[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna hear Tracy's incredible journey of faith.

[00:00:18] [SPEAKER_00]: She was raised Catholic and it truly came to know the Lord at 36 after multiple people planted seeds

[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_00]: and pointed her to Christ, including I love the story of a group of young boys who prayed and prophesied over her.

[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Tracy's gonna share powerful stories about how she approaches her work as a stylist with a ministry mindset.

[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_00]: In our studio she openly discusses what God is doing in her life and what he's speaking to her with anybody that is sitting in her chair.

[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_00]: She said over the years she's witnessed God move in her client's hearts and it's been an incredible experience.

[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's jump in and hear more.

[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Tracy, welcome to our podcast. Thanks so much for joining us today.

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, thank you.

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's go ahead and start with how you came to know the Lord.

[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_02]: You have lots of great stories today but let's start there.

[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, it's really fun because as of course how God works.

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_01]: He comes out of nowhere when you're least expected and a year before I got saved I went to an MLM conference in Las Vegas

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_01]: and there was a woman praying for all the speakers on stage and I had met a different girl that day in her and I were like,

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_01]: oh let's hang out and go out tonight together.

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_01]: She's like, okay cool so we both wanted to go talk to the woman that was speaking in line for to talk to the woman that was speaking.

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_01]: We ran into the lady who was praying for her and she looked at me and she goes, I have something for you.

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, what's that? She goes, I have a Bible for you.

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_01]: It's up in my room and thinking this lady's a stranger and she wants to go to a girl.

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_01]: My other girlfriend's like, oh my no her, I briefly know her. She's cool. She knows the Lord.

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's just go and I was just like thinking of every excuse not to, right?

[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I got to go and charge my phone.

[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. I don't know.

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, we'll just go quick.

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_01]: So we went up quick. She gave me a Bible.

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_01]: A whole year goes by.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying so hard to read this Bible from front to back.

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Nothing is so clean.

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Like nothing.

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just like, I don't really get this because I tried to start at the front and have him behold apparently

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_01]: it's only book. You don't start at the front foot and when so I then threw out that year,

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_01]: like hindsight is everything.

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like God was trying so hard to get my attention but I didn't know what or how and so like

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I became fascinated with rocks and crystals and like it wasn't like I was doing a say on

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_01]: the outside of the world.

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I was just giving credit to the creation, not the creator and so then I went to Italy in July

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_01]: of 2018 right after a girlfriend had read me terrible cards which I had no idea was a bad thing

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_01]: like I just like whatever this take it or leave it right. So go to Italy and every church

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_01]: or museum with the pictures from the gospel or agency pictures, I don't want to insult any

[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_01]: artists but like beautiful murals of depictions from the Bible, I was just crying and my mom's

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_01]: like why do you keep crying? I was like I don't know. I don't know. And literally there

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_01]: was a whole trip of Italy and it was totally the Holy Spirit because yeah, I was just like

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I had no other explanation because I was never a cryer. You know like I grew up in the family

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: of like parents whose parents, my grandparents were like you know crying means are weak so don't

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_01]: cry. And so um, because I was just crying I wasn't like sobbing. It was just like these tears

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_01]: like a faucet or not and like all of us have you know. At church when the spirits moving and I was just

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_01]: like I don't know what this is so then a month later I go to the same MLM except for this time it's

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_01]: in Nashville, Tennessee. I grew up with the girlfriend that I met who was with me when the lady gave

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_01]: me the Bible and as like girl I just feel like my pictures are skewed like it it was look like a

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_01]: girl like going through all of my photos it was just bizarre. It was just bizarre and I was outside

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_01]: it was inside. It was like I honestly I don't even know what happened to those the pictures from

[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_01]: those six months like it was just bizarre. And um, I just felt like the enemy was probably messing

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_01]: with me and and so I at the end of this conference my girlfriend's like do you want to go to the

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_01]: house like sure and then can we please go get something to eat you know a year ago I want to charge

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_01]: my phone right now I just want to get some food. And so we go to this service it's called beautifully

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_01]: broken and my face wants again just sobbing one right? And she goes I'm going to go get prayer for my

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_01]: face because she had some form of like rash or something and I was like okay and then she's like

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_01]: you should go get prayer and I was like what does that mean? And so I chose the two girls

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_01]: that had the same name they're on the worship team and I was like can you girls pray for me?

