When Ashlee Assadi's husband, Armin, fled Iran with his family as a seven-year-old, arriving in America meant something profound.
His father pointed to the American flag and told him:
"That represents freedom."
It was a lesson Armin never forgot.
And it's a powerful reminder for all of us not to take the freedoms we've been given for granted.
