaking when we talk about God knows

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_05]: so you don't have to.

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_05]: One of the biggest things is by our nature, by our traditions,

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_05]: by our trainings, what we've been taught says I have to.

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_05]: What I feel happens so many times is we don't go back to focus on,

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_05]: well, how much more would who created me have in mind for me

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_05]: than what my grandmothers and my grandfathers and my mom or my dad could have for me?

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_05]: And when we begin to think about that, he created them.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_05]: And they're only operating in what they've known.

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_05]: And so what I would say when I look at this is we have to go back to who our heavenly father is

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_05]: to figure that out because a lot of times we're saying, well, what is my purpose?

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I know that I have said that.

[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_05]: What is my purpose?

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_05]: And as I've gone in life, I began going to college saying, well,

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_05]: I want to work in the criminal justice field.

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I went to school, got a bachelor's degree in criminal justice because I was going to be this life-changing probation and parole officer.

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I had then looked it up, just researched it, and I just knew I was going to go into that field

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_05]: and I was going to be the one that would make a change, whether it was in one life, ten lives,

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_05]: but I just knew that that's where I was going to be.

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_05]: And I had just really fixated to the point that when I graduated from school

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_05]: and I began the process to look into being that probation and parole officer,

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_05]: when I learned that I missed the cutoff by literally some days based on my birth date,

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_05]: you talk about my plan, the plan of man, and the purpose of God.

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I was devastated.

[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I shut down trying to figure out anything else.

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_05]: How many other people have been in that space in their life where I just knew that this was the thing I was going to do

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_05]: because I planned for it and I called myself doing what I knew to be the homework for it.

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_05]: And I get to this space in life and it doesn't happen or it fails.

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_05]: And when I look back over that, as I begin to grow in ministry, I look back

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_05]: and I cannot see at any step that I acknowledged the Lord in all of my ways that he would direct my path.

[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe he would have shown me that's not the path.

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Had I acknowledged him first?

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_05]: And when we look at that text and I believe so many times we say it so carelessly

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_05]: and we just say it so because we are just so used to hearing it.

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Acknowledge the Lord in all your ways and he'll direct your path.

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_05]: But do we really understand?

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_05]: And so I would want people to take away from this, go back and evaluate,

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_05]: did I really acknowledge him in all my ways?

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_05]: In other words, when you sat down and decided, okay, I'm going to go to college,

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_05]: did you ask God what is it that I need to go to college for?

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_05]: What am I supposed to begin? Where am I supposed to begin my learning?

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's acknowledging him and even that because some people would say,

[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_05]: really, I just, I know I want to go to school because my family didn't

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_05]: or because I'm a first generation college student.

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_05]: And that's fine and well.

[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_05]: However, be the first generation college student to acknowledge him first

[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_05]: that you can then begin to also break some of those generational failures

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_05]: that may have happened where perhaps they started college and didn't finish

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_05]: or perhaps they started this entrepreneurship thing and then they didn't finish.

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_05]: But did we really acknowledge him first?

[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_05]: And then he said, if we seek him, that he will allow us to go into the path

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_05]: because he said that the children of God are led by the Spirit of God.

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right.

[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_05]: And so when I think about God knows so you don't have to,

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_05]: it's really allowing ourselves to really get enveloped in that and take on the full Spirit of God.

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_05]: We will take it on for when we're good and but then some of these things seem so minute to us

[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_05]: that we don't understand.

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_05]: He even wants to be involved in those things that we consider minute

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_05]: because they're big to him.

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_05]: They're intricate to the path that he's already created.

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_05]: And so when we allow ourselves to do that,

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_05]: we will find that some of these pitfalls and some of these disappointments

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_05]: that we run into some of these things that we find ourselves in

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_05]: are because we subconsciously did not acknowledge him in those things.

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_05]: And I think some of the disappointments that we may be experiencing today.

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Can we say, God, you know, forgive me that I didn't acknowledge you in that

[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_05]: and then allow God to come back and say because he's sovereign like that.

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Right?

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_05]: He's a sovereign God.

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_05]: He's a merciful God.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_05]: And he knew that we would allow the cares of the world to get.

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_05]: We would get so inundated with it.

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Inundated with them that we would have those moments.

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_05]: And so he's made provision for that that we come back to him and say, God,

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_05]: you know what?

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't even know what this day is going to entail.

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm thankful that you allowed me another day.

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_05]: What do I need to wear today?