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess I'm supposed to ask for prayer and they said okay well so they prayed for me love life

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_01]: and I'm like that would be great and like ultimately they're praying for my love life with the Lord

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_01]: and then after that I was like okay now what like it didn't like feel the spirit of nothing right

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_01]: like I didn't know what to expect so then my girlfriend comes back and she's like

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_01]: tucked uh my friend she could probably tell you what's going on with the pictures in your phone

[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_01]: so I sure are those and she's like oh my gosh she goes have you been

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_01]: dabbling in which craft and I was like oh my gosh I don't want to get in trouble but like

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_01]: what does that even mean? I'm not a witch and I was like what do you mean? She's like have you

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_01]: that your carot cards read? Are you collecting crystals like she nailed it on the head like

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_01]: that's not the Holy Spirit and I was like no no I don't want you to talk about it because

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like I don't know this lady's kind of say you know what I want this guy to pray for you

[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_01]: well there was a really long line with this guy people wanting prayer and she goes you know

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_01]: what never mind I want my sons and their friend to pray over you so it was like okay how innocent is

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_01]: this it's so sweet and so I've got three little I call them my three little prophets or disciples

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_01]: 12 year old little boy named Judah one year old man Daniel who's like 15 in Jonathan who's like 16

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_01]: and the little this one goes to you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sons

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_01]: yeah I mean like thanks for asking no one's ever asked me that and they're like okay

[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_01]: can we pray for you now and I was like sure that'd be great my face once again soaking wet like

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just years are flown and I've got sandals on and I can feel that your drops dropping on my feet

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_01]: and so these little boys spoke to my heart in like it was like everything they were saying

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_01]: with something only God would know or close friends would right yeah and like and then when

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_01]: to prophesy they prophesy had stuff over me and one of them was like you're gonna be a messenger for God

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_01]: and like this little boy goes can I tell you what I'm seeing I was like yeah I see a locker

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_01]: and it's full of messages from God and only you and him have the locker combination and I was like

[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_01]: oh my gosh that is so sweet and then another one was you're about to learn the Bible at an

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_01]: exponential speed and that's like oh okay I'm like crap I'm a really slow reader I don't know

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_01]: how that's gonna happen because this whole last thing I've been trying to do that I don't think

[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_01]: that's actually not it and then the third one was it was like the last prophetic word they all

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_01]: gave me and it was like they just all discovered the sky was blue like it was just so nonchalant

[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_01]: but they all said wow I see you speaking in front of millions one day whoa and the other

[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_01]: ones are like yeah I see that too and I was like okay so like that finished and like I walked away

[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_01]: was so much peace girl yeah and I literally just come off of anxiety meds that I was on for like

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_01]: two years and I came off of those probably like two and a half months prior to this and then

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_01]: that washed over me and these kids prayed and I basically gave my life to the Lord that piece

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I had an experience since I was six years old and I just thought to myself like hope and

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_01]: smokes this is real and I just did not want that peace to like go away so fast for it's all

[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_01]: at the end of that I'm like just day dreaming and I was like wow like I feel like I'm gonna let

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_01]: down God about like reading the Bible really fast well the prophetic word was not about reading

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_01]: the Bible fast it was actually about learning the Bible at an exponential speed

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_01]: which actually ended up happening wow because four weeks later I meet my now best friend

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_01]: and another girlfriend and her husband at the carousel at the airport coming back from another

[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_01]: conference wow they invited me along to like they're like hey we had the same conference as

