Today's Devotional is taken from Mark 8:29. "Who Do You Say I Am"?

[00:00:09] Happy Monday, January 17th 2022 and happy MLK day

[00:00:18] And it's a very cold day here in Georgia

[00:00:21] It's me Kathy Lucas, and I'm back with another day of devotion

[00:00:28] Devotional that I want to share with you

[00:00:31] from

[00:00:32] my spiritual retreat

[00:00:34] seek

[00:00:36] 2022 I

[00:00:37] Just praise the Lord that I've made it today eight. I give thanks in all things. I'm very grateful and

[00:00:45] Today's subject is who do you say I am?

[00:00:50] That's taken from Mark 8

[00:00:54] Chapter and 29 verse

[00:00:59] So I'm gonna answer today's journal question

[00:01:03] That is how has your view of God influenced your life

[00:01:10] Now I'm gonna go ahead and attempt to answer that and I just wanted to really

[00:01:17] Bring life experience

[00:01:20] You know in to scripture. I believe in bringing scriptures to life and this is a perfect opportunity

[00:01:27] So I shall begin

[00:01:30] What I think

[00:01:32] Stands out the most

[00:01:35] With God and my relationship with him is when I was so very deep in

[00:01:44] sin and how God

[00:01:49] Protected me the entire time and I'm talking about many years and he was just faithful

[00:01:57] The entire time the the whole time

[00:02:01] That type of love is indescribable

[00:02:05] And I know that you all are familiar with the prodigal son

[00:02:12] Well, I would consider myself the prodigal daughter and

[00:02:18] Through the many mistakes that I made

[00:02:22] God was determined not to let me go

[00:02:28] He saw in me

[00:02:30] What I'm able to see somewhat in myself today

[00:02:36] And as the prodigal son came to himself

[00:02:42] God brought me to my and that kind of

[00:02:48] merciful

[00:02:50] unlimited and

[00:02:52] Gracious love that kind of love that looks beyond your faults and

[00:02:59] Sees

[00:03:00] my needs and my deep

[00:03:05] Within my soul

[00:03:08] Need what it needs is a love

[00:03:13] That type of love I cannot do without

[00:03:20] Also, I think that one of the most profound benefits of following Yeshua is

[00:03:27] Having a personal relationship with him and

[00:03:31] Knowing that he will never hide

[00:03:34] From me and that he will never leave or forsake me and

[00:03:39] that

[00:03:41] beloved is a love that is worth

[00:03:45] fighting and dying for

[00:03:48] Yes, I'm willing to die for it. Yeshua has no equal

[00:03:55] There's no love that equals that also today's devotional covers

[00:04:08] How the many people that Jesus healed and

[00:04:14] Fed turn their backs on him and

[00:04:17] Inlected him for crucifixion and

[00:04:22] Freed the insurrection is

[00:04:24] Barabbas so as I honor Christ today with you, I'm reminded

[00:04:35] That in my works

[00:04:40] My words and truth

[00:04:45] Must honor him at all times and if we will be truthful with ourselves

[00:04:52] We have all fallen short and disappointed Christ during our walk with him

[00:05:04] but it sums

[00:05:08] 145 an

[00:05:10] Eighth verse that says lovingly states that the Lord is gracious and full of compassion

[00:05:18] slow to anger and of great mercy of

[00:05:23] Great

[00:05:24] Mercy

[00:05:25] Great is his faithfulness to us

[00:05:29] Even when we stray we are blessed. That's what I call that's my definition of being

[00:05:39] Blessed and highly favored has nothing to do with materialism it is

[00:05:48] Knowing God in his total truth

[00:05:51] spiritually and having said that I am just blessed to serve a righteous king

[00:06:02] Who I know personally that is my protector

[00:06:08] lover of my soul a

[00:06:11] doctor lawyer a

[00:06:13] Divine healer and cares deeply from the top of my head to the tips of my toes

[00:06:21] He cares and loves me

[00:06:24] And he loves you and cares for you too beloved

[00:06:29] I sincerely hope that you enjoyed this today's devotional and

[00:06:39] If you are able to please join us, I invite you again will always extend

[00:06:47] the

[00:06:48] invitation for you to join us on our prayer line

[00:06:56] Which takes place at seven o'clock am

[00:07:01] Eastern Standard Time

[00:07:03] If you are not able to join at that time, which is perfectly understandable

[00:07:09] You can listen to the replay and the number for the call-in prayer line for seven o'clock in the morning is

[00:07:20] four two five four three six six two seven seven and

[00:07:31] the access code is

[00:07:34] Two four six one one four

[00:07:37] Hashtag the only thing changes with the proof with the replay line is that instead of using six two seven seven

[00:07:45] You will use six two seven eight. That's the only difference so I invite you

[00:07:50] I thank you for listening to today's devotion. I hope that it blessed you as it has blessed me

[00:07:57] Thank you for being a part of my life

[00:08:01] My love to you forever. I will see you hopefully tomorrow with another devotion

[00:08:08] Have a good one and be blessed wherever you are
