00:00:05
I love interviewing people from all walks of life and I

especially like what makes a person tick.
00:00:11
I ask the questions that people want to hear.
00:00:13
So sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
00:00:21
Hey this is Wendy and you are listening to a juicy pear pod
00:00:24
cast and I'm very excited about my guest.
00:00:27
Today is name is Ken McMullen and he has a podcast called
00:00:31
becoming Outlaws. True stories of divine
00:00:34
encounters. Hey Ken.
00:00:36
Hey glad to be here. Yeah, I'm so excited that you're
00:00:39
here. I'm excited.
00:00:43
I've been listening to yours and I'm a little taken back.
00:00:46
I don't know if I can compete with Mothman.
00:00:49
Oh God, super fascinating. The things.
00:00:51
Oh my gosh. That was one of my favorite
00:00:54
episodes and the guy invited me down to Point Pleasant West
00:00:58
Virginia, next year for the Mothman festival.
00:01:00
And you know, he's going to take me to all the different like
00:01:02
places down there and I'm super excited.
00:01:05
I don't know why but yeah, that is one of my favorite episodes.
00:01:08
Do you know if they do they have a people give stories about
00:01:11
Mothman, do people dress up as Mothman?
00:01:14
I think they all they do it all. I think you know because it was
00:01:18
such a you know, it was such a Huge thing that happened was
00:01:21
like in the 60s for people listening.
00:01:24
You know, it was like during I think it was 1967 and this this
00:01:29
huge Bridge collapsed Over the River Ohio.
00:01:32
It was like two weeks before Christmas I feel and yeah, it
00:01:35
was just loaded with traffic. And lots of people passed died,
00:01:39
but four months beforehand. And after the incident people
00:01:43
were seeing this thing. Weird stuff was happening in a
00:01:47
town like you up. There were seen UFOs.
00:01:50
Yeah. And in black, I mean, the whole
00:01:52
thing, it was just very strange and it wasn't just dozens of ink
00:01:57
people. It was hundreds hundreds of
00:01:59
accounts hundreds. So yeah, very intriguing, very
00:02:03
interesting story. Yeah, okay, well good.
00:02:06
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So yeah, that was one of my
00:02:09
favorite things but you can have weird.
00:02:11
Let's talk about me. Yes.
00:02:13
Yes, this is why you're here. I want to talk about you and I
00:02:15
want to talk about your podcast so you told me just off
00:02:19
recording that you just started. Four months ago, but you have
00:02:22
all these amazing people on your show?
00:02:24
Yeah, tell us about your podcast, you know, where are
00:02:27
they coming from? Well, I have a, I think it was
00:02:30
just a bunch of things came together.
00:02:32
So, you know, there's maybe you do know.
00:02:35
I actually don't know how many podcasts are out there like a
00:02:38
bazillion, many, many many. Yeah, I mean, anybody with a
00:02:41
phone and a napkin start talking and post it to the world and
00:02:44
then there's podcast to go all the way up to like a Dateline
00:02:47
NBC. And it's this huge Productions
00:02:50
really tough. You know, television on radio
00:02:52
that yummy isn't even podcast world.
00:02:54
It's radio world on a podcast format but as far as what we're
00:02:58
doing it, there's always room to expand obviously, but I think
00:03:01
mine kind of it shouldn't be where it is.
00:03:04
After that short amount of time as far as the regular trajectory
00:03:08
or the kind of guess I'm getting.
00:03:09
But the really unique topic button each I guess.
00:03:12
And then and it's a combination of things.
00:03:15
I mean I do professional marketing now but back in the
00:03:17
day, when I was a Youngster, I was all about.
00:03:20
Things I had done almost a decade of like radio and
00:03:23
television old-school broadcasting that helps that
00:03:26
helps tremendously. Yeah I mean it's a whole new
00:03:28
world as far as the technology but being in marketing for
00:03:32
companies eye on what's going on and learned how podcast work and
00:03:38
this and that, and then how it came about and all came together
00:03:40
is for work. I was interviewing.
00:03:44
Well, actually, if you don't mind the story, I'll tell ya
00:03:46
sure it's a heuristic. So this came about actually, I
00:03:51
was up and running with a podcast 10 days after I decided
00:03:53
to do one. And it was NASA sakes because of
00:03:57
this. So when the new Elvis movie came
00:03:59
out, I took my parents who haven't?
00:04:01
I don't think my dad's been to a movie in like a decade or two.
00:04:03
But yeah, but I took a day off and they were willing to go.