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_01]: we were as like yeah I was and they're like cool they want to be a part of our accountability group

[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_01]: it's like sure so I go and I show up at this house like a month later it's like a dark street

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't google anybody I didn't face my friends anybody I was just so blind what's called blind

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_01]: face for me crossing the line you know I'm like on this peaceful high and I was sitting

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_01]: out my cars like God if these I just pray that these people know you and like that this is

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_01]: so like could you just prove to me very quickly that they're safe and they know you so I get to the house

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_01]: and they let me in and it's answered by like a three-legged dog and I was like oh my gosh it's

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Halloween three-legged dog like I don't know and the people were so nice and they're like

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_01]: lifetime friends now and the conversation opened up with I said so what do you guys do for

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_01]: living and my best friend now she's the one that shouted the Archangel Gabriel about the pastory

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_01]: anyways um she said all I'm writing a book with God right now it's about God in

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_01]: basically like your identity and Christ and um how to walk in your power and authority

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_01]: gotta give you and I was like thank Jesus you know so I actually experienced quite a lot of

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_01]: spiritual warfare it's just six months in not knowing what was up or down in the stairs if I

[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_01]: didn't like that makes sense yeah that's so hard yeah I mean enemies pissed right

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_01]: next and I'm hungry for the Lord and he thought he had me and so yeah and so that is where my

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_01]: process began and funny story like a few years prior to that I was talking with one of my clients

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_01]: and she she her and I were talking about like faith in religion and I said they've got to have

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_01]: book for this and she goes first Bible and I was like I know I don't know like I know like I

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_01]: could book the comics because you know like I always told me but like you know something that

[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_01]: actually makes sense right because I just I strongly believe that like the Bible doesn't make sense

[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_01]: unless you have the living spirit the Holy Spirit you know because now it's the only book that

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_01]: actually ever and only retain the information like I love that book it's only book matters and so

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_01]: it's always a tell I got stuck reading I got stuck in the book one day for 10 hours that following

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_01]: January after I got saved and yeah I gave my first prophetic word to someone and it was like

[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_01]: follow these red flags well potentially these red flags like your screwed your kids are screwed like

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_01]: oh no you know that was bold of me but I was just like I just think it's like you're prompting from

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_01]: the Lord well you know that's not my story to show that first and was obedient and okay what I

[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_00]: shared and good to you I'm not encouraged our listeners to do that unless you feel very prompted by the Lord

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm so sorry you want encouragement and education but Tracy what I love about your story is that

[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_00]: there are like three distinct moments where people were so bold in sharing their faith with you

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_00]: someone just randomly invited you to the real-time room to give you a Bible inviting the church

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_00]: having their sons props I would be like that is amazing that is so fun and that is exactly the kind of

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_00]: people that that jess and I and our listeners that we want to be just like the boldness and then

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_00]: you know everyone is planting those little seeds even here you're client from this a lot of

[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_00]: few years ago and then whoa now you've like bloomed and we're always still growing but so fun

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_00]: to hear about all the little seeds that were planted along the way yes yeah those were seeds planted

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_01]: for me and like yes it's crazy and then like I feel like my clients are my front row seat

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_01]: audience to being like holy crap like that's wonderful like I got to be honest like I'm

[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm no good without Jesus like I don't think anybody is right? Don't us yeah yeah and we should

[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_00]: say too for your like day-to-day job your a salon owner your stylist yes awesome and that's where

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_02]: you get to do a lot of your ministry essentially right? Yes yes. Yes. Yes.

