Have you ever thought to yourself "I know that God loves me, but I just don’t feel comfortable putting my guard down for Him"?
I understand how you are feeling. We learn throughout our lives to keep our hearts guarded from the pain that others can inflict on us. Family and friends can bring us joy, but they can also be the source of heartache and pain. It is natural to want to keep your heart guarded, especially in having a relationship with God and getting to know Him.
The truth is that God loves you more than you can fathom. God’s love exceeds the love of anyone you know on earth. God created you and he created a heart in you that is designed to be in a loving and intimate relationship with Him. God will never, ever leave you or forsake you. You can trust your heart with God, knowing that doing so will lead you on a path to a fulfilling and joy-filled life in God. Your life circumstances may have ups and downs, but the joy you can experience with God in your heart is beyond anything you have experienced.