00:04:06
See the Elvis movie, they'll encounter Asia in while I was
00:04:10
watching it. I see one of the characters in
00:04:12
it, Jimmie, Rodgers snow, the son of Hank Snow who worked with
00:04:17
Colonel, Parker of people saw the movie or know anything about
00:04:19
Elvis history. No Hank Snow was he was like the
00:04:23
biggest country start internationally in the world at
00:04:25
that time and he's on this tour. Being managed by Colonel Parker
00:04:29
who became Elvis as manager, Hank Snow and Colonel.
00:04:33
Parker were both supposed to be Elvis's manager, okay?
00:04:36
And Hank was, his son was Jimmy and who had an RCA recording
00:04:42
contract was touring. Then Elvis came on the tour and
00:04:46
it's kind of an unknown at the time, but became fast friends
00:04:49
with Jimmy snow. And For several years
00:04:52
fast-forward to 1995 is I was living in Nashville and I ended
00:04:57
up working with and getting to know.
00:04:58
Jimmy Rogers? No.
00:04:59
Oh wow. It pretty well for about a year.
00:05:02
He used to close a show every Friday night on the Grand Ole
00:05:05
Opry called the Grand Old Gospel time and he would have seniors
00:05:10
who were like on the Opry that night if they want to stay on
00:05:13
and do some like Faith gospel stuff and then he would do a
00:05:16
little sermon at the end and that would close the Opera every
00:05:19
Friday night for like, 30 years. Or so.
00:05:21
Wow. And so he was kind of considered
00:05:23
the pastor of the stars of that era anyway.
00:05:27
I hadn't been in touch with him since that.
00:05:30
So however long that is a long time but when I saw the movie I
00:05:33
actually was thinking. I wonder how he's doing.
00:05:35
Is he okay? Is he alive?
00:05:37
You know, it wasn't a youngster then.
00:05:39
So anyways out of curiosity I find them and I connect on
00:05:41
LinkedIn of all things and we reconnect after all those years
00:05:45
and I'm like, hey want to come on this podcast, they do for
00:05:47
work which had nothing to do with faith issues or paranoid.
00:05:50
Oil or anything, but he told this most amazing story that I
00:05:54
got goosebumps, ah, how he went from an RCA recording artist
00:05:58
soon, after that movie would have taken place when he was
00:06:01
still young to becoming a preacher because of a Divine
00:06:04
encounter, basically, I don't know if you use those words, but
00:06:07
it was that kind of story for 63 years, he says, from that day
00:06:11
on, I've been doing the same thing.
00:06:13
I've got this mission to do because of this encounter and
00:06:16
I'll do it till the day I die. Wow, that's amazing, you know.
00:06:20
And he still on, he's on cable television, doing Bible
00:06:24
teachings. And yeah, whatever.
00:06:26
He's still at it, he was even invited to hang out at Graceland
00:06:30
for weeks at a time. He was going to be in, possibly
00:06:33
the King Creole movie that was about to come out with Elvis.
00:06:35
He turned it all down and changed the whole direction of
00:06:38
his life because of experience. He had.
00:06:42
Wow, I thought that people need to hear that and I can't play
00:06:45
that for my work, right? Right, that's amazing.
00:06:49
What can you say? A.
00:06:50
I mean if you want to just sort of say a little bit, do you want
00:06:54
to talk about his Divine encounter?
00:06:56
What, what was the thing that did it for episode 10?
00:07:00
Okay? And you can hear it on my
00:07:02
episode 1, but I'll tell you is so both Street together and
00:07:05
telling you is I thought, you know what, I know how to do
00:07:07
podcasts. I I was paying a podcast Studio
00:07:11
to do one that I would host it work.
00:07:13
And I've got this empty room at home and I have media
00:07:17
experience. And even since my media, I've
00:07:21
booked a tons of speakers. Tons of guests for Live Events
00:07:24
or speaking to groups. And I just kind of got a knack
00:07:27
at how to get through to people to see if they'll come to
00:07:29
something. So anyways, I said, you know,
00:07:31
I'm just gonna I don't know, see what it'd be like to mechas and
00:07:34
so I end up, I take a room that should have been a dining room
00:07:37
in my house. If anybody watches the podcast,
00:07:39
you can see it right now. But guys, it had wood, floors.
00:07:42
It's terrible for Anything Audio.
00:07:44
But yeah, you know, I revamp the room.
00:07:47
I've got all kinds of soundproofing things all around
00:07:49
me now. And, you know, No, I did
00:07:51
lighting or whatever, so I built it myself as kind of fun, and
00:07:53
then I just my first episode of people watch it.
00:07:56
It's called Presley to purpose. And I took I basically just came
00:08:01
on like this by myself and I said, hey, I know this guy and I
00:08:04
gave a brief her story of how I met him and who he is and his
00:08:07
life's fascinating. I actually have a couple hours
00:08:09
of him telling other stories beside.
