James 5:16 tells us that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
But sometimes we read that and think:
"Well, that can't be me. I'm not righteous enough."
And that's where our understanding of identity matters.
In Part One of this week's episode, Mark Halstensgard reminds us that our righteousness isn't something we earn. It's something we receive through Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us that in Christ, we become the righteousness of God.
Jesus did what we could never do on our own.
And when we begin to understand who we are in Him, it changes the way we approach prayer.
We don't have to earn the right to come confidently before God. Jesus has already made a way. 💛
Our confidence isn't in how perfectly we've lived or how eloquently we pray.
It's in Jesus.
