God is not in heaven reacting to innovation like He didn’t see it coming. He is the Creator. He is the source of wisdom. Whether inventors acknowledge Him or not, every human mind that discovers, builds, designs, and innovates only does so because God made that mind possible in the first place.
[00:00:37] Welcome to The Bible Speaks with your host Elgin Carelock. The Bible Speaks is a daily podcast dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, rightly dividing the word of truth and learning how to apply it to our daily lives. You may contact Elgin at the address given at the end of the broadcast. And now here's Elgin.
[00:01:02] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach to another edition of The Bible Speaks where we're studying God's word together. Today's discussion is titled Artificial Intelligence. Our scriptural inspiration comes from John 8, verse 32.
[00:01:32] And reading from the King James Version it reads, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. That verse matters deeply in a time like this. Because we're living in an age of exploding information, accelerating technology, And tools that can produce more words, images, and ideas in seconds than most people could ever handle in years.
[00:02:02] The internet has made it possible to reach the world instantly. Building businesses across continents, and gathering thousands, if not millions of friends, followers, customers, and communities. And now artificial intelligence is expanding what human beings can do even further. But the question for believers is not simply, what can this tool do?
[00:02:30] The real question is, will we use it in a way that brings God glory and helps expand his kingdom? Let us pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for being the source of all wisdom, truth, and understanding. Thank you for every tool, gift, and opportunity you allow mankind to discover.
[00:02:56] Open our hearts today so that we would not be dazzled by technology, And forget the one who gave us the ability to create it. Teach us to use every resource available with discernment, humility, and purpose. Let your word guide us, and the Holy Spirit lead us into truth. In Jesus Christ's name we pray. Amen. So let's start here.
[00:03:27] Technology does not surprise God. God is not in heaven reacting to innovation like he didn't see it coming. He is the creator. He is the source of wisdom. Whether inventors acknowledge him or not, Every human mind that discovers, builds, designs, and innovates, Only does so because God made that mind possible in the first place.
[00:03:55] Exodus 3 and 3 reads, That means creativity, design, problem solving, and even innovation has always been under God's authority. So no, believers should not automatically panic every time a new tool appears.
[00:04:23] But we also should not worship the tools. This is where the tension is. AI can process information, summarize research, identify patterns, assist with planning, improve communication, and help ministries and businesses operate more effectively. It can help identify trends. Where people need help the most.
[00:04:50] It can translate content and measure the effectiveness of our outreach. In that sense, it can be a servant of kingdom work. But AI is not truth. AI is not wisdom. AI is not discernment. And AI is certainly not the Holy Spirit. This understanding connects us to what we talked about in the Kingdom Entrepreneur 2.0. AI is a powerful tool. Skill matters.
[00:05:20] Excellence matters. Excellence matters. Sharpening the axe matters. But the sharper the tool, the more important it becomes that the person using it has integrity, character, and spiritual clarity. A powerful tool in an undisciplined hand can do damage. A useful tool in a surrendered hand can bless many. That is why John 8.32 is such a fitting anchor.
[00:05:50] Jesus didn't say information will make you free. He said truth will make you free. And truth does not come from machines. Truth comes from God. The word of God is living. It's not outdated. It's not weak. It was given to guide us in how to please God and serve people.
[00:06:13] So as useful as AI may become, it must always remain under the authority of Scripture. It can help organize knowledge, but it can't replace revelation. It can process language, but it can't produce the kind of wisdom that comes from above. James 3.17 reads,
[00:06:36] But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits. That is real intelligence. That is real intelligence. Real intelligence is not just speed. It's not scale. It's not the ability to generate answers. Real intelligence is knowing how to use power in a way that reflects God's heart.
[00:07:06] And that kind of intelligence only comes through the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in John 14 and 12 that believers would do greater works. Not because we're greater than him, but because after his ascension, the Holy Spirit will be given. And the gospel was spread in ways the world had never seen. The Holy Spirit is the power of God. The Holy Spirit is the power of God. The Holy Spirit is the power of God. The Holy Spirit is the power of God.
[00:07:33] After that, the Holy Spirit is come upon you. That means the true power source of the believer is not technology. It's the Spirit of God. So if AI helps you serve faster, praise God. If it helps you communicate more clearly, reach people that could not be reached before. If it helps you better understand where help is needed. Praise God.
[00:08:02] But never confuse the tool with the source. We may marvel at the inventions of man. But let us never forget that God made the man. And when we remember that, we gain clarity. We stop chasing innovation for its own sake and start asking better questions. Does this help us love people better? Does this help us serve with excellence?
[00:08:30] Does this help us spread truth? Does this lift up Jesus? That also connects to God, where are you? Because in chaotic times, people are searching for answers everywhere. Technology may help us move faster. But only the Spirit can help us move properly.
[00:08:52] Only the Holy Spirit can show us motive, timing, purpose, and how to use modern tools without losing ancient truths. So don't be impressed by artificial intelligence more than your surrender to spiritual intelligence. Use the tools. Learn the system. Study the trends. Build that business. Strengthen your ministry and reach the world. Know the world.
[00:09:21] But do it all under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the Word of God as your standard and the Holy Spirit as your guide. Because when technology is submitted to truth, it becomes another way for the Father to be lifted up. Father God, thank you for being the source of all wisdom, creativity, and truth.
[00:09:47] Help us to use every tool available to us with humility and discernment. Keep us from being distracted by what is impressive and remind us to stay grounded in your word. Let the Holy Spirit guide how we build, serve, teach, create, and reach one another. Show us how to use technology to love people well.
[00:10:12] Strengthen your work and expand your kingdom without ever replacing dependence on you. Let everything we do bring glory to your name. In Jesus Christ's name we pray. Amen. I thank you for spending time with me on today. And I look forward to our discussion next Sunday. Until then, God bless.