00:08:11
This one Johnny Cash is conversion.
00:08:13
He was involved with. Wow, that's an upcoming one.
00:08:16
I'll do one day, just from this footage.
00:08:18
I have that. I haven't used them.
00:08:19
That I tape. There's a story.
00:08:20
Freeze. I have I do have on this podcast
00:08:22
where when he was young, they're from Canada.
00:08:25
His dad came over doing country music and had hired in a bar in
00:08:29
Texas and the bar owner, loved him and was kind of like a
00:08:34
stepdad has worked at a hell. Yeah, I played with them.
00:08:36
Gave him things to do, and he had a little, he would sing on
00:08:39
stage as a little cute kid. And cowboy clothes turns out to
00:08:42
be Jack Ruby, who killed Lee Harvey, Oswald.
00:08:48
Six Degrees of Separation there. Oh my word is life is so
00:08:53
interesting to listen to me. So anyways, so yeah, his story
00:08:56
was that he's young. He's got a recording contract
00:08:59
with RCA, his dad's most popular singer in country music in the
00:09:03
world. A member of the Grand Ole Opry
00:09:04
which is super big deal at the back and that and that time was
00:09:08
supposed to be the manager of Elvis Presley.
00:09:10
But the colonel snookered snookered him out of that one.
00:09:15
Okay, and everything was going Good for him.
00:09:18
He was at this doesn't sound like a cool thing, but it wasn't
00:09:21
that back in the day that He adjusted on The Lawrence Welk
00:09:24
Show where there's no Lawrence Welk Show.
00:09:26
I remember that sounds, so dumb now, but in the, you know, 50 is
00:09:32
that was a big deal. That was a huge deal.
00:09:34
Yeah. So he was on the trajectory up,
00:09:36
however, he's involved in heavy, heavy drinking, okay, and
00:09:42
miserable and depressed, which you find out about a lot of
00:09:46
people's lives, you know, I would call it now people's
00:09:48
Facebook lives, our social media lies versus, you know, their
00:09:52
reality, right? So he had a pre Facebook phase,
00:09:56
he had a nice outward career going and personally personally
00:10:00
miserable, you know, I think a lot of that comes from just
00:10:04
people not being grounded spiritually or what our real
00:10:07
purpose is and I think you'll find it the story over and over
00:10:10
again with celebrities, you're like, what's the deal with them?
00:10:13
They have everything. Well they don't, you know, us
00:10:15
Yahoo's think well, I've got a hole in me somewhere, like, it's
00:10:20
got to be more than this. Well, it must be success and we
00:10:23
always have all these rings of success to think.
00:10:25
We'll, it must be there, but these people went a hit it.
00:10:28
They're like, nope. That wasn't it, still not happy.
00:10:31
That's not happy. Like there's no looking and
00:10:33
searching and trying to figure out what what will fill up that
00:10:37
hole that's in their soul. Yeah, long story short.
00:10:40
He's he tells the story of asking this girl out to go to
00:10:44
the drive-in movie and the Ten Commandments was out.
00:10:47
She wanted to see it. Remember with Charlton Heston?
00:10:50
I love that one. Yes, we watch it every Easter.
00:10:53
Yeah. This was when I was at the
00:10:54
theater. Okay.
00:10:55
Early, you know, not just at Easter on TV or whatever.
00:10:58
Yeah. And he has other things in mind
00:11:01
and watching a movie and he sure doesn't want to watch The Ten
00:11:05
Commandments with his Pursuits. She insists.
00:11:08
And he's really irritated because she actually is watching
00:11:11
the movie. So he gives up on his other
00:11:13
endeavors and begins to watch the movie.
00:11:16
Just at a point. And the episode would say, I
00:11:19
don't remember exactly. But apparently Charlton Heston
00:11:22
as Moses says something. I don't remember what it was but
00:11:26
it struck him about God and God's purpose in our life or the
00:11:30
call that Moses had that he needs to fulfill or whatever.
00:11:33
Yeah, and it struck something. Deep in him that shook him up a
00:11:37
little bit. I don't know the time sequence
00:11:39
but is within a week or a couple days or whatever where he
00:11:42
struggling. Now, with direction of his life,
00:11:44
he ends up his Moment of Truth is a He leaves his home bedroom,
00:11:51
he still living with his parents goes out in the yard at night
00:11:54
and he puts a a revolver in his mouth.
00:11:57
He just wants to end life because of this inner turmoil.
