It's easy to feel sad when someone is hurting.
To recognize a need.
To care.
But Jess points out something important about the way Scripture talks about compassion:
Compassion moves.
It shows up.
It serves.
It sits with someone who's hurting.
It responds when there's something we can do.
Jesus said, “God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
And sometimes, God brings that comfort through ordinary people who are willing to notice—and act.
Maybe the question isn't simply, “Do I have compassion?”
Maybe it's:
“What would compassion look like in action today?” 💛