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_02]: How many specific moments that you recall just feeling so strongly that God was prompting you

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_02]: to share your faith or pray with someone or ask them a question to get into some of the meat

[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_01]: of where their faith might be. Yes I don't want to say I necessarily pry where people's faith is at

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I just I just naturally just share my faith of where what God's been doing in my life in the

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_01]: turn it around and just say you know like have you ever considered this or what's your relationship

[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_01]: like with the Lord and that opens like you know room for conversation about it and

[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_01]: more recently there was a woman who had been struggling with some trauma past trauma and

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I personally have my own past trauma that God is completely healed and redeemed and renewed my mind

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_01]: with so much healing and I was able to give her my testimony around it and she's like wow

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_01]: so you don't think the trauma will come back I was like no I know it won't because that's

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't mean wants you to believe but God's ultimate healer and he's and then like Jesus didn't take

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_01]: away the blind I'm sorry Jesus didn't heal the blind and then go nope I'm going to take your

[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_01]: vision back right like yeah yeah yeah healed the blind and then be like nope I'm going to

[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_01]: make him blind again so you know like I spoke truth over this woman and I know she felt hope

[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I had just gotten re-baptized myself and that was the healing that I got from the Lord and

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_01]: and I literally I have this sink the shampoo sink is right next to the chair and you literally just

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_01]: locate the chair and recline it and I was like do you want a good bath nice she goes I will try

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_01]: anything right now so I really rotated it there and I thought they're back I was like well in the

[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Lord and the son of the Holy Spirit I proclaim and declaring to create you healed right now

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_01]: and this is this I saw her from a distance and she was extra perkin she seemed great and I don't

[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_01]: know I decided to have a conversation with her you know like next time but it just gives me

[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_01]: a purpose to share it were purpose to pray for these women yeah in in some men right like

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_01]: yeah and so I have another client who you know I talk a lot about how I hear from God

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_01]: and conversations I've never got and you know that was what drew me into doing the internship at church

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_01]: that's okay I did that for two years because one of my girlfriends was like you know I was talking

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_01]: to God and I was like how do you hear God's voice? So I specifically joined the internship because

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I was so hungry for God yeah I mean I'm still hungry but like I was so desperate to know his voice

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_01]: yeah I thought I just kept chasing and chasing and chasing and you know substance is an awesome

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_01]: church because it's filled with new believers and Joyce Meyer is my favorite like woman to hear

[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_01]: beacons and every morning and she's like you know if you ever want some prayers answered go ask

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_01]: a new believer because God loves children for them and that's a huge room because like

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_01]: and so far watch God move and so many people's lives and when you are serving at church

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_01]: this spirit moves through you like it's so loud you can't ignore it so I got to know my heavenly

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_01]: father's voice no well along the way in yes experience deception because I was hopefully

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know like walking in blind faith in assuming that all people who are attending are good but

[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_01]: you know just like any environment there are wolves and sheep's clothing so that email also wisdom

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_00]: and discernment along the ways so yeah kind of circling back to your client who you baptized

[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_00]: in your salon chair that's so fun I was thinking to all you're sharing that when I sit down

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_00]: on a salon chair something about me just feels like an open book it's like oh I don't actually

[00:19:25] [SPEAKER_00]: know you because I started seeing a new stylist recently but I'm like I just feel like I need to share

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_00]: everything with you I just trust you yeah it's true I wonder if you experience that a lot with

[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_00]: your clients or they're just like for some reason open to hearing all the things now all

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Tracy you said that it often conversation often starts with you kind of sharing just what

[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_02]: you're going through what what what the Lord is walking you through is that is that really

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_02]: is that just kind of like hey how are you how's it going you hear a little bit from them and they

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_02]: ask yeah how about you what's new and then that's where you get the opportunity to then

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_01]: just download all the great stuff yeah yeah and I would say truly follow the prompting of

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_01]: the spirit when I do all of that because it's like feel like I'm supposed to talk about this

[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_01]: or say yeah about this and it always surprises me because I'm like this is not these aren't

[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_01]: my words these are God's words and the client will light up and be like oh my gosh I needed to hear

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_01]: that and this is why you know so when I get the confirmation along with the sharing and so

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_01]: with the listeners I would just say like ask God to speak through you and to use you

[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_01]: into like glorify him because that's my daily prayer I also pray for the the armor of God