00:12:01
He's having oh wow. Okay but this Charlton Heston
00:12:04
movie thing still struck him. As maybe there is purpose, gave
00:12:09
him a little bit of hope. So he does a dramatic.
00:12:12
He's on his knees with a pistol cocked into his mouth sit Away
00:12:18
ssion. Even though he has the whole
00:12:19
world ahead of them are seeing according to, yeah, how old was
00:12:22
he about that time? I think he's about 23.
00:12:25
Okay, remember correctly. Don't like them.
00:12:27
And now less, you know, he's only like, 20-ish I think or
00:12:32
whatever back in those days. So he does one of these and
00:12:35
they, the more stories I do. The more they become a little
00:12:37
similar. Maybe not that dramatic, but the
00:12:39
terms a moment, sometimes of God, if you're real Now's the
00:12:44
Time to let me know, right? Because I'm done.
00:12:48
And it doesn't have to come to that, but it does come to, what
00:12:50
does it take a human to say? God, are you real?
00:12:53
Yeah, if you are I'm willing to go that direction and it seems
00:12:58
these stories are interesting to me with that.
00:13:00
Oh yeah, I really do. I feel like I don't really hosts
00:13:02
a podcast. I just listened to people tell
00:13:04
stories but, you know, I he didn't hear a voice from heaven
00:13:08
but something struck him internally and I don't know.
00:13:13
Yeah, have to go listen to it. He had an epiphany here.
00:13:16
He had an epiphany in those more.
00:13:17
Or than an epiphany. And then these stories it
00:13:19
becomes like. When you hear, let's say
00:13:21
near-death story out of body experience with people that were
00:13:25
they all become pretty similar. Yeah, they become a floating
00:13:28
above the body. I'm going towards a light.
00:13:30
It was so peaceful. The more stories I hear about
00:13:33
like this kind of encounter a transformation.
00:13:36
They really can't put it into words other than it always comes
00:13:40
out as whether as a moment or within a week of time there is
00:13:45
like something came over me where like The light bulbs went
00:13:48
on. Hmm, I could understand the
00:13:51
world for the first time I place in it.
00:13:54
I felt joy for the first time. I felt complete peace.
00:13:58
It was like my for the several times.
00:13:59
It was like somebody took the dark sunglasses off and I could
00:14:03
see everything for a while. I noticed the birds chirping.
00:14:06
I didn't really notice. The grass was green.
00:14:08
I was looking forward to the day and not dreading a day.
00:14:12
They all have that in common and then they're not all physical.
00:14:15
But some are, they'll try to explain it that I I just felt
00:14:18
some kind of wave of energy, mmm, outside, and within me, go
00:14:23
through my body and I just knew then that God had entered my
00:14:27
life and some real way in my life's never been the same.
00:14:31
And that's pretty much kind of what his story is.
00:14:33
And he just went right and he actually like, walked back in
00:14:36
the house dolls. Mommy's going to be a preacher.
00:14:38
Oh wow, that's amazing. Yeah.
00:14:41
Moment of clarity there. Something intervened and angel
00:14:44
or something in his soul or something.
00:14:46
Obviously. Power bigger than himself said
00:14:49
listen. You know this isn't it for you.
00:14:51
We have plans for you. Something gave them hope sounds
00:14:54
like yeah. Yeah.
00:14:55
So that's pretty much. That's what said and I think we
00:14:58
took this off. There's a long way to say, let's
00:15:00
take this off podcast pretty fast and it's that combination
00:15:04
is, I'm like people need to hear that.
00:15:06
And so I thought it out, I wrote out a little thing.
00:15:09
I made a website and I put on page on the website and on
00:15:12
Facebook I opened up a page and basically said you know, I've
00:15:16
lived an interesting life and I've Met some interesting people
00:15:18
and I've heard some pretty amazing Stories and I'm just
00:15:22
gonna share them with those are the people who are in willing to
00:15:26
talk about them in a microphone. Hmm.
00:15:28
I'm just going to sit and listen to them again and let other
00:15:31
people hear these stories and not just me.
00:15:34
And then maybe along the way, I'll meet some people and here's
00:15:37
some new stories and so much, it's so much fun.
00:15:42
I have met the most interesting fun people in podcasting.
00:15:46
I actually had to take a class in See, no, I wasn't like you
00:15:48
were like off and running in 10 days.
00:15:51
No, I had to take a class, right?
00:15:53
But then again, you know, Ed degree in Communications, but I
00:15:56
don't really use it up till that point and I, you know, I didn't
00:15:59
wasn't in radio or anything like that and I didn't feel like
00:16:02
Googling and youtubing every single question I had for hours
00:16:05
and hours on end. So I'm like, okay I'll take this
00:16:07
class. It was fantastic.