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, what do I need to put on for work today because I don't know

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_05]: what the work day went until.

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I have a funny story about that because the Holy Spirit

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_01]: will get involved with as much as you will allow him to get involved with.

[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_01]: So I remember one day I was getting dressed for work and the Holy Spirit

[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_01]: said, you know, blue shirt tan pants.

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, what?

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Blue shirt tan pants.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_01]: So I go into my closet and I grabbed a tan pants and while I'm in there

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_01]: looking at it, there's this awesome yellow polo shirt.

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, oh man, I haven't had that on for a while.

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So I put on the yellow shirt and I go in and brush my teeth

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_01]: and toothpaste goes down the front of my shirt.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I haven't done that since I was like 12.

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_01]: And so this toothpaste goes all down the front of my shirt.

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I look in the mirror and say, blue shirt it is.

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Now do I know the significance of why he wanted me to wear the blue

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_01]: shirt?

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Not at all.

[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_01]: But, but it goes to what Consuelo was talking about that, that we

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_01]: have to get them involved.

[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And so for those of you who are new or maybe aren't confident

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_01]: in going to God with acknowledging him or understanding how

[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_01]: to acknowledge him, I can give you a simple way to pray

[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_01]: where you said, Lord, if this is not for me, move it.

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And guess what?

[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_01]: He will.

[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Because when he closes the door, no one can open it.

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And it works in the reverse as well.

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_01]: But more importantly, if you're going to allow him to guide

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_01]: and if you get this inspiration because you have to remember

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_01]: that all of these things that you see on the internet

[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_01]: and around you have effect on your flesh.

[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_01]: God's dealing with your spirit.

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Even Paul says the spirit is willing.

[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_05]: But the flesh is weak.

[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_01]: So, so the flesh can be telling you that you need to do this

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_01]: and you need to plan that and you should have this.

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_01]: And so you go, you know, hey, no one talks to you more

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_01]: than you talk to you.

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_01]: And so you begin to believe and convince yourself that

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_01]: this is the way that you should go.

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And you were.

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And so if you acknowledge God by simply saying, father,

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_01]: if this is my flesh, if this is my desire asking to do this

[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_01]: or thinking to do this and not your will, just move it.

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And he will make it harder than you ever believed

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_01]: to get that thing accomplished.

[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And but what you have to be careful of is that you mistake

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_01]: trials and tribulation for going the wrong way.

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_01]: God's not going to force you to go the right way.

[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but he'll make it difficult for you if you ask

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_01]: and by difficult, I don't mean that he will put obstructions

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_01]: in your way as it will.

[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_01]: He will not send the right person to you.

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's why I used the word order early earlier

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_01]: because, you know, if he ordered that person,

[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_01]: the person you need appears.

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_01]: You didn't do something to the for that person.

[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_01]: You didn't go find them.

[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_01]: You didn't cultivate a relationship.

[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_01]: They just appear.

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And so it's that level of mindfulness that's going to help

[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_01]: you understand that it's not that you don't have to do anything

[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_01]: as it is.

[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to try to put every single piece in place.

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Absolutely.

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_05]: And one of the things that came to mind,

[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_05]: even as you were talking is if when we look at Matthew 6

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_05]: and 33, he says, but seek ye first the kingdom of God

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_05]: and his righteousness.

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_05]: And all these things will be added unto you.

[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Many a times people attribute that to just material things.

[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_05]: We can even apply that to God, where is it that you need me to go?

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_05]: What is it that you need me to say?

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_05]: How is it that I need to do this?

[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_05]: And again, as long as we're talking about things that are

[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_05]: of God's purpose and not our plan,

[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_05]: he will open that up to us because how much more does he love

[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_05]: us?

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_05]: As the text tells us up in the earlier part of chapter 6,

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_05]: he says, if I will allow the flowers, the lilies of the fields,

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_05]: if I would allow them to grow and be as beautiful as they are,

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_05]: will I not take as much time and to be as intricate with

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_05]: you and as intimate with you to see that all these things

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_05]: are a part of your life?

[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, I know that person out there, you want to make sure that

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_05]: you have everything for your children.

[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_05]: You want to make sure that you're doing the right thing by them.

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_05]: The first thing which will help us be in that space is to seek

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_05]: him first.

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Don't think that it's a thing that's too small or it's

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_05]: frivolous for him.