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_01]: over myself every single day and what what and Christ over myself and my clients so that this

[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_01]: space is protected yeah because I do strongly believe like the spiritual realm is real

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_00]: and I don't want any interruptions yeah that was one thing you shared with us before we hit

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_00]: the record button was that you do go into your day with prayer and yeah if you could share a little

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_00]: bit about what that looks like for you I think that'd be super helpful yeah honestly my favorite

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_01]: place to pray by myself is in my car you know and no distractions no distraction why it and

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_01]: it's repetitive but it's real and I just lay on the floor to God's feet like what I need just

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_01]: to render for the day and then I pray the blood of Christ over me I pray the armor of God which is

[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_01]: the most important thing for me is like the helmet of salvation she'll defate right like and

[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_01]: he might sort of through or my sort of the spirit and so it's like in specifically the gospel

[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_01]: shoes of peace I mean all of it's so important yeah but it's about to truth right like

[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_01]: important in the era like so I do that and you know if if I'm struggling to like surrender

[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_01]: something or let go of something or like I just feel like I just need extra prayer I'll call my husband

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_01]: and if he's not available like call a girlfriend like for prayer just like for my key starts you know

[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_01]: here's another huge thing that I've only recently learned is you know Jesus had to walk away

[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_01]: from all the people that were I'm just gonna say consuming all of him right like not a bad thing

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_01]: but he needed to go recharge with his father and so many times at work because it's back to

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_01]: back with people I can feel somewhat drained and tired and for a while I was given the enemy credit

[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_01]: which is not necessary it's more so I girlfriend reminded me she's like well Jesus had to recharge

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_01]: with the Lord so like I made it a habit to read scripture and between clients and so if I don't get

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_01]: at least a five minute break in between clients like I feel you know I feel like I need to definitely

[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_01]: recharge the next time or I'll text the following clip right in behind and that's not for another

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_01]: client it's literally for me to recharge I'm I meant my Christ you know those are such healthy

[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_00]: habits and it's just so important yeah and it's not like selfish and it's not because you

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_00]: like it you know it's like it's so beautiful and it's so healthy and it's a good boundary

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_00]: maybe for a first-year for me to hear just like jumping from like called a call and thing that

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_00]: to say like oh my body and my mind and my soul need to reconnect and recharge with the Lord before

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_02]: moving into the next thing yes yeah how many of us have take we take that cue like feeling a little

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_02]: drain feeling a little tired and we pick up our phones when you go to social media or you know

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_02]: our email or whatever it might be and we I mean okay and then we make goals okay I want to

[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_02]: use your place it we need to fill that with the Lord I love that your your habit is to open up

[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_02]: scripture and read the word like wow we we could all use that oh goodness well honestly if

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm being completely transparent like my walk with the Lord it I I fear the Lord from day one

[00:24:41] [SPEAKER_01]: with all the spiritual warfare that experience at the beginning sure yeah I I've learned scripture

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_01]: my identity and Christ and you know it's like always on the defense and that's exhausting and so like

[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_01]: it was like almost like fear based how much I would get into the word and now like I got really

[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I honestly like I got really baptized in April and my pastor gave me a powerful word and he's like

[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Tracy I have a vision of you from God and it's your holding this sword but you're holding it

[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_01]: around side and it's cutting you deeper and deeper and he wants you to let it go

[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_01]: He wants you to heal up and he wants you to be vulnerable with your story so other people can basically find healing

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_01]: through your story as well and through that baptism I I got the healing I needed in God or

[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_01]: noon and now it's like such a more peaceful walk yes wow and so it's just a different approach from

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_01]: different heart posture you know and actually like truly trusting God without feeling like

[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm still hanging on with one finger like you know hmm no it's such an important distinction

[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_00]: to be going there out of like even a habit or out of fear well instead of out of love and out of

[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_00]: one wonder yes yeah what a different heart posture that's so beautiful I'm so glad that you