00:16:08
And yeah, it helps get me up and running and it's been so much
00:16:13
fun. It's it's just like it's very I
00:16:16
just love it. It's like a mini.
00:16:17
Ted talk, you know, it's very intimate, people share with you
00:16:21
just really heartwarming interesting or in shocking,
00:16:24
sometimes stories, and it's just, it's just a nice getaway
00:16:27
from the realities of the world, right?
00:16:30
Because everything is so chaotic and everything is just so busy
00:16:33
all the time and if someone would take your time and just
00:16:36
sit and listen and learn so much from podcasting to and there's
00:16:40
something for everyone, broadcasting is exactly what the
00:16:44
word is. It's so broad.
00:16:46
Yeah, that You know, you might have it on broadcasting in the
00:16:49
background, have some like Morning Show on, so you don't
00:16:52
getting ready for work, so you don't feel alone or something.
00:16:55
But that's so generic. And yeah, it becomes just this
00:16:59
Bland thing. Yeah, I don't even watch the
00:17:01
news anymore. I, to be honest with you and I
00:17:03
didn't think I'd ever get to that point, but I just got so
00:17:05
sick of it. I was so sick of the incessant
00:17:07
negativity. And you know, so my podcast, I
00:17:10
started it during the pandemic and because I was just I wanted
00:17:14
something, you know, there's this big looming gray cloud in a
00:17:17
It just wasn't going away and I'm like, okay, I'm a creative
00:17:20
person. I want to be positive.
00:17:22
I want to make something that's going to be positive.
00:17:24
So that's kind of what kind of got me into podcasting, but it's
00:17:28
been very fun. But yeah, I don't try not to
00:17:30
listen to the news because I just, I just don't care for it.
00:17:34
Like maybe 4 news like for weather or something just for
00:17:37
like a quick couple minutes. I'm like, nope, I'm done.
00:17:40
I turn it because I'm just I'm done, right?
00:17:42
Yep. Yeah podcasting.
00:17:43
I mean you could have just a certain breed of dog, you're
00:17:46
interested in. Yeah, that's that's the whole
00:17:49
group of people who listen to that.
00:17:51
Whatever's home. I didn't Niche down my podcast.
00:17:54
I don't know what's your pit. Maybe I should but I just
00:17:57
because there's just so many different things I like, you
00:17:59
know, I love, you know, I love talking to celebrities
00:18:03
entrepreneurs, I have like a mental health segment, I had a
00:18:06
lot of spirituality people on, I love the Paranormal so you know
00:18:10
there's just different and I didn't want a niche it down.
00:18:13
I love interviewing singers too. So it's like okay well what if I
00:18:16
meet somebody really cool like So it doesn't really fit into my
00:18:18
podcast, so I just have whoever I'd like on that I think is
00:18:21
cool. Yeah, my first thought when you
00:18:23
asked me to be on because I was really impressed at how far out
00:18:26
we have gas. But so that was a long time ago.
00:18:28
So my podcast was actually really, really new and I'm like,
00:18:31
wow, I went from trying to share like some guy who knew Elvis and
00:18:34
became a preacher to next in line after Mothman.
00:18:38
That's right. Where I fell into know, I love.
00:18:40
You know what? So I can kind of get a feel, you
00:18:43
know, if I want to have a person on the show or not and I just
00:18:46
knew right away, I don't know the title Leavitt becoming
00:18:48
Outlaws. I'm like, okay, I'm kind of not
00:18:50
really into rules. I'm somewhat of a rule breaker
00:18:53
so I thought, okay, you likes the Paranormal and that brings
00:18:56
me to my question is, what made you?
00:18:59
Well, obviously because of the very interesting stories that
00:19:02
people have regarding religion and spirituality, but did you
00:19:06
have any sort of paranormal experience when you were a young
00:19:10
person growing up? Yeah but let me frame it in this
00:19:12
way so I use the word paranormal which isn't usually used.
00:19:15
Let's say in church circles And now the the subtitle of the
00:19:20
podcast, the niche of it is about three-quarters of
00:19:24
Americans, believe in the Paranormal.
00:19:26
That's a lot of people. And I don't have like the world,
00:19:30
but most of the world would be way higher than that.
00:19:32
We're like, the only ones that are too educated to think
00:19:35
something's going on out there, you know, but they people can
00:19:40
worshipping or involved or trying to appease Spirits.
00:19:43
So, you know, around the world since Humanity, began thousands
00:19:47
and Zere's, yes, yes, but neither man has a screw loose.
00:19:51
Is just a part of our nature through history or something's
00:19:54
going on and why not talk about it?
