Do you see God’s favor in your life? Now, before you give me that polite nod, really think about it. Do you notice how things seem easier and calmer and more peaceful than the time in your life when you were turned away from God? Or have you become so accustomed to the smooth roads that you’ve forgotten who paved them? Let’s have a tough-love moment here. Life is hard. We struggle. We face bills that don’t match the bank account, relationships that feel like sandpaper, and health scares that keep us up at 2:00 AM. We live in a world that’s loud, chaotic, and frankly, quite exhausting. Often, when we’re in the thick of it, we start acting like spiritual orphans. We scramble, we worry, we try to muscle through on our own strength, and then we wonder why we’re miserable. Picture this: You’re driving home after a brutal day. Your boss was on your back, the kids are struggling at school, and you just found a new leak under the kitchen sink. You’re gripping the steering wheel so tight your knuckles are white. You’re rehearsing every frustration. But then, you realize you hit every green light on the way home. A stranger at the grocery store gave you their cart with a quarter already in it. A friend sends a text at the exact moment you felt like giving up, saying they were thinking of you. In our pride, we call that "luck." We call it "coincidence." We tell ourselves we just "caught a break." That’s a lie. That is the hand of God reachwednesing into your chaos to whisper, "I’m still here." If you recognize God’s favor in your life, and recognize you have not acknowledged Him in a while, this challenge is for you. Stop being ungrateful. God seeks an intimate and loving relationship with you. The fact that you recognize His favor indicates that you recognize His desire to show His love for you. Often, we receive His favor even when we don’t deserve it. Actually, we never deserve it. That’s what makes it grace. Can you think of something that happened recently that you know was not luck, but the hand of God? Maybe it was a door that closed to protect you, or a window that opened to provide for you. Whatever it was, it’s time to stop ignoring the Provider while you enjoy the provision. My challenge for you is to make time today, even if it is just a silent prayer in your mind right now, to thank God for His blessings. Thank Him for His boundless love. Thank Him for the favor He introduces into your life each day. God makes time to show you His love and all good relationships take two. Make time to connect with God today, and every day for the rest of your days. Join us this Friday @ 7pm Pacific, right here on this podcast as we explore the topic “Appreciate Favor”. Bless you.