[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_00]: even like took his word and realized kind of where it applies so that you can have a better

[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_00]: relationship with God the father and not just like Jesus the fearing God you know or the God to fear

[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_00]: because that's not that's not who he is or who he wants to be Tracy could we I know let's see

[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_02]: one of the main places that you have the opportunity to share your faith like we've said is

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_02]: in the chair when you have clients come to come into this salon and do you have any other

[00:26:43] [SPEAKER_02]: stories from maybe earlier when you had more recently come to faith what did that look like

[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_02]: were there any other moments that you could remember share the faith or play for somebody yeah earlier on

[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_01]: oh man um it's seems so far away

[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_01]: even if it was still with a couple years that's fine yeah um I think if anything I've just

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_01]: argued that's it another people because it was just such a wild 180 yeah yeah and um it's almost

[00:27:28] [SPEAKER_01]: as if there's like there's viewers in my life like you know yeah for sure it's been said that

[00:27:35] [SPEAKER_01]: people look to Christians for guidance and a way of living life and so they're gonna

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to use the word condemned but they're gonna judge you for not walking

[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_01]: a perfect lifestyle out so I think a testimony and that is just sharing how flawed we all are

[00:27:54] [SPEAKER_01]: but then sharing got love through that and that his nurses are new every day

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_01]: and how like my relationship with him works and so I think that's opened up people's hearts and eyes

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_01]: ears for um being open to him and um one specific client um she unfortunately had lost a

[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_01]: daughter which has really sad you know she was prematurely born and she didn't believe in God and I

[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_01]: don't know if she believes in God yet but I was a person she wanted to see wow she was only

[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_01]: person I wanted I was the only person she wanted to see after she went through that so uh and quite a

[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_01]: few other clients are in that same mindset where like I get the fall wall or like I'm the

[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_01]: person that people ask for prayer or they'll come to me like just because they find it comforting

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_01]: and I don't think they know why specifically sure but I think any of us were in a dark hallway

[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_01]: and we're scared out of her mind and we weren't believers who are you gonna run to first someone

[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_01]: with a cross on their chest or someone holding a flame like I don't know right like wow right

[00:29:10] [SPEAKER_01]: right yeah so I just think it's human intuition right so I think there's a lot of testimonies around that

[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_02]: itself so without when you yeah when you're willing to share about what God is doing in your life

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_02]: you you have this hope that rubs off on people and even if they don't immediately feel more

[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_02]: hopeful it's something that they remember because hope in this day and age yeah right is memorable

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_02]: it's meaningful it sits with you in a way that you know all the other people who are just doom and gloom

[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_02]: yeah that's just they've london it there's just just background noise at some point

[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_02]: but some with hope that really catches your your catches your attention you know not to get

[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_01]: political I'm not gonna get political but people do bring up political things when they sit in the chair

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_01]: and so I've been able to redirect it to God and be like well ultimately God's in control yeah

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_01]: so it's totally just shifts the conversation because I'm like oh I got an all-in-one to talk about that right like

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_00]: and I have truth yeah yeah it's totally true yeah yeah the highest authority for sure

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_02]: well Tracy I love um again I love your approach to sharing faith in having faith conversations

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_02]: would you summarize kind of what um if you were to give our listeners a little bit of encouragement

[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_02]: or something new to try this week what would what would that be I wouldn't say how can I be praying for you

[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_01]: and I think even people who have been raised in a religious environment

[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_01]: weren't asked that over time you know I'd say I've ever been asked that growing up as a Catholic like

[00:31:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't feel like yeah how can I be praying for you like that's a very sweet

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_01]: authentic wave connecting with someone without being invasive because it's like well hey if you

[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_01]: don't want to share I can just be praying for you because God knows you prayer I'll just keep you

[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_02]: in my prayers hmm yeah between that and saying guess what God is doing in my life I know that's

[00:31:32] [SPEAKER_02]: another one that you use to and that's just yes very easy really non-threatening just being a real person