00:19:57
I guess not. So yeah, the niche though is
00:20:00
three-quarters of Americans believe in the Supernatural or
00:20:03
the Paranormal but that number excludes, like, what I was
00:20:07
talking about people having an encounter with God, so the
00:20:11
Paranormal is usually UFOs. It's very Moscow, singing
00:20:14
activity and ghosts, and things like that.
00:20:17
I grew up in church. I probably have an irrational.
00:20:22
Love all things biblical, scriptural.
00:20:25
I don't have a memory of not reading the Bible and books,
00:20:30
that go along with the Bible, like full encyclopedias from A,
00:20:33
to Z of everything. And what that means, not only
00:20:36
the content, but the countries, they happened in the culture and
00:20:39
the times they were written and the whole context is just been a
00:20:43
part of who I am, but as long as I can remember and then it
00:20:46
wasn't just I was never And a religion.
00:20:48
And that to me, that's like a created thing because I always
00:20:50
felt this is Real Paranormal and then thinking God is real.
00:20:54
Seems to be two separate camps. So what I was when I'm trying to
00:20:57
do is there's hold genres. I called the Christian culture
00:21:01
that they write their they write Christian books which is great.
00:21:04
I just had an amazing woman on yesterday's when 25 books, we
00:21:07
talked about Christmas but we talked about was each character
00:21:10
in The Christmas Story, had a Divine encounter, that's what
00:21:14
Christmas is about like yeah they all have these
00:21:16
Supernatural. Periences be acute nativity
00:21:19
scene. But if you take each one of them
00:21:21
out, they all would have a story to tell and as we talked about
00:21:24
that, but God is Paranormal. So I mean, Bible says of itself
00:21:29
that God is a spirit. Well, that's paranormal.
00:21:32
Scripture says of itself that it's alive and active and can
00:21:37
penetrate people's hearts minds and souls and it's like what?
00:21:41
So even the words in it, if you want to talk about like
00:21:43
Witchcraft and summiting up through some kind of conjuring
00:21:47
of Zen I'm chance. Scripture says well what is it
00:21:50
the words or it's the activity, it invites right?
00:21:55
These forces scripture saying the same thing.
00:21:57
It's saying these words are alive and active, and here's
00:22:00
what they do. And from the very first four
00:22:03
words in this old book in the beginning God, well in the
00:22:06
beginning was the spirit, whether you believe it or not
00:22:09
from beginning to end that. Whether 66 books together,
00:22:13
right? Canon of scripture is the most
00:22:15
paranormal. Oh yeah.
00:22:17
Old stories ever written or comprised.
00:22:20
And if you add to that or have any ounce of belief that that
00:22:24
could be true or God inspired. That's where to me.
00:22:27
The fascination is coming in my whole life, is like, is this
00:22:29
really an old book that grandma has and it's some boring
00:22:32
religion and its rules. Or is this a supernatural being?
00:22:36
That is through styles of years. Adams, delivered, a message
00:22:41
through different times where if it's all come together in this
00:22:43
thing and it tells you what's going on or is it as much?
00:22:46
We need to know with. Forces and the dark Forces that
00:22:49
can trick you and how not to be tricked, how are ya?
00:22:51
And how to look for them? It's all there.
00:22:53
And then everything I hear about falls into those things.
00:22:56
They talk about mediums their stories that mediums in the
00:22:58
Bible. There's, there's a lot of people
00:23:00
that believe that, you know, medium and getting into, that
00:23:03
sort of thing is sort of like, you know, the trickster element
00:23:06
or devil worshipping or whatever.
00:23:08
And I just, of course you can take it to a really bad place of
00:23:13
course. But I just, I don't feel that
00:23:15
way to be really in touch with yourself.
00:23:17
If like everybody has energy, right?
00:23:19
Everybody does and, you know, you have a soul, you have, you
00:23:22
know, within you, if something's not right.
00:23:25
And if something's good or bad and I think it really would help
00:23:29
people. If you kept in touch with that
00:23:30
more and not ignore that your intuition, your, the sharper,
00:23:34
your intuition, I think the better life will be and you
00:23:37
there's like, signs everywhere, you know, if you're open to
00:23:40
that. But I feel like today in today's
00:23:42
world, modern technology and things.
00:23:44
And, you know, everyone's busy with her job.
00:23:47
Some families and everything else and everything is getting
00:23:50
to be. It's like doing away with
00:23:52
logical things. It's like you press a button
00:23:55
because you don't want to use your hand I mean with everything
00:23:57
it's getting to the point where yes technology is good but at
00:24:00
what point when is it going to stop?
00:24:02
Put the phone down and I'm guilty of this and put you know
00:24:05
some of the technology down. Go for a walk out in the woods.
