Understand God's Will for Our Lives

Studying your Bible and spending regular prayer is essential for understanding God's will for our lives. By spending time in prayer, we can ask for His guidance and wisdom in our decisions and plans.  

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Have complete faith and confidence in God’s wisdom, love, and power.  

Here are some key principles to understanding his will:

  1.  Seek GOD Through Prayer -  Prayer opens the lines of communication with God and helps you tune into His direction. Allow God to speak to your heart and mind.

  2.  Study Scripture - The Bible is a primary source for understanding God’s will. Regularly read and meditate on Scripture to learn God’s character, promises, and commands.

  3. Seek Godly Counsel -  Surround yourself with mature, spiritually-minded believers who can offer wisdom and advice.

  4. Listen to the Holy Spirit -  The Holy Spirit guides and convicts us. Pay attention 

  5. Be Willing to Submit  -  Be willing to surrender your own desires and plans to God. Have  humility and trust that his plans are best for you.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, help us to understand Your will for our lives. Guide us through prayer, Scripture, and your counsel. May our lives reflect Your purposes and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