[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_05]: There's nothing that we can't go to him with that he will

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_05]: not direct our path and he will not allow us to walk into the

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_05]: purpose that he ordained before the foundation of the earth,

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_05]: before your mom felt that first kick in her belly or had that

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_05]: first sickness in the first trimester.

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_05]: God had already ordained this purpose for you.

[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_05]: So I would say let's not think it's strange, the things

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_05]: that we go through or that we've gone through, but let's

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_05]: begin to look at God, what is your purpose for what you've

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_05]: allowed me to experience that I can begin to apply it to your

[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_05]: purpose, that I can continue to move forward in that and we'll

[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_05]: begin to see our growth differently.

[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_05]: We'll begin to see the challenges that we face in life

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_05]: differently because if we're never challenged how do we

[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_05]: strengthen ourselves?

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_04]: That's right.

[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_05]: How do we build ourselves?

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_05]: And so I get it.

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_05]: God knows so you don't have to.

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_05]: We're worried about the wrong things.

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right.

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_01]: And so if we turn that planning into praise and worship, if we

[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_01]: said God show me how to bring you glory today, okay?

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_01]: And watch how things change.

[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_01]: You'll see that he is fine with you wanting to have the

[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_01]: red bottom shoes and the silver BMW.

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't have a problem with you having that at all as long as

[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_01]: this in the right order.

[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_01]: If all your plans are leaning toward those material things

[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_01]: before him and then you come to him when you don't get

[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_01]: them, I just am so happy that God is who he is and God

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_01]: isn't like us because if our child came to us in that

[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_01]: scenario saying, well, dad, I didn't do anything you told me

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_01]: and it didn't turn out the way I wanted.

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_01]: So you need to fix it.

[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_01]: What would I say?

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, if you don't get out of my, you know that that is how

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_01]: a human would respond.

[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_01]: But glory be to Jesus, right?

[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_01]: That he died on the cross that we would have access to

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_01]: the level of power and the level of privilege that we

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_01]: have as a child of God.

[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_01]: But it the condition is really a simple one.

[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_01]: When he was saying, let me leave.

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_01]: If you believe, let me leave.

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_01]: And for those of you who are probably sitting near

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_01]: listening and saying, all right, so what am I to just

[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_01]: sit on the couch and wait for the Lord to deliver my

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_01]: future to the front door?

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_01]: No, you're not.

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_01]: What you're supposed to do is to share the gospel.

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_01]: You're supposed to work on kingdom expansion, taking

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_01]: the Lord into all corners in all aspects of your life.

[00:21:18] [SPEAKER_01]: That means your job.

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_01]: That means your relationship with your friends.

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_01]: That means the relationship with your community.

[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_01]: That means taking God with you everywhere you go and

[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_01]: sharing that.

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_01]: And if you do that, you see what happens is you have

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_01]: to be mindful in order to do that.

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I have to in my mind recognize that when somebody, I get

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_01]: into a situation, maybe I'm in a situation where someone's

[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_01]: kind of heated and they said some things that I really

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_01]: didn't like.

[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And there is a way that I could respond worldly or and

[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_01]: there's a way that I could respond as a believer.

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And so always having that that in the forefront that

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_01]: no matter how I respond, it's going to be something

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_01]: that is pleasing to God.

[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_01]: No matter what you said to me, what you do to me, the

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_01]: car crashed, the person using some sort of exibitive.

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to maintain the integrity of who he is and

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_01]: who I am in him.

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_01]: So it automatically allows you to then seek him

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_01]: first because it's going to lead to a better outcome.

[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't mean that you still won't have challenges and

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_01]: you still won't go through all of the things when life

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_01]: be life in.

[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_01]: But what it does do is it gives you access to those

[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_01]: things that he's promised.

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus said that he came that you might have life and

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_01]: have it more abundant.

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's not just in material things.

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_01]: That's in your children's health and welfare.

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_01]: That's in the impact you have in your community,

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_01]: the impact you have in your church.

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, my children came home for Christmas in the

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_01]: last year and we spent more time together over the

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Christmas holiday than we had probably in the last five

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_01]: or 10 years.

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And after they left, I turned to my wife and I said,

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, if we've not done anything else right in

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_01]: this life, we turned out two great people.

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And that is due to what the Lord taught us and how we

[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_01]: raised them and the principles that we gave them and

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_01]: the values that we gave them.

[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Do we know what he has intended for their lives?

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Not at all.