00:24:09
Look around, you take a deep breath.
00:24:11
I mean there are signs and I don't know.
00:24:13
People have gotten a little bit lost along the way trying to
00:24:16
find themselves. And they're trying to figure out
00:24:18
who they are. Yeah, yeah, it's funny.
00:24:20
You say, you know, go take a walk and you see signs and
00:24:23
things, you know, in Scripture, it says God reveals himself in.
00:24:28
Yes, two ways, two ways. One through what would be called
00:24:32
is word or through scripture, you learn about God through
00:24:34
scripture, the other is nature. Hmm.
00:24:37
Like more than nature, the scripture part.
00:24:40
I don't know to be yet to be very honest.
00:24:42
Yeah, I don't know all that much about the Bible.
00:24:44
I mean, I know the obvious stories but I just feel like
00:24:47
People get. So this is how I'm taking it and
00:24:50
this is the right way, and you can't think any other wise,
00:24:54
because if you do you're bad or that's not the right way.
00:24:57
And I don't know, I think it's up to interpretation, to be
00:25:00
honest with you, some things it just depends and it cause it's
00:25:04
just seems like causes so much anxiety and things and I just, I
00:25:07
don't know. It's been used to be the pride
00:25:09
of the most divisive thing. Yes.
00:25:12
Man's ever gotten their hands on.
00:25:14
Yeah. But think about it, there's a
00:25:16
reason for that. But it's still the best seller
00:25:19
ever. Here's what I would say is
00:25:21
anything in man's hands. No two people are going to agree
00:25:24
on anything. No, right I have this pain.
00:25:27
You may not agree with this but this is my thought is if this is
00:25:30
divinely inspired, I'm convinced it is.
00:25:33
Yeah and not just because someone told me it was yes I've
00:25:37
had spiritual experiences because of it but there's also
00:25:41
enough study and to it that it just couldn't be written by
00:25:44
human intellect. Yeah, pray.
00:25:46
Let me go on to say that if it True in this divinely-inspired,
00:25:49
what is of itself is that that God is wanting a one-on-one
00:25:54
relationship with people. And then if done properly, you
00:25:59
wouldn't even need people to teach you because God, or what
00:26:03
would say? The holy spirit is a teacher and
00:26:05
can guide people. So, like in the psychic world or
00:26:08
Spirit mediums and things where they believe, they have a, like,
00:26:12
a spirit guide helping and guiding them and even writing
00:26:15
books for them, through them, and all this.
00:26:17
And of thing. Well holy the Bible supposed to
00:26:20
be that the Holy Spirit had worked through men to write
00:26:22
these words. Yes, the Holy Spirit Will direct
00:26:25
and teach you. What these words mean where it
00:26:27
gets corrupted, is what other men are trying to teach you and
00:26:30
interpretation. Right?
00:26:31
I agree. I agree.
00:26:33
Yeah. So if people I believe every
00:26:35
human being the 7 billion on the planet or whatever were to be
00:26:38
alone in a room and honestly asked God, but the one question
00:26:43
a lot of people asked on my podcast or, and their story is,
00:26:45
are you real Versus just a religion, trying to make me live
00:26:50
a moral code or whatever. Are you real?
00:26:53
Is this real and what does it mean, what?
00:26:56
I'm reading. Hmm, if that happened, I believe
00:27:00
and I think scripture would back up because it's just the Holy
00:27:03
Spirit, teaching a human Spirit. What this stuff means it all
00:27:07
come out with the exact same information.
00:27:09
It's people's egos, it their Traditions.
00:27:12
Yeah it's and it goes on and on that divide and then you could
00:27:17
struggle Your shoulders and say, well then, who cares?
00:27:19
Because it's just complicated, there's too many people have
00:27:21
messed it up too much. I don't figure stuff out of my
00:27:24
own. Well, we all live and die, turn
00:27:25
to dust and billions of people have tried to figure stuff out
00:27:28
on their own. So to me, my advice to people is
00:27:30
just you don't have to like Bo the scholar and learn stuff but
00:27:34
you know, like just ask some simple questions but that little
00:27:37
time away was was true because if it is true, there's Eternal
00:27:41
consequences and what you'll find and I think you already
00:27:45
know is that doesn't exclude Well, if I believe the Bible, I
00:27:48
don't believe all these other paranormal stuff.
00:27:50
It's saying, all the Paranormal stuff is true.
00:27:52
I don't think it's either our, I think it goes hand-in-hand and
00:27:56
and the book itself is Paranormal God's paranormal.