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_01]: But what we did know is that he does know and all we

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_01]: have to do is help them become an open receptive,

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_01]: loving, caring person and then he can use them

[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_01]: however he intended.

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_05]: And so when you were talking about, of course,

[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_05]: being in my field, when you were talking about,

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_05]: when you run into that moment, whether it's when

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_05]: you talked about the car crash or someone coming to

[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_05]: say something to you, God knew that you would be

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_05]: in that space at that moment.

[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_05]: And so again, talking about what God knows,

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_05]: it brought me to the scripture where when we

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_05]: allow God to do what he does because he already

[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_05]: knows what we're going to face.

[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_05]: It brought me to James 1 19 and 20 because when we

[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_05]: gain this as I call in my field emotional regulation

[00:24:34] [SPEAKER_05]: and the spirit of God is what give us temperance.

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_05]: He says, know this, my beloved brothers,

[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_05]: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak,

[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_05]: slow to anger for the anger of man does not produce

[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_05]: the righteousness of God.

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_05]: And we talk about being able to allow God to do

[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_05]: what he does because he already knows.

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_05]: The part of that says I have to trust God,

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_05]: that the spirit that he left here when Jesus said

[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_05]: as he was leaving, I go away but I leave the

[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_05]: comforter.

[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_05]: I leave the Holy Spirit because he helps us to

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_05]: maintain those emotions that we let get out of

[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_05]: control when we get heated.

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_05]: And how much more does God love us and have already

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_05]: charted out the course for us that when we come

[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_05]: into that space, we're not to conform to the

[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_05]: space but we're to be the changers of that

[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_05]: space.

[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_05]: We're to be the environment changers, right?

[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_05]: We want to be the ones that says, you know what?

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_05]: The accident happened.

[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm alive and well.

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_05]: God preserved me through that.

[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe he needed to see how I would respond or

[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_05]: react to it that he would take me to the

[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_05]: next thing.

[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_05]: So right now you may be driving that, you know,

[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_05]: to a real-to-corroller and your dream was to

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_05]: have that Mercedes.

[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_05]: God said, wait a minute.

[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_05]: I can trust you now.

[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_05]: You're not going to worship that car more than

[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_05]: you worship me.

[00:26:16] [SPEAKER_05]: You're not going to put that car before me.

[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_05]: That car won't become your God.

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_04]: That's right.

[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Right?

[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_05]: And so think about that as we go through and

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_05]: we're talking about God knows so you don't

[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_05]: have to because God may have let that happen

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_05]: so that you can get that Mercedes.

[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_04]: That's right.

[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Right?

[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Then guess what?

[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_05]: You may need to not even have to pay the

[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_05]: full value of that Mercedes.

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_05]: You see how God works?

[00:26:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you want it but I'm going to make

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_05]: sure when you get it, you get it as such a

[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_05]: great discount.

[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_05]: You can go and tell somebody else, look what

[00:26:43] [SPEAKER_05]: the Lord has done and he preserved me in

[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_05]: the accident.

[00:26:46] [SPEAKER_04]: That's right.

[00:26:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I might have a bruise but I am broken.

[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right.

[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Right?

[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not hospitalized.

[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't have no, you know, long life

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_05]: injuries.

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't have any of that but you know

[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_05]: what?

[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_05]: They blessed me to the point.

[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_05]: It was beyond whatever I thought about so I

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_05]: have that Mercedes and guess what?

[00:27:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I was able to pay for it and I don't

[00:27:07] [SPEAKER_05]: have any payments.

[00:27:08] [SPEAKER_01]: There you go.

[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_05]: God will do it.

[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.

[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he will.

[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_01]: He will do it.

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And the other thing too in closing is that

[00:27:16] [SPEAKER_01]: if you consider that this life isn't all

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_01]: about you, that when you let go and let

[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_01]: God and let him guide your life, the

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_01]: people around you will begin to notice.

[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_01]: You know why?

[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Because you aren't anxious.

[00:27:33] [SPEAKER_01]: You aren't stressed out because life

[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_01]: isn't working out the way that you think

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_01]: it should work out.

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_01]: When you are in the flow instead of force,

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_01]: you'll see you have a whole new

[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_01]: continents and then people are asking

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_01]: you why is it that you always so calm?

[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Why is it that you're always smiling?

[00:27:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And then you have an opportunity to

[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_01]: share with them the peace that

[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_01]: surpasses all understanding.