00:27:58
Yes. And so what you'll find in my
00:28:01
podcast, basically, I talked yesterday, you had some cool
00:28:05
people on your podcast. You had some really cool people
00:28:08
because I wanted to mention that you had.
00:28:10
I think it's fabulous that you had her on Amy scobie.
00:28:13
Who was she was like what in charge of Scientology and charge
00:28:17
of getting you know, a recruiting people.
00:28:20
Yeah, I mean that whole thing. Oh my gosh.
00:28:23
So she was in Scientology 27 years.
00:28:27
Yeah. She's pretty much raised in it.
00:28:30
She was in that organization that they sign a billion-year
00:28:34
contract. Yeah.
00:28:36
A billion years. So when a billion years is over
00:28:39
you you're out but I guess so yeah.
00:28:41
Okay you do after that. I don't know either, probably
00:28:44
tired. Take a long nap.
00:28:47
Tire. Yeah, and then she worked her
00:28:49
way up to working with the other Executives.
00:28:53
She was a main executive, the entire organization, which is a
00:28:56
multi-billion dollar organization, tax-exempt
00:28:59
organization. Yep.
00:29:00
They have money up the Wazoo. Yeah.
00:29:02
And you really can't leave at that level and she ran the same
00:29:08
time for the celebrity center. So yeah, she was in charge of
00:29:12
ordering and hiring all of like Tom Cruise's people that you
00:29:16
know they Supply Him and never seen her on Leah remini's show.
00:29:20
And yeah, she was in the first episode.
00:29:22
Yeah, talking about Tom Cruise and I thought, oh gosh, some of
00:29:26
that came inspired Leah, Remini, as I understand it to put that
00:29:30
together. After a me, a come out with book
00:29:32
abuse at the top. Hmm.
00:29:34
So I thought that was super Brave.
00:29:36
I mean that her book was called Scientology abuse at the top and
00:29:39
it shows David miss. The president took him in
00:29:42
miscavige. Choking, another executive cats,
00:29:45
the cover of our book. If anyone knows anything about
00:29:49
scientology, that that doesn't go well.
00:29:52
I mean, they can hurt you financially, by endless money
00:29:55
for lawsuits, they harassed, you people don't?
00:29:58
I mean, it's rumored that they got the tax exemption because
00:30:01
the IRS individually for scared of them, the hassle of their
00:30:04
families and their kids, you know, that's what I read.
00:30:07
Yeah. Yeah.
00:30:07
Maybe we better go to a different topic.
00:30:12
Yeah. So no I want it.
00:30:13
I want to check out that episode that you had of her on there
00:30:16
that sounds so Eating, and you also had John Schneider on and
00:30:20
he was, I remember him in the Dukes of Hazzard.
00:30:23
And, yeah, he talked about his Divine encounter and how that he
00:30:26
had a movie come out to was called To Die For I think.
00:30:29
But yeah, that's his latest next, we talked about, he has a,
00:30:33
I don't know, like a 63 or something acre ranch.
00:30:36
I think it's a now, he moved out to California years ago and he's
00:30:39
I think it's Louisiana, I don't know, but he has his own rant,
00:30:42
in recording studio there and he just records whatever he wants.
00:30:46
That one happened to be a patriotic.
00:30:47
The he does, primarily faith-based movies these days
00:30:51
case and yeah, mine f. One of my nephew's.
00:30:53
He said he was at my son's birthday party and he goes, hey,
00:30:57
I saw, I'd like a picture that that was coming out.
00:30:59
Yeah, I saw your having the dad of Superman on from Smallville.
00:31:06
So I told John Schneider I said, get out to a lot of people, they
00:31:08
don't know. You're right, you know, yes, had
00:31:11
25 country albums with five. Really one.
00:31:14
Are you know that? Oh, wow, this guy.
00:31:17
Hi. Is everything yeah like in the
00:31:19
80s? Okay.
00:31:20
Yeah and I don't know if you know Keith Whitley, he died a
00:31:22
long time ago but he's an old. He's not all time is like a
00:31:26
tease but it was a country music.
00:31:27
I really like I said yeah I've heard his name.
00:31:29
Yeah, the John Schneider. I said, I really like your
00:31:32
style. Your voice is like Keith Whitley
00:31:33
and he's like, oh, he recorded one of my songs.
00:31:36
This guy is a real country guy. Yeah, writer in the nice and
00:31:40
singer and I almost feel bad that's totally under the radar.
00:31:43
But yeah, you know I sent my nephew only knows you as all
00:31:46
bills, a super And dad. He's like, that's okay how it
00:31:50
is. I feel my age.
00:31:52
I just remember him out of that. Black car getting in the Dukes
00:31:56
of Hazzard. Cover.
